Cuban customs can easily search your luggage. Not sure what they would think about an Israeli bringing in goods to sell on the street. In fact the Cuban Americans who are bringing stuff to their family members wrap their luggage with cellophane so they will know if the Cuban authorities have gone through it. I would be careful here, you want to fly under the radar in Cuba. I would also add that I heard the reason tickets are so expensive now is that the few airlines who are flying there know that the Cuban Americans really want to bring stuff to their family who need it badly now after covid.

Yes, food is in short supply right now, but Cubans are very resourceful, if they don't have money, their relatives living out of Cuba will help, as a matter of fact, pre-Covid we were sending over 3 billion dollars a year to our family there. But if you can't find a buyer, you could get a good deal with the ladies there. You'll have nothing to lose.

Just go, bed a few Cubanas but flight under the radar. Don't make any unnecessary noise.

There is no money in Cuba.

    Only poverty, thanks to socialism.

Cubans are being led to believe that poverty is because of the blockade.

    Cuba is like Africa.

How do you get 1 million euros out of Africa.

    If you bring 2 million.
Cubans will go to Africa if they could but it's hard for them to get there. They used to go to Haiti to buy stuff to sell back in the island.

My daughter told me that if she find a reliable boat, she'll make the trip to the USA.

    Very hard times there!

What are prices for the girls in Cuba in USD? Been scrolling on old treads don't seems to be finding much info wondering if it would be similar to my DR trips or not.

Here is a list of some of my recent Facebook friends from out in the provinces, in case anyone plans out venturing there. I have the impression that the number of female Cuban facebook profiles is increasing quickly now that gringos are back. I'm up a thousand friends now. Everyone I chat with is fine with 60 euros a day (euro is preferred to dollars, it's now about 90 CUP to the euro on the street) and they don't mind signing in with the casa owner. What I have noticed also is that I don't immediately get asked for phone recharges anymore. Whoever is making these profiles seems more interested in getting that 60 euros per day. I also have the impression that girls from the provinces will make the journey to Havana if someone is willing to send them bus fare. I don't accept responsibility for anyone sending money to a person sight unseen.

I am very curious to hear about anyone's on the ground experiences. Are girls afraid to hang out in the clubs and on the street which was previously the method used to meet up? Is facebook the way to go? What about badoo, tinder or other online sources? What are the actual prices, what about registering at the casa, etc.

I'm wondering what are the current restrictions in Havana. Is it mandatory to wear mask on the streets, is there any curfew, are the bars and restaurants working normal? Can someone who is in Havana right now (or have been in the recent weeks) gives accurate info? Info on Google can be quite misleading about things like that. Thanks.

I've been to Havana many times and have always had to fly thru a gateway country. Cancun airport had 4 flights daily (Cubana and AeroMexico).

Big problem is that Cubana is very unreliable and connecting flights home are easily be missed.

    Not really!

Copa also flies from Panama. Prices are still high. With lots of CoVid unknowns, not even sure if Cuba will let them land after Jan 1.
Not anti-castro exiles but those who made US authorities believe they were prosecuted in Cuba but as soon as they become legal they fly to the island. They don't care about politics, just the money.

The prices to go to Cuba is nothing compare to the price of a ticket to Nicaragua, as high as $3,200 one way!

Tickets will stay high for a while. Fortunately, I travel to the Dominican Republic!

I agree that, based on Facebook, it would appear that Cuba has now become home to many of the world's hottest Latina porn actresses, some of them even have a few profiles under different names. I guess it's the Communism which is attracting them likes moths to the flame.

All that I can say is remember the golden rule: Never give a penny to anyone you have not met in person. Seeing is believing.

Most of these profiles may be actually one fat old bald guy named Jose who is scamming people for phone recharges, however I think that there must be some real girls in there too.

At any rate, here are a few of my latest Havana friends. I think that the best strategy is to keep sending these profiles friend requests and then facebook will send you more Cuban girls as friend request suggestions, send them friend requests and continue until you are in Cuba and you can put them to the test with face to face meetings and then please tell us how it went.

I will be in Havana January 8 till the 13, just a quick trip this time. Too bad you won't be there. I usually just stay in Havana though I have traveled the island several times in the past. A lot of Fun. I am down for crossing the island again sometime later this year.
