I remember my first visit to Thailand several years ago and walking into a mall where there were a large congregation of Thai women watching a demonstration with models exhibiting how to use facial cream that would make your face and skin whiter. It was not first time that I would see this display and that's when I discovered there is a prejudice here towards darker skin folk. Kind of amazing when you think about it.

It's all relative. The average Thai lady is much lighter than those down by Malaysia.
