Solarium

I had been to Solarium previously but man what a difference. This has got to be the premiere Terma in Rio hands down. The quantity, selection, and vibe on this occasion were the best I've seen and totally different from my previous visit. Obviously I am half kidding and half serious. For what its worth, when I do smell people burning weed around town, man, it sure smells good.

Customs are now very diligently scanning all incoming suitcases and both a friend and I have recently had to pay fines, or taxes, on electronics we had in our suitcases. In both cases it was cellphones that we still in the box which we were bringing as gifts for someone special.

Probably far from all suitcases will be scanned. I had several friends arriving in Rio the last two weeks. None had any issue with customs. I brought some stuff that would make customs complain.

But in 30 years they only stopped me once asking what I had in my bags (I told them and that was good enough). There were two customs guys when I arrived who was just "eying" the passengers. I probably looks honest and innocent.
