I was thinking of just renting a hotel room with a pool for a few days (4-5) for us? Either indoor or outdoor? And I suggested inviting a few friends and family over for a small gathering at the pool.

    Is this possible in Bog?

I'm guessing its possible in CTG or MDE, but I looked on booking.com for BOG and don't see sheet.

BTW I'm not looking for any crazy expensive resorts.
If you're both in Bogota, perhaps Melgar or Girardot? It's been ages, but did something similar with an ex-GF and friends years ago. Think it was about a 2 hour bus ride from BOG. We just rented a house that we had to ourselves that had a pool. No reception or anything like that. If I'm not mistaken, Melgar is called the swimming pool capital of Colombia they're so common.

Getting out of Toronto is relatively easy. You would only have to supply whatever information Colombia requires.

Getting back in is a nightmare. The arrivecan app gets used once. Someone checks it is valid. But you fill out information about 5 times. Immigration, screening, Covid testing, etc. Etc. Don't know why they can't use the same information at each step. Say from the ArriveCan app. But they don't. May help if you also download the Corona testing app. Don't know what it is called, but filling it out as you stand in line really sucks.

And then, as a fully vaccinated person coming back you would think they might let you know what you need to do or don't need to do. But after an hour of filling out forms, being interviewed, setting up apps, getting tested. You walk out in a daze without a real clue what you can or cannot do. And the only good thing is that they don't usher you to a quarantine hotel. I had to research what was expected after I got home. Basically they treat everyone as if they are subject to full quarantine, and let you figure it out if you aren't.

Every body has a diff risk tolerance I suppose, but for mongers it's totally live and normal. nobody follows the curfew or really gives a shit about the happenings in centro, life goes on
Civil UnRest Dang-er Danger-- LOL, who knew? I have not noticed a thing.

On another note, I showed guys around SF Monday and Friday last week. Good Times-- I have to write more later. Went last night Off the Hook.

Like the title says, have any of you Canadians gents traveled from Toronto Pearson Intl via Air Canada direct to Bogota? I see Colombia has no restrictions for entry other than filling out the CheckMig form and installing the CoronApp. Returning to Canada, it looks like I need a PCR test taken less than 72 hours before my departure and to use the ArriveCan app to upload my information. I've got both my vaccinations and shot #2 will be in me almost 1 month before I leave, so I am fully mRNA vaccinated. I've got my paper receipts and also backed up digitally in various places, including my phone. Already installed the CoronApp for Colombia and the ArriveCan app for my return to Canada. I've not had Covid to my knowledge and I have never been tested.

My big question is are there any requirements to get on the Air Canada plane in Toronto? I'm a frequent traveler normally, but this is my 1st Covid trip, so I am nervous about what I don't know. I don't want some obscure thing screwing up my trip. My online research has produced mixed results, but nothing specific to Colombia.

I appreciate anyone sharing their experience so far. I plan on sitting on hold tomorrow while I wait to talk to Air Canada and get the rule (s) from them. Their website and chat bots were not helpful. I did search for "Canada" in the Bogota forum and the most recent post was February. A lot has changed since then.
If you go to Bogota from Toronto, please make a post on your return. Thanks.

There is a mobility restriction (restriction de movilidad) for certain kinds of vehicles in Cundinamarca, but if you read a bit further in the article, you'll see that there are also curfews (toques de queda) in Popayan and el Valle del Cauca. The mobility restriction for vehicles and the curfews are scheduled to end tomorrow, July 21, according to the article.

I think the curfew and alcohol prohibition are just for el Valle del Cauca (the department whose capital is Cali) and Popayan rather than all of Colombia. See https://cnnespanol.cnn.com/2021/07/1...ue-queda-orix/.

    Beers and Chicas.

You did not say anything about sex, so The North has nice beer places.

But, you can find sex in the area also.

So try this area. Zona Rosa (Zona T) El Retiro.

    Hello friends,

I am new to this forum thread but have been posting in the Rio thread for a while as I have spent the last seven weeks there and just arrived in Bogota a few days ago. Anyone making the trip directly to Colombia to Brazil should be aware that you need proof of a current yellow fever vaccination. Since I did not have this, I had to get vaccinated in Rio, and then go to Anvisa in the GIG airport to receive the official document required by airlines.

I had visited Bogota immediately before the pandemic started, albeit briefly, so was curious to see how things have changed. The first night after I get some sleep, I started in Chapinero, where I checked out Las Divas, Pussy House, and Club Fortynine. Pussy House and Las Divas have really gone down hill- at this point its just basically a bunch of local dudes watching soccer games with a few tired working girls lounging around. The girls were average and below average- and at Pussy House especially, the vibe was really strange with obnoxious music, aggressive crew, and was just overall uncomfortable. Beers were 10 mil I believe. I had remembered a club that was more enticing and seductive. Over at Club Fortynine things seemed to be in partial disrepair and the club was generally shabby compared to the photos on the internet. However, the ratio was much better with perhaps 10-12 SW lounging around. I grabbed an overpriced beer (20 mil) and approached the most attractive girl, a little 20 year old spinner w braces and big tits-there who quoted me 150 mil, but said that BBBJ was not allowed- not even if I met her outside of the club..
Every woman I have met in Bogota has allowed BBBJ except those on the streets in SF. And if I'm not mistaken, every woman I've met here would have also allowed BBFS not even for anything extra. I guess its all on their perception of you. I did go to Zona T once on was taken to I believe it was Blue room which does look kind of nice and was full of women. All of them were hawk eying me. But after seeing the drink prices, I decided to grab one as a courtesy and get the fuck out of there. I don't mind many chicks but I can imagine how hungry everyone is with so many bodies, and you're probably the only or of the few men who has come in all day. This was a Friday or Saturday night and although some looked to me as genuine interest I just seen big dollar. No GBP signs everywhere I looked so figured it was best to just go after a short time.

I still have yet to go to mezzanine and would like to take the trip one day soon.
