Airbnb's can be suites on the owner's house, apartments, or many other combinations. You have to contact the host to know whether or not guests are allowed. Always.

My experience in 5 or 6 is that guests are either not allowed or it is not set up for extra guests (ie a part of the host's home). And in one case where it was a condo apartment the rules were quite clear that no prostitution would be tolerated.
