You are a saint my friend. Really appreciate all of these addresses. It will be my 2nd time in Sao Paulo. The first time I had booked a hotel in Jardins. Is there an airbnb or hotel you could recommend that is close to Moema? I feel like Brazilian hotels in the medium budget category have really shitty rooms or maybe my expectations are too high but even places that had 8+ scores on booking.com felt super underwhelming.

I don't know if any of these hotels meet your standard but I stay at Mercure hotels in Moema. There are 3 of them, about $40-$50 a night, with pool, gym, and dry sauna. If you book on https://all.accor.com and become a member, you get 10% off, plus points which are worth about 8 cents per dollar spent towards future reservations, and if you book for 10 days or more, you get an even bigger discount and breakfast is included. My costs there varied from $25 a night to $40 a night when I stayed there September and October 2021.

The first two have dry saunas that are open to guests (although only one or two guests at a time because of Covid restrictions), which is why I stayed at those two on my last trip. The last two also have airbnbs in them which may be a little cheaper than the hotel rates. Check on airbnb.com for these as as well as other ones in the other hotels below and in the Moema area.

There are some other hotels near these that other people have stayed at and liked like the Comfort Hotel Ibirapuera, Bourbon Sao Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Hotel, and Meli Ibirapuera at about the same price.

There is also Tsue The Palace Flat (half a block from 57 Friends House), which is a condo that has units for rent at maybe a little cheaper price than the hotels. You may get a better deal than on hotel websites like hotels.com or booking.com if you contact them directly.

This habit of catering to Japanese mongers only is fairly common in Asia. I experienced it in Thailand.

For anyone wondering about Casarao. I was there 2 years ago on my first trip. Just took an uber from my place to Casarao. My uber driver warned me to keep an eye on the drinks in case anyone might want to drug me. Great guy: the.

Place was packed. Easily 30 girls inside. I took a Japanese brazilian that performed alright and paid 300 + room (upstairs) for 1 hour if I remember correctly.

On my recent October trip I briefly checked out Lotus Club, Av. Juscelino Kubitschek, 373 on a Friday night at around 10:30. It was obvious that some real money had been invested into the remodel and the place looked great. The staff were very friendly too. An attractive receptionist told me I could look around before paying for admission, but I chose to pay assuming I would find what I was looking for. She escorted me up to the 2nd floor where the main bar and entertainment area is located. She said there would be more girls and live music later in the night.

But at the moment, unfortunately, the place was nearly empty with only 4 customers and 5 girls and the 5 girls were not quite up to my Boate standards. I hung around for 30 minutes or so hoping more girls would show up. When none did I took my leave, but before I left, the attractive receptionist (I would have done her without hesitation) introduced me to the manager who said that if I came back anytime during in the next week, my admission would be comped which was a nice touch and I really hope the place succeeds, but to succeed a Boate needs girls, lots of attractive girls..

I will give it a shot next week when I'm in Town. If any other fellow monger is willing to try it, please PM or reply here so we can meet. I'm planning on visiting Bomboa and of course, the all known Scandallo haha.
