Once those wanting to come back to LOS and do not want to do a 14 day quarantine in BKK dry up the sand box will be empty.

Posts: 492You didn't say don't overpay. You said wait until 11 so you don't pay barfine. So bars have to close early and miss that business, and you want them to miss out on barfines too. How do you expect bars to make money? I guess it's their problem. You do what you want to do. But bars aren't going to reset prices to take a loss. If you don't want to barfine find a freelancer. If you want the benefits of bars, be fair.
I never understand posters who think other mongers should work to drive down price. I don't overpay, but I want to be fair. If a bar offers value to me I expect to pay for it. To encourage people not to is cheap in the greedy sense if the word.

Posts: 492Yes, with Phuket and it's citizens and businesses suffering like never before let's encourage cheapness by tourists. Let's bankrupt bars that haven't made money in over a year. Probably long term it's terrible for everyone

Gentlemen. All of you in Phuket are now trailblazers. All the bars close at 11 so there is no need for bar fines now. You all have a chance to reset the prices. Don't get me wrong if you find a young stunner 10+++pay her what you feel, but don't go crazy. We all know there are not that many Unicorns in Phuket. 1500 be for short time. Make it happen. You have the power. Don't give in. Stay focused. This is for the greater good as us that follow will will maintain the new market price.

Posts: 3040Janni, I have enjoyed reading your trip reports. Thanks for letting us know what it is like being in Phuket this rainy season.

Option #2 provided you can find a one way car rental, would have a lot of sightseeing plus you can take your time and stop off in Hua Hin on the way to Pattaya. Option #3 sounds good too ie just keep doing what you are doing and have a good time until the day before your scheduled flight back home when it will be time to get up to BKK.
With the Covid measures in place Pattaya probably is only marginally better than Phuket girly wise, but Phuket has many beautiful beaches which at the present time are left almost all to yourself which is a once in a lifetime event. I know because I was in Rio de Janeiro in April during their lockdown and all the beautiful RJ beaches were semi deserted and all mine. It was amazing.
Remember that in Pattaya you will need to find a hotel with a decent swimming pool. The Beach in Pattaya looks good, but you can't go in the water unless you are out of your friggin' mind. LOL. So, I seem to be leaning towards option #3: staying in Phuket, but option #2 driving up the Kra Isthmus, seeing the sights, stopping off in Hua Hin for a night or 2 or 3, and driving to Pattaya is not bad idea at all.
I look forward to reading about your ultimate decision either way. 555. Stay safe and have a great time.
NB.

My request is to kindly share details of PTC via a PM. And if it's not possible then please do let me know where I could look her up amongst the herd.
As for me, I've got a few Suzy Wong women currently based in Phuket to satisfy the need, but perhaps they will demand a higher return on investment including dinner and blah blah blah.
But will only finalize with them when I land since everything else is technically just bullshit LOL.
Thanks for the tips on visa etc.
Used it and got mine done.
Now for the dream to come true.
