To answer Christian G, no there is nowhere in Barcelona with the same VFM as the casas you mentioned in Madrid. Madrid is significantly cheaper than Barca. I think the best options is to plan a trip in 2 times. You go to the brothel you look at the line up with name, you can try or leave. 2) the other option is to take a bnb flat. Good point is that you have no keycard, no room service, no registration: total freedom. But price range seems higher for the same standard you have in hotel. Even some hotel offer best room than bnb for the same price.

3) As Barcelona is filled with brothel with their own flat, it's the best vfm choice to go to their place. Even if their room are designed for enjoying sex I'm afraid to be stressed.
