I am looking to enjoy myself in Medellin, but cognizant of economics, especially in light of these past couple weeks about Supply and Demand conversations. Therefore I want a sanity check on prices per hour of girls. To me, $5 or $10 either way doesn't matter, but there's more to it than just me. Five bucks one time could mean $5 the second, and $5 the third, and so on.

Doing my research online of prepagos, many many of them are ball parking 150,000 COP per hour. I don't want to be the guy that starts the change here for myself the next time or for the next guy, so can I ask a consensus of the prices on things? I have been reading this forum for a bit now and this is what I have come to understand. Please vet my information for accuracy:

El Centro: 60 K COP is a reasonable rate, but for 30 minutes or hour? (from what I have read here. Assume no CIM, etc).

Online Girls: a range of 100 to 150 K per hour, that about right? (I saw an advert for 250 K, but just figured it was either bogus or she's vying for the WIN!

Massage Casa: set prices, but typically between 80 K to 130 K for 90 minutes?

Loutron: 300 K, set with no wiggle room. What is the time duration?

Gusto: 200 to 300 K, but goes for 2 hours to overnight. That sound right?

Parque Llares: range from 120 K (unknown time) to 400 K (for 3 hours)? That sound right?

Those prices are about right (other than 60 k high for Centro chica unless you're including the room in that).

IMO the longer times are irrelevant unless you've previously test-driven the chica in a short (one hour or so) session. There's little to gain and lots to lose by agreeing to a long-term deal with a girl you don't already know. First, there's always a good chance she cuts the encounter short inventing some excuse that she has to leave. Second, you might not like her nearly as much once she gets in the room with you. She could have bad baby damage, be on her period, or just have a smelly pussy.

It's always easier to extend the session if you're having a great time.

Almost everything in your post is wrong, including the spelling for Parque Lleras.

First thing, you can stop worrying about being the first person to overpay. That bridge was crossed long before you were born. What you decide to pay is not going to change what I pay, or what anyone else pays.

El Centro girls are supposedly 30 k, that's typically for a maximum of 30 minutes, and often only 15-20.

For online advertisers 80 k-150 k for 1 hour is a reasonable range.

Casas are about 50 k for 30 minutes in El Centro. In Laureles they run between 80 k and 150 k per hour.

Loutron I believe is 300 k for 1 hour, although 1 hour is probably the maximum time you get for 300 k. If you finish in 30 minutes, your time is probably up.

Girls in Gusto usually start out at $200 USD. Some ask for less, some ask for more. When Gusto closes some will accept a lower price. The price generally is for 1 hour.

Girls working in Parque Lleras generally start at 200 k for 1 hour. Some want more, some want less.

My advice is to never negotiate for overnight with an unknown girl. There are too many unknown factors which could end up being an expensive disappointing experience. If you are clicking well with a girl, there's a chance she will be in no hurry to leave. Why offer her more to stay if she'll stay anyway? And why pay someone to stay around if they don't want to be there?

This post is in response to reading the post about having phones out, printed pages, maps in general.

Medellin looks to be on a grid coordinate plane. With Calle being your X-axis and Carrera being your why-axis. The little trick for me is "calle East: and "Carrera north". It is a little mnemonic trick that says to me Calles run east-west and Carreras run north-south. See that I capitalized the same letters?

Calle North and Calle South has an event horizon that runs through Pobaldo. As you go north, the Calles count higher. Unless you are going to Invigato, Calle Sur (Sur is south in Spanish) will never enter your thinking. However, the same is true. Further south you go, the numbers will increase.

Carrera West and Carrera East does not seem to exist. The Carreras start way off in the east, so they just count from 1 on upwards as you go westwards. Having a river bifurcate the city is helpful, IMO, as it says "east-side" or "west-side", but to me though alone though as I don't know if anyone else sees it that way.

Does Medellin have squiggly streets? You bet it does, but it does not change the fact that you can pretty easily navigate if you know which way is north, or any one cardinal direction.

If you have been to NYC or any city with a grid system, even if it has twists and turns, you can figure out Medellin.

Nexuses to keep in mind: Carrera 39 and Calle 9, "Carrera 51 Calle 51" aka the center of the universe jajajaja kidding but rather Carrara 53/ Avenida Cundinamarca and Calle 52 which is Veracruz, and lastly La Setenta or aka Carrera 70.

If you start out at the San Antonio metro station and walk west, the area bounded on the east by the north, south metro tracks, on the south by the east, west metro tracks, on the north by the Veracruz church and on the west by Carrera 54, is almost entirely shopping. Clothing stores of all types are in practically every building. You could probably spend 3 days doing nothing but checking out the stores and kiosks and still not find them all. There are lots of bargains, but quality does vary.

There are also dozens of shopping centers, malls or whatever you want to call them north of San Antonio between the Metro tracks and Oriental.

Another good spot for clothes shopping is in Itagui just around the corner from the Mayorista red light zone. It appears that the quality is a bit higher there, but prices are also higher.

If clothes shopping is your thing, Medellin is a good place to indulge. Before the drug cartels, the textile industry was Medellin's claim to fame.

Excellent choice of restaurant. I am overdue for a visit to Sambombi. For me it is like Idilico in Manila but with more culinary technique and fewer gimmicks. I got "Pretty Woman" vibes from the part about the Hotel Deseos to Poblado boutique hotel journey.

On Friday I decided to treat one of my barrio wives to a night out on the town away from Centro. Normally I bed her at Hotel Deseo's by the Airport bus station but decided to see if she would be like a fish out of water when I took her to Poblado which she never had been to before. I told her we would be spending the night and eating in an elegant restaurant so to bring something formal to wear versus jeans with holes in them. I booked a room at a Boutique Hotel with a balcony a few blocks away from LLeras. Nicely appointed room with a king size bed, AC, and a big flat screen. The perfect fuck hut.

Upon checking in and getting situated in the room, and figuring out the TV remotes which can be a challenge at times, the good times started to roll. Great session and then we went out on the balcony and had cocktails and snacks while watching the Sunset with our feet proppped up on the balcony. As a side note, if you have an eye for it and you can pick out things for your girlfriend to wear Medellin is a gold mine. The clothing is decent to good quality and the prices are really cheap. I probably spend more money than the average mangerer on chicas but by no means would I ever infer that you have to spend extra money to be happy. You can spend little money or no extra money and do fine, but for a little extra money you can really increase their performance. That's more of a personal style than a recommendation and I don't think anyone should ever feel pressure to outperform anyone on price, higher or lower.

I do believe in paying slightly above fair market value because I think that gives me a lot more back in performance but that's just a personal strategy.

The market is psychological and doesn't have an official price list posted on a computer or billboard sign or otherwise advertised, so you have to guess at the price from personal experience and what you read in places like here but it's not hard to figure out. Right now the basic rate is floating somewhere around 40 mil COP you can try to go under and risk not getting the girl you want or you can go a little higher and be more certain of success although performance is variable as we all know.

I'll sketch out a graph of the law of supply and demand on a napkin soon and take a picture of it for here. The two most common misconceptions about price are that there is a relationship to payment or cost but both are completely independent variables and have nothing to do with the price you pay.

That doesn't mean that price is not going to go up over time as Medellin becomes more well-known and more Gringos float in but that's due to the number of Gringos and the increased demand they create and not the price they pay. If the number of Gringos increases and the number of putas equally increase to compensate for the increased demand then he price will stay the same. That is an unknown factor at this time.

Why is this point so important? Because if you understand it, then it actually increases your negotiating power, not decreases it. If you're arguing against or for the fair market value you should understand the psychological effect it's going to have on the deal, and not that you're delusionally controlling the price by what you pay. Actually most guys even if they don't understand the principal aren't going to care enough about what other guys pay and they shouldn't. They should just concentrate on what they want. But to put pressure or suggest to other guys that they should be concerned about payment because of how it affects others is bad information, erroneous, flat- out one hundred percent wrong, delusional and misguided. And it devalues the other information you might be providing as a subject matter expert.

I can oversimplify it and say you can be sure that as long as you're happy what you paid and hopefully maybe the girl is happy too, that is the Hallmark of a good deal. Let the market take care of the price which it does automatically.

Wow, I got off on a side tangent but this is important.

The irony of it all is mongering is not a science, it does not depend on IQ, success is mostly due to Common Sense, Street smarts, and the ability to read people. Intelligence is a factor on expertise of these peripheral subject matters like price and the other nuts and bolts but the act of mongering itself is more of an art than a science. I will argue in a future post that intelligence can actually be more of a hindrance than a help when it comes to mongering.

From what I recall, Brazil is the most expensive country to monger in Latin America.

It depends on how you make the comparison. If you compare casa, for example, Energy in Laureles to typical Clinicas in Sao Paulo. The price is about the same, some are higher, some are lower. The difference being Clinica is cleaner in that you always get a clean towel, clean bed sheet, Listerine in the room, have not had a not working shower yet. GFE is the default. So I will say Sao Paulo is a far better value at this price range.

Sao Paulo has night clubs that can get expensive but again GFE is the default, you can just make out on the sofa for hours before going to the room which I did do in La Isla sometimes too but never to the extend that I can do in Sao Paulo clubs. There is no strippers asking for tips and the working girls rarely ask for drink, tip or upsell, at least I have not encountered one yet. LOL. If you like La Isla, then you will like clubs here. La Isla only has one bar. The clubs in Sao Paulo can have more than one bar, restaurant, pool table, cafe.

The comparison of metro in the two cites is similar. Medellin is cheaper but Sao Paulo is far better because it has more lines, longer distance, A/C, more signs and better, more handicap friendly, restrooms, shops and free condoms.
