Quick simple question. Would you recommend Santo Domingo or Santiago.

Keep in mind for recommendation I an not too concerned with price. Definitely want a nice high end woman or women.

Santo Domingo 4 times the options with less hassle. All you have to do is RTFF and able to speak a modicum of Spanish. Lots of Venezuelan, Colombian and Puertoricans to go along with your normal stable of Dominicans and Haitians. Unless you are using a taxi driver / tout to show you around do not use them as your prices will almost double. Get a tour around, mark in google maps and ditch the touts quickly and make no selections. GBP is must and has some nice girls despite being an assembly line.

Uber works there and is a 1/4 of the price. They call and say it's a different rate and need cash cancel immediately and complain online via the app. They will yank them off the streets as soon as your complaint hits their offices.

And insight to what some of them want to hear? Or is it basically just letting them know take care of me and I will take care of you?

SD will have more variety because it's bigger but those Santiago chicas are really sweet and probably less mileage. It's just a 2 hour bus ride between the two so why not do both?

Definitely Santo Domingo. We have the casas since price is not a problem for you. Go there and have a drink but ask the price first. Talk to the manager to ask his recommendation. This is just part of the setup to be cool with him to exchange wassap numbers so he can deliver special orders. We have several casas from GBP to Oasis and others.

Thank you! I was leaning towards SD so I guess that's a go now. Will be there in about 3 weeks for about 6 days.

Just came back from the DR I was at gbp Friday night we where 3 guys and 6 girls I had an hour with this sexy girl from moca at least that what she said firm titties and bubble butts. She was with another friend red bone with nice big dragon tattoo on her leg to much attitude on her so I chooses no happy hour. 1500 peso for my girl (cheila) and pound away I go glad I choose her she was a good lay. I have done almost the entire island but I would say its not for everyone. I'm a backpacker that travel and stay between 2 or 4 weeks on the island hopping from town to town every day or 2 exploring the island so I have no problem dealing with cheap basic hotels, or sleep a night or two in a cabana or even in a local family house, I can handle most of the local food and transportation, and I love to dance (salsa, meringue, bachata) and can communicate in Spanish. If you don't have problem with any of the above mentioned and you love to experience the authentic DR then yes its worth it. As for mongering I have visited tons of local nightclub and brothels all over the island that most foreigners don't visit often which means cheap pretty girls that has not been spoiled by gringos.

Long time since I've posted. Traveled to SD maybe two years ago and heading back soon. I have no regulars, would love to know any recommendations for girls. Would love to know of any night or day spots where I can meet some ladies as well. Thank you in advance.

Rental Car – I always use my credit card and the Collision Damage Waiver the card offers (nothing new). I print my rental car reservation with the details and the CDW to avoid any issues when I'm picking up the car. When I was picking up my car this visit a person in front of me had no idea what he was doing and the agency was taking advantage of him. I decided to step in and help so I could go about my business.

Accommodations – Stayed at an Airbnb in Gazcue. Nice two bed room with covered parking. Was a little bothered when I asked the host for an early check-in; the reply was its not allowed. Then when I arrived at the check-in time, the room was still being cleaned. Besides that, I'm a light sleeper and the morning traffic noise was disruptive.

Dining – Maraca, nice place as mentioned below. Food was decent, has a bar, quite a few people take fotos at the place as seen on social media. El Chef, nothing noteworthy. Adrian Tropical. Malecon, normal vibe, always stop here for food or a drink or just relax and listen to the ocean. Food Inc. – nice experience, it was on my to-do list for this trip. Villar Hermanos, I love this place and the place next door. I could probably eat here every day when I'm in the capital, which I usually do.

Social Activity – Stopped by the pool hall on Parque Eugenio María de Hosto for a few nights. They stay open late for drinks and was showing the baseball playoffs, nothing else special about this place. El Conde, didn't seem as busy during the afternoons as I have seen prior to COVID, though I was visiting during the week and not the weekend. I always pick up a few local cigars on El Conde. I did see a cigar shop on Ave Mella but didn't purchase anything. The casa de cambio on El Conde was convenient but not the best rate. Walked up Ave Duarte from Ave Mexico to Expreso 27. Mostly people watching and a little shopping. The La Duarte con Paris area is being remolded. Went to LOS Tres Ojos, nice experience / something to do; no need for a tour guide. I did see some activity on Ave Independencia at night.

COVID Test - $4,100 pesos. Received results in a few hours. Try to complete the eticket. Migracion. Gob. Do in advance. I contacted my health insurance company and they will reimburse me the $4,100.

Transportation – I mostly drove but did use Uber also. Yes, traffic during the day can be difficult. The day I was driving to El Chef I realized why I no longer stay above Expreso 27 when I visit, it just seems to me the traffic is worse.

I was traveling with family so not much else to share.
