Went to Colombia beginning of Dec.

What would happen when you get sick? Colombia looks like a very poor country, with very poor public services. Do you know enough about their healthcare system, health insurance and the quality of care they can deliver there? In contrary, Tijuana is right next to San Diego with its good healthcare system and many medical facilities staffed with competent professionals. If you are stricken by illness, you can walk, crawl or hire some guys to push your wheelchair across CBP checkpoint and dial 911. An ambulance will be happy to run over quickly, pick you up and deliver you to the right medical facilities, medical care givers will do everything available, including some very expensive procedures, so they can bill your insurance or Medicare. Isn't that sweet?

You can find decent 2-bedroom apartments in clean, safe areas near the border pretty cheap. Partner up with another guy so you can look out for each other in emergencies. By my estimation you would have plenty money left from your pension every month to spoil your bar sweethearts to death..

The Captain was posting in the appropriate threads throughout his trip, didn't cause too much of a firestorm. He was posting here because people on this thread were asking his opinions in light of his trip. I love Germany, didn't go to the top clubs in Frankfurt, but have been to several by Dusseldorf Area. Acapulco Velbert (only 40 euro for 30 min), living room, goldentime (50 euro for 30 min). I am glad I am back home in CA.

Under CoVid, the only countries available for travel were in South / Central America. I announced my intent to travel a few weeks in advance. The beach is an immense mud flat dumped full of debris, construction materials and rock boulders since the Spanish occupation time. Restaurants are all tiny, expensive holes in the wall except the upscale Casa Blanca at Plaza Bolivars with outdoors seating's, but it was raining on an doff day and night. Unable to find any taxi at night, I walked about 7 blocks from bar Bocatorenas downtown back to the condo in Castro Viejo, it was dark like a ghost town, with lots of dark, wet, filthy alleys, pretty scary. Panama City and Castro Viejo are not recommended.

Bogota's Santa Fe district has lots of girls on streets, in bars and casa de citas, many Vennies, some very hot, but the whole area is muddy, filthy and nasty, dog shit every where, reeking of feces and urine. ST hotel rooms are about the same cleanliness as Tijuana. Food in Colombia is very bland, nothing good even in upscale restaurants.

Cartagena has a very beautiful, nice, clean old Spanish town and the largest Spanish old fort in South America, good for sight seeing. Lots of hot girls around the old Clock Tower, Torres del Reloj, and near clubs inside the walled city, but they were being cracked down and dispersed when I was there.
