Posts: 3040The Art of the Deal, What Deal?
Slow down fella, the Senate compromise infrastructure bill is not law yet. Your radical left amigos have linked passage of it to their 3. 5 trillion Green New Deal bill that is still pending. "House Democrats, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), have said that they will not support the bipartisan Senate deal unless the Senate also passes a $3. 5 trillion bill on other "infrastructure" through the reconciliation process. The larger bill includes "green" policies, along with left-wing social spending priorities that Republicans rejected in negotiations."
As esteemed radical left Congressman Jamaal Bowman explains, "We were sent to Congress to transform lives. If the Senate fails to support a reconciliation package that meets the moment on climate and our care economy, I can't see myself supporting their goal of passing a bipartisan package for infrastructure."
And the always wonderfully radical and racist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez comments "A lot of times, "bipartisan agreements" are just as defined by who people in power agree to exclude than include."
So who knows if the bill will ever become law. I am not even sure that Nancy will allow a vote on it. But for the compromise infrastructure bill to pass the House it will need plenty House Republican Votes to make up for the radical left House members who vow to vote against it.
Stay tuned for fun and games.

After 4 straight years of turning Infrustructure Week into a sick joke, even when he had a greater number of members of his own Party in each House of Congress than Weak Uncle Joe has now, Trump never got significant bipartisan legislation on the issue this close to passage.
And, man, is the Worst Negotiator, Biggest Snowflake and Most Pathetic Sore Loser of All Time, Donald J. Trump, whining and crying about it! lol.
Senate votes to advance infrastructure bill as Dems forge ahead with economic agenda
July 28,2021.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/28/infr...ndroidappshare
The Senate voted to push ahead with a bipartisan infrastructure plan, which will start the process of debating and amending the bill.
The plan is set to put $550 billion in new money into transportation, utilities and broadband.
Senators voted 67-32 to advance the bill; 17 Republicans and all 50 Democrats voted yes.
Democrats aim to pass the legislation along with a separate plan to invest in child care, paid leave, education and measures to curb climate change.

Nice try. Especially trying to convince us that dump's vaccines work since Fucker Carlson and the rest of the rightwingnut media says that the vaccines are crap. I really wish you rethuglicans would stop twisting yourselves into knots trying to defend the orange fruitcake.
P.S. We're not afraid that dump will run again and win. We're afraid he'll run again and lose. Because then the cockroaches will come out of the woodwork.

Posts: 3040ET, it is always entertaining to see how you bring up non sequiturs in your talking points in order to skate around an issue and obfuscate the truth. Case in point: "Uncle Joe would (not) have radically cut the CDC budget, pulled our monitoring representatives out of the Chinese labs and effectively dismantled our Pandemic Prevention and Response systems against all expert advice and despite specific warnings about doing such a thing likely leading to exactly the outcome it led to as early as 2018, more than a year before those warnings proved correct."
Excuse me, but wasn't it the American Left's favorite boy Dr. Fauci, the preeminent medical expert on Corona diseases who secretly oversaw the funding of change of function research in the Wuhan Lab where Covid 19 pathogens escaped from in the first place? And did it never occur to you that maybe Dr. Fauci lied to Trump in early November & December 2019 to cover up his complicity. Look man, you keep trying to put the blame on Trump when the real blame goes to the Chinese Government who knew sooner than anyone what had happened, locked down all their cities in draconian fashion, but allowed their nationals to get on planes and infect the world. The Chinese Communist Government did that not Trump.
But you don't want to talk about reality or what is really going on now. Any reality that would hold the Chinese Communist Government responsible for the worst pandemic outbreak since the Spanish Flu is a no-go zone for you. Oh no. That is why you try to obfuscate issue.
Another case in point: I could not help but notice how you said nothing in your response to my post about what is occurring right now under Joe Biden's incompetent mis-governance on the Mexican American border where thousands of Covid 19 Variant infected illegal aliens have been allowed to cross over into my country and have then been transported at US taxpayers expense to every part of the country. This gross failure of leadership and rational decision making makes whatever shortcomings you claim Trump had in dealing with Covid in 2019 small in comparison especially when noted that back in November 2019, all the world's politicians including the leaders of the American Democratic Party, the leaders of Western European countries, Canada, Australia, and SE Asia did the same thing. To any honest person this truth is as clear as night and day. The only guilty party in all this is RED China for allowing the virus to get out of China after they knew it was deadly and infectious and of course Dr Fauci and his buddies who were responsible for partially funded the research at the Wuhan Lab and then covering it up.
But there is no point in discussing this with you any further. I know you are a Marcusian. Nothing more needs to be said. For example, I believe you honestly think that Jimmy Carter was a great President and defeated stagflation. The good news for you is that it looks like Joe Biden is following in Carter's footsteps. Your important work describing all the good things that are happening in America today and hiding the reality should be in high demand among your circle of political and economic pals. Good times!

Would have been in place under Hillary.
The virus would have been identified and contained in China.
And the world (and world economy) could have escaped the needless damage of the TrumpShit Pandemic.

On Jan. 6, hundreds of our fellow citizens stormed the USA Capitol, armed and ready for battle. For hours, broadcast live on television and streamed on social media, rioters attacked law enforcement and eventually breached the halls of Congress in an effort to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
Their goal was to subvert America's democratic process and their means to this end was brute force and violent assaults on the men and women of the Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police Department.
How did this happen? Why? Who spurred this effort? Was it organized? When did our government leaders know of the impending attacks and what were their responses? What level of preparation or warnings did our law enforcement have? Was there coordination between the rioters and any members of Congress, or with staff?
We need answers and we need accountability, and the only way to get that is a full investigation and understanding of what happened to ensure nothing like this ever happens again. Such an investigation should include a serious look at the misinformation campaigns and their origins, the lies being perpetuated by leaders including by former President Donald Trump and what impact such false narratives had on the events leading up to and following Jan. 6. We need to be fearless about understanding the motivations of our fellow Americans, even if it makes us uncomfortable about the truth of who they are and the truth of who played what role in inspiring them.
I've never been pessimistic about the future of this country, but if we fail to do this and do this right I will have serious doubts about what the future looks like for America and for our democracy. Self-governance requires accountability and responsibility, and it's why I accepted Speaker Nancy Pelosi's appointment to serve on the House select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, which is holding its first hearing on Tuesday.
I'm a Republican dedicated to conservative values, but I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution and while this is not the position I expected to be in or sought out, when duty calls, I will always answer.
This moment is bigger than me it's bigger than all of us because the future of our country is on the line. This is not about politics: For my part, my wife Sofia and I are expecting a baby boy early next year, and I have to make sure the future is a better one for him that the America he'll be born into is better than what we are facing right now. That facts will be the facts, and truth will prevail over the lies and conspiracies.
The oath many of us take to uphold our Constitution and defend democracy means something. I've taken this oath in my capacity as a member of Congress and in my service in the USA Air Force, and Air National Guard. And I'm committed to upholding my oath by serving on this committee to ensure we have accountability and transparency about the Jan. 6 insurrection.
In that spirit, I believe that all of us who have taken oaths to defend our Constitution must play a role in this inquiry if called upon. This includes members of Congress, military leaders, White House officials and key players in our intelligence field, among others.
Without question, the work of this committee needs to be a nonpartisan effort. It cannot continue to be a partisan fight, where we're taking every opportunity to discredit each other for perceived political points or fund-raising efforts. The childish mudslinging is not helpful and damages the already fragile integrity of our institutions. I urge all of my colleagues as well as the American people to unplug the rage machine and see this situation through clear eyes: America was attacked, and we deserve to know why and how it happened.
We need to restore some trust in this country, and that requires a full investigation of what happened and how the insurrection was able to take place. That's the goal. We need the facts and we need to lay them out for the country to see for themselves and face them head on. In order to heal from the damage caused that day, we must acknowledge and understand what happened, hold the responsible people accountable, learn from our past mistakes and move on stronger and secured in knowing that we as a nation will never let this happen again.

But Trump did.
The fact that between golf rounds Trump came up with a brand name for the efforts to invent a vaccine for it DESPITE his nearly year long attempt to make sure nobody would bother inventing one is nice. But that in no way erases his incomparable contributions to requiring a "warp speed" invention of one to prevent hundreds of thousands if not millions more deaths asap in the first place.

Posts: 2344Real news about yesterday's hearing
When Liz Cheney was asked about comments that House Republican conference Chair Elise Stefanik had made earlier Tuesday seeking to blame House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the insurrection, Cheney stressed that "what happened is absolutely clear."
Trump, she said, "lit the flame for what happened. We've seen that not just in the speech on the Ellipse, but throughout. What this committee needs to understand is exactly what the details were of the planning and the financing. But for anybody to be suggesting that somehow he wasn't responsible, I think it's shameful. ".
The comments from Cheney -- whom Stefanik replaced in May in the No. 3 role in the House Republican conference -- come hours after the House panel held its first meeting, featuring harrowing testimony from four officers who shared their stories of being attacked by rioters. The three-hour hearing was the opening act for the committee, which is preparing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the January 6 insurrection, including the role played by Trump.
In a pointed opening statement during the hearing, Cheney said it is imperative to "know what happened every minute of the day in the White House. Every phone call, every conversation, every meeting leading up to, during and after the attack."
"Honorable men and women have an obligation to step forward," the Wyoming Republican continued. "If those responsible are not held accountable, and if Congress does not act responsibly, this will remain a cancer on our Constitutional Republic, undermining the peaceful transfer of power at the heart of our democratic system."
Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois -- the other Republican lawmaker on the panel -- have faced sharp blowback for joining Pelosi's committee after the speaker rejected two of McCathy's choices last week -- Reps. Jim Banks of Indiana and Jim Jordan of Ohio -- which prompted the GOP leader to withdraw all five of his picks.
A growing group of rank-and-file Republicans have argued the pair should be removed from their other committee slots. The two members, however, have said those threats won't deter them.
"I think that we are at a really important and frankly quite perilous moment. If we look the other way, if we accept what happened on January 6, if we accept what people -- my colleagues are saying that we should somehow look at this as a bunch of tourists. They are trying to whitewash it, ignore it," Cheney told Tapper on Tuesday.
"If we go down that path, then we really are abandoning the rule of law, and we are abandoning what is one of the most fundamental elements of our republic, which is the peaceful transfer of power."

To his credit, Trump succeeded in getting the Vaccines manufactured and ready for roll out in large numbers before any other country and that is something the American Left try as hard as they can to erase from history will never succeed in doing. Again, Macron, Merkel, the Japanese, the Koreans, the Singaporeans: NOBODY succeeded in getting the vaccine into large scale production ready for distribution as soon as the CDC and other governmental World Health Regulatory Organizations gave their approval except President Trump and therefore it is without a doubt that Hillary, Nancy, Kamilla or Uncle Joe would not have done it either. Without Trump the vaccine roll out in the USA would have resembled the roll out in Canada or Germany.
Trump succeeded where no other political leader in the world did because he is a businessman and he knew that the only way to get the pharmaceuticals into early large scale production while their vaccines were still in the testing phase before obtaining government approval was with a billion dollar government purchase guarantee in case the vaccine did not pass the test phase. It was a tremendous gamble, and the Left would have been all over Trump if the vaccines had not eventually passed certification. But Trump took that risk and he deserves all the credit along with the Pfizer and Moderna Pharmaceutical companies for developing the vaccines in record time.
BTW, I received my 1st dose of the Moderna vaccine before Joe Biden was sworn into office. So please, no BS about Uncle Joe doing much of anything on this subject. The only positive thing that can be said about President Biden's role in all this is that his administration did not fuck up the roll out. Thanks' Uncle Joe. You the man!
But this is all water under the bridge. I understand the Left's reason to want to keep beating the Trump horse to death. They hate Trump beyond all reason plus they are deathly afraid he may run for President again and win. HA HA. Meanwhile, Uncle Joe is an incredibly weak President and Kamilla is generally disliked by all.
But if Trump did not do enough to curb the pandemic as you claim, then how can you defend Biden's open border policy? So far, at least 2 million illegal aliens have crossed the US-Mexico border since Biden became president of which an unknown, yet a statistically significant number of these illegals are carrying the active variant Covid 19 virus. This is 1 of 4 major factors that is going to sink the Woke Biden presidency.
#2 is the unrestrained violence surge in all Democratic one party controlled US cities.
#3 is Inflation & the Economy "stupid".
#4 is the shockingly radical, racist, Critical Race Theory being imposed on American school children against most parents wishes.
So, good Luck with all that. Better go back to Trump bashing. Is that still working for you guys?
