I was fully vaccinated. At the time I got infected nobody was talking about breakthrough infections. Now everyone knows that vaccinated people can get infected, can get sick and can spread the disease.

As I understand it, vaccine does not mean one will not get infected. I think a vaccinated person will be similar to asymptomatic case. , then for some people vaccine does not work well.

There is nothing wrong in this Question. I am already vaccinated please watch news even vaccinated people are getting covid. If you suddenly need to come to united states for urgent work what you will do just quarantine yourself for 14 days and then take care of it. Every lecture others when it come to them they won't follow it. If you know it answer it. Even vaccinated people can easily spread virus to others so you won't travel and save everyone? Thank you to everyone contributing lot to this forum it is really helpful. I am flying this Saturday to Medellin and I have a quick question. If X got effected with COVID is there any where X can get COVID negative report to fly back to united states? If X pays more money will X get that report?

Is X an idiot? Because that really sounds like something only an idiot would ask.

If X gets infected with Covid, X needs to go into quarantine for 14 days. Then X can schedule a visit with a doctor (who will come to wherever X is staying, check X's condition and write X a Certificate of Recovery. X can show the positive Covid test and the certificate of recovery and be allowed to return to the United States.

If X tries to find a lab which will put themselves at risk to give him fake negative test results, then X can fly back to the United States, if he succeeds.

Or X can find out that the testing lab will inform the Colombian health ministry that a foreigner, who has tested positive for Covid, is trying to get someone to falsify test results for him and is putting others at risk by failing to quarantine. Then X can learn that being forced to quarantine by the government of Colombia is more expensive than voluntarily quarantining.

X might also learn that he is no longer welcome in Colombia and will be refused entry in the future.

X may also learn that, after forced quarantine, and returning to the US that the airline he wanted to use falsified test results to fly on, while infected and contagious, has banned him from ever flying again.

Considering that knowingly violating US law, while infected with a deadly disease, is probably a felony, X might learn he's permanently banned from ever flying again, after spending some time in prison and paying a heavy fine.

If X isn't an idiot and knows, if he becomes infected with Covid, he can't afford to spend 14 days in quarantine, then X won't make the trip.

Two months ago I was X. Two days before I was supposed to fly back to the US, 3 days before I was supposed to be back at work, I tested positive for Covid. When I received the test result, I immediately contacted the hotel and informed them I needed to quarantine. Then I sent a message to my boss to let him know I would not be back to work for an additional 2 weeks.

After that I began the nearly 36 hour process of contacting Delta Airlines to inform them I would not be able to fly. While I was waiting to talk to someone I informed the people who I had been in contact with. I also posted my status on ISG in case I forgot to contact anyone.

10 days after my positive test, 4 days after my symptoms had disappeared, a doctor came and checked me out and gave me a certificate of recovery. 3 days later, I flew back to the US.
