It appears to me that Sosua (and the DR) has for all practical purposes, become a colony of the US. Same copycat dumb sports bar with 500 screens. Soon the island would be like Puerto Rico, with no one wanting to go there. I do not want to sound like a broken record but I sure miss the place when Bachata music used to be piped out to the streets. A poorer place but with a lot of character, the island used to be. Ah well.

The guy spent millions and has no customers. Bailees and the Casino have the action locked down. He needs to market his business.

Posts: 1327This 56th Super Bowl is on February 13,2022. Usually this Sunday coincides with the seasonal peak, and always a great day to meet. As of January 31, the Dom Rep government will require locals to get three jabs for a full schedule.

I would add "Frannie" to the list albeit he has been MIA for quite a while.
Best wishes to you and to all here for the year in the offing.

You know after all these years of reading yall reports and learning and growing from them I would love to get Oldkool, Temp, Mani, Sir Charles, Mr. E, Oakie, Mr. Gogo, Grownman etc (am I missing anybody?) All of us together and we just meet up at a bar, chill and talk that shit in real time. ALOT of life knowledge could be learned and shared in just that single moment.
In any case Happy Holidays and Be Safe Monger Gents.

Thanks Old Kool and the rest of the guys for all your contributions to this board. I think 2021 has ended stronger than the last two years with many positives. Even though we have different philosophies exchanged here, the information was plentiful enough for a newbie to fish through and find out what's going on in Sosua.
Our sister board "Punta Cana" has seemed to pick up life and is now becoming relevant as guys chime in there. Santo Domingo still has everyone's eyes as the big city. Blackbeard's is still rolling. For those of you who like a more personal touch schroll on down to the " Grownman boom boom room" for some laughs as only Grownman can tell it.
Shoutout to my mentor and board favorite BBQ RIBS, miss you bro. RIP.

Things in my life are changing and I do not think I will be able move like I HAVE in the past. This year I have been to the DR at least 7 times and have had an awesome time. Practice makes perfect and I have perfected my methods to maximize my enjoyment. We all have our own requirements for satisfaction. The key to success is doing what makes you happy and being safe. I love Sosua for the variety that is there. Access to a few 100 women and every trip more new ones. There are other places in the world with beautiful women. I know Sosua like the back of my hand which makes for smooth sailing.
