    Singapore tracing App

Restaurants and Malls want to see the "Green" screen on your smartphone.

If you are trying to avoid scanning before entry then this comes down to enforcement by the individual business.
Looking forward to your Report after you visit Singapore. Good Luck!
Thank you BKKguru and SuperRaven for the information. This is all new to me, I did not know that I need the tracing APP to go restaurants, malls or shops. I know it is the same in Seoul according to a friend who is been going there every two months until recently. I did not know that this is the case in Singapore as well. Another questions, they say on the APP website that you turn on when you leave home. What if you get a girl at home or hotel, do you also need to have it on?

I agree, NYjimmy there is little point in trying to avoid scanning in if the shops asks you to do it. In Singapore the regulations are tight and most places enforce them willingly to avoid getting shut down. Singapore has about as many CCTV cams as London and when they find a black spot they roll out portal cams and put up lights. A good example of this is some of the back streets of Gaylang. One day it's a dimly light street the next it's got portable cam and new lights.

Point being even if you want hide that's it's you going to X, you most likely on 20 CCTV cams before step foot in the door.

My question is about the tracing APP (TraceTogether App) that visitors are required to install on their phone and required to have it connected and the blue tooth has to be on all the time. What if they link you to a massage place or an escort (if one of them is positive). Does anyone have an experience with this APP and the rules associated with it? What if you turn it off for an hour or two? Any information would be appreciated.

    Tracing APP in Singapore

In WeChat there are some buttons at the bottom of the screen, one for Chats which shows all your chats, another is Discover, if you tap this one of the options you get is People Nearby and you then see a list of all WeChat users based on their distance from you. On a Sunday in Singapore this used to be full of nearby Pinays especially if you're in the middle of the city, and even just firing up WeChat and Tinder and Blender could see you getting pinged by a lot of local ladies on those apps.

A few years back I was in Singapore and it was Sunday afternoon so I jumped onto WeChat and hit People Nearby and even before I could scout out the locals I got a ping from a Pinay maid who was out on Orchard Rd with her friends, we chatted for a little bit and she made it very clear she wanted to meet up before going home. Pic showed she looked decent enough so as it was a very hot day I asked if she'd like to visit me to have a nice cool shower and a cold beer. She quickly agreed, no mention of money changing hands. I went down to the hotel lobby and strategically positioned myself to see her come in but without being seen by her, she passed muster in terms of being like her pic so up we went to my room, she had her shower and came out in a bathrobe, we shared some beer and then we shared the bed!

As shame about OT, we never got a chance to give the old lady a proper burial. I hope Brix can come back.

I'm not on it yet but I've heard that WeChat has some feature you can search nearby people and some have been up on that hooking up. Any insight down there if this is working?

I had planned to be there next month, but now I guess I have to roll it to another 2 more months. Funny thing I see this domestic I know and her Whatsapp feeds and she is always out in the park and getting some dude to pay her way for meals. Guess the game is changing.
If you look at the "sammy" forum they talk about michat and some maids posting on that app. In the USA, I can't download it because it's a singapore app and I can't use the Sg app store with my US account (apple makes this stuff so hard). I am still getting hits on tagged (even though I won't be going back to Sg until COVID really calms down). Wechat has been good in Vietnam, never tried it in SG though (didn't need to hhaha). Still the eye to eye at Lucky plaza or city plaza or penisula plaza can be fruitful (and with masks, that's about all the face you can see anyway). I miss the filipinas and those tight pussies, damn COVID.

    GG.

Yes, Wechat does have a search nearby feature. When in a likely area such as down near Orchard you can find women offering services. My impression is that some people have had success with that but I have never contacted anyone for said services.
Thanks for the link. I guess I have to load up WeChat to see for myself.

Thanks for the inputs. I think I will try it but wait until I get there and get a tourist sim since I don't want my real number being posted up.

To answer your question Brix is closed, and OT is dead.

I went for a floor by floor walk through OT one afternoon and on another night, every bar closed except for one right near the front, so all the 'classic' spots are locked up. Only exception are all those little 'massage' shops with the busy women out front trying to drag you in, sometimes literally! More than half of the shop spaces in OT are empty with 'Rent' or 'Lease' signs on them. No streetwalkers outside either, they are usually around the entry and both corners.

On Friday night OT was dead like I have never seen it before, it may as well have been some boring office block in a business park. Seriously it's that bad. I don't think it will ever come back and if it does it will be more like a 'last blast' before the demolition team moves in and turns OT into yet another shopping mall with condo towers above.
Good post and I can 2nd that it's been dead for a while. OT has been sold is on the market. Mothership or ST reported it.
