Dchrist don't get down on yourself for passing out and not doing anything with the girl. My last visit I woke up in the hotel room alone and no memory of what happened. I noticed a condom on the floor but empty. So my guess is that I passed out and she just left. Now I'm embarrassed to go back and see her again. LOL.

I'm not too disappointed in the night. If I ever get to see her again, it'll be a great laugh. Disappointed that I didn't get that number. I know I need to be more cautious too. Normally I pace myself well. But when we were both throwing them back, we just got carried away. Fun times but I also know that could have ended very poorly for me.

I'll have to try Ticuan one day. It shows electric vehicle charging and next to Las Pulgas. Some regulars mentioned it as a place to party.

There is EV charging. Pulgas is definitely a party. A little more tame than in years past. But definitely a place you can pick up civies, if that's your thing.

Ticuan is comfortable. It's a "normal" hotel, unlike Rizo or Cascadas. Lots of single gringos. LOL. The food isn't bad. Zona is walkable distance. It just gives me a break from the zona. Sometimes, that area depresses me.

I always stay at Ticuan. I feel better not spending all of my time in the zona. It's just a mile away. It might not make much sense. LOL Just the way I've done it. It works very well for escorts but it's been several months that I've used an agency. All that said, I am thinking about trying Rizo out for my next 3 or 4 day trip.

This info is a few weeks late. But I'll share in case it helps anyone. This was a very odd night. It was both good and bad. So, I set out to go to HK. I was actually hoping to finally meet the Captain. When the taxi pulled up (from the East) traffic wasn't moving so I just got out in front of Tropical. I thought just one tequila. Haha. Sat at the bar, had a couple tequilas and just relaxed a bit. Then a mesero brings over a chica. Generally, I don't like that. I find it awkward and prefer to shop for myself. My first reaction was this girl is cute but needs to smile. So, like a sucker, I said ok, one drink. Her name is Kimmy from Sonora. She's really attractive in the girl next door manner. Glasses. Dressed nicely, fairly conservatively. That one drink turned into hours at the bar. It was definitely odd. We definitely enjoyed each others company. Lots of flirty talk but nothing overtly sexual. She'd wave off meseros, which is always a good sign. She was very new to Tijuana. Hates it. LOL For whatever reason, I wasn't interested in arriba. She never asked. It was just a lot of fun. Eventually, I bought her some real tequilas. Save your outrage; it was worth it. We both ended up very drunk. We ended up going to a VIP room where it became more sexual. LOL But never sealed the deal. This is where it turned bad. We wanted some party favors and the mesero brought us some. But, we both passed out. Totally trashed. This story could have ended very badly. But, I will give a shout out to the mesero. He was cool all night. He was NEVER pushy. He never took advantage of the situation and no doubt, he could have. His name is Cristobal. I know a few of the Tropical meseros and they take care of me. This was my first time with Cristobal and I have alot of respect for him.

Worst part was the rookie mistake of not getting a number. When we woke up in the VIP, I just left. I was still pretty out of it. Don't even recall the ride back to Ticuan, getting to my room, etc. A lot of dumb mistakes. Dangerous mistakes. But, most upset I didn't get her number. I'll definitely seek her out next visit but my guess is she's probably already gone home. I don't think she'll do well in that job.

As long as you had fun, then all that matters. All of the chicas I've met say they don't particularly enjoy their "occupation", but it is a means to an end. I just try to have fun and enjoy the moment. I don't particularly like cerveza, but a good tequila is a winner for me. I'm also a sucker for the northern Mexicanas for some odd reason. I spent 3 days and 2 nights with an HK regular and had fun with the policia the first night driving around at 2 am trying to find tacos. Every place was closed and apparently I was driving the wrong way in a one way. They just told me they had to take my car and I was like cool. I gave them my ID and apparently I must look military as they asked and I just gave them my vet card. They talked it over and just gave me a warning, but still a hassle.

Why stay in Ticuan and not Rizo? They have some nice rooms as well. Surprised they let you stay so long in the VIP rooms when you passed out.

How is the material condition of the "Jizz". The photos look nice like it has been re-modeled in last 3-5 years.

When I walked thru last in 2015 it looked dated and had some sewer smells. The smells are proly still there but if I can get a higher floor maybe not so much.

They have done some major upgrades to the room, and they are really nice nice. If you get the Tropical VIP card it gives you a 80% discount, and at $11/ night, those single rooms are the best deal in town (on Monday & Tues only).

I am not sure if he said that because I bought the VIP card and tried to use it immediately on a nicer room, or because if it was actually taken by someone else.

Your VIP card should apply to the suite, if you can get them to give it to you. Some guys will suggest that you confirm that a suite is available before you mention the VIP card. There is the belief that the desk people will tell you there is no suite available if they know you are using a VIP card.

I will be in California next week and am planning on going down to Tijuana next Monday + Tuesday. I have been there once before, but I spent all my time in HK. This time, I want to explore the block and check out some of the other bars. Right now, my plan is to get a VIP Card + Room at Hotel Rizo De Oro. Their suites look pretty nice, especially with the VIP card discount. For anyone who has stayed in the Hotel before, any idea how readily available the suites are, specifically same day? I would hate to buy the VIP card only to find out that the only rooms available are single / double rooms.

I see there is an option to reserve a room ahead of time, but during my last trip I made a reservation at Hotel Cascadas for a suite, and upon arriving, the front desk person claimed no reservation was made. After showing him the reservation on my phone, he then said the room I reserved was not available. I am not sure if he said that because I bought the VIP card and tried to use it immediately on a nicer room, or because if it was actually taken by someone else.

I suppose because bars are all more aggressive and it's a quick 50 bucks in Bucket girl sized beers. Tropical is definitely the new HK or 2nd HK. I've seen more gringos and Asian guys in tropical the last month than 5 years put together prior.

Oh this talk about the VIP rooms at Trop got me fondly thinking back of the years I spent in Tijuana and the fun in Trop and the VIP rooms.

I now live in Medellin Colombia for 4 years and my last visit to Tijuana and the Trop was almost 4 years ago now BUT before that I was there at least monthly from about 2000 to 2015, have many great memories.

I have stayed in the rooms more times than I can count. I liked the parking located adjacent to the rear as I usually drove in and parked for the weekend or long weekends.

And yes I have done everything in those VIP rooms not only at the Trop but at just about every bar in the zona (HK, etc.) with a VIP room at some time or another over the course of about a decade plus.

I don't like Tropicals layout and wish it had more stages or bars, but guess that is why it is mostly dead. I've found a few gems in the club and they seem more aggressive to pursue you than the girls at HK. I've found the meseros were also good at helping corral talent as they only make tips if you buy drinks. I prefer Chicago lighting, music, but sometimes lineup of ladies are hit or miss as most sit at the bars under limited lighting.

HK is cool at moments for sheer number of pole dancers, but I'm sensitive to smells like BO and smoke. They mopped the main stage last time and tried to dry it by waving a towel over it and the smell almost made me vomit. I had to get up and walk over to Miami since it has better AC and more relaxed vibe.

Never used VIP rooms at Tropical, but sure a little dinero encouragement would do the trick.

Also forgot to add I was able to use my VIP card for 20% discount at Senda Norte and paid by CC, but they required copy of my DL. Chicago regular said her Chinese food she ate was bland and not sure which restaurant she ate at.
