First off, great Reports Chocolatehuntr. I thoroughly enjoy reading about your RJ adventures. These reports are both informative and highly entertaining. For example your latest one:

We walked Rua Francisco Eugenio for a look at the SWs. I spoke to several, including my first SW on that route who didn't have kids. She's Gabriela, 20 yrs, morena, braces, a pretty girl. She asked for $r50 for 30 minutes plus $r15 for a nearby room. I took her number and moved on.

After arriving in VM around 21 hrs, we explored several casas, then made our way inside the horseshoe. I spoke to a slim morena named Chocolate, 22 yrs, no kids, who offered her services for $r70 for a half hour. We had just arrived, so I took her number, and we continued exploring the casas.

A few minutes later, Chege calls me from across the street to come over quickly. I arrive, and he points to a gorgeous black girl. Slim, firm body, all natural with a beautiful smile and great energy. A diamond in the rough. I wait for her to finish chatting with a local guy, then make my introduction. She is Cacau, 19 yrs, no kids. Her price is $r85 for 30 minutes. This girl is exactly my type (another shout-out to Chege), so I took Cacau for short term, and her program was excellent. Will see her again.

After finishing, I returned to the street and checked my phone. Vagabundo had gone home, and Chege had moved on to Zona Sul. He was in Copa. So I grabbed an Uber and met Chege at Mab's around 23 hrs. It was Monday night, and the place was full of tourists watching American football on a projection screen. Surrounding the gringos, standing against the walls, were girls waiting to be called over.

Everyone was focused on the game, so Chege and I decided to explore surrounding areas. We first arrived at a small lounge called Marrakech. I peeked inside and saw a handful of beautiful girls looking for company. I even recognized one morena as a passista from a samba school that I had visited last week. We talked for a few minutes, then Chege and I moved on to the next spot.

Around midnight, we arrived in Casablanca night club. After paying $r100 cover (with two drinks included), we entered the small club. About 20 girls were standing, sitting, and dancing. The girls were all blancas, except for one, and there were only about 7 guys. It was my first time in this club, and I was curious about the logistics and prices. So I asked several girls. Casablanca has rooms on site, and the girls are also available for take-away to your hotel / apartment. Prices last night ranged from $r400-500 for short term to $r1500-2000 for all night.

Chege and I had our two drinks, then we moved on to the next spot.

    <snip>

At that point, it was clear to both Chege and me that the night was over. We had hunted from VM to Copa, gathered some great intel, and were able to compare and contrast the two.

Some Observations (These are all MY OPINIONS)
    • Each of our mongering experiences depends on several factors such as: the amount of time we have available in the country, local language skills, comfort level in exploring different parts of the city, and ideal physical type of girls you like. There is no right or wrong way to monger. And there is no judgment for anyone who wants to go high-class, mid-class, or low-class with their spending. Each of us has a different preference, and to each his own. The benefit of a city like Rio is that there is something for everyone.
Now concerning your observations let me say that.

On Obs #1: I totally concur. We each of us have our own tastes & preferences as to girls, venues, and what we are willing to pay. In addition each us possesses varying skill levels, language abilities, and risk tolerances. There is no one way to punt that will satisfy all.

On Obs #2: There is overlapping quality levels among different venues. I am sure that the VM girl you describe above would fit right in at Solarium looks wise. But overall I personally prefer going to Solarium more often than going to VM for many reasons including the higher percentage of girls to my liking at Solarium resulting in an easier process of finding what I want although I will still occasionally visit VM for a change in scenery if for nothing else. But some places continually disappoint me with the quality of their girls and so I lose interest after a few visits. Mabs being a perfect example. I just never see girls there that I want to take home.

On Obs #3: I agree mostly with what you say about Copa's touristy feel, however, if by raw and unpolished you include fucking on dirty mattresses and stuff, you can count me out.

On Obs #4: 1500 br or higher for LT does seem high to me even if that is the going rate at a particular venue. This is one of the reasons I prefer ST. Plus most of the time I prefer to do 2 girls separately than the same girl twice or three times a night. But that is totally my preference. Anyone else is perfectly free to do it their way.

On Obs #5: Yes, I am sure you are right about the benefits of knowing the local lingo. But I am really bad on learning languages plus I am super lazy, so I am stuck with Google translate and miming body language. I still manage to get by and have plenty of good times with my Brazilian girls, because I am in good shape physically, have good hygiene, I know how to relate and be friendly to my girls, and I carry around a fat wallet. KKK. That's my ace in the hole. But, I am pretty sure I am paying a language fee for my deficiency. Oh well, that's life.

It's based on research data. The virus still exist but don't replicate. I read about it last year. You should be able to google it to find out. Same way the PCR Ct value is determined.

Unfortunately there is some fools that give into igh prices. This one reason so many girls are charging $100 min for anything. It was not to long ago that you could get a BJ for $40.

$1500 BRL = $269.93 USD no way is that worth all night. Who is overpaying this crazy amount?? Sheez. I could see $500 BRL for all night (plus or minus $100BRL) any more than that is not justifiable.

It would be interesting to know the answer to your question. It seems like everybody here is just guessing. When somebody is going to do a check in at the airport, and wants to show he's recovered from covid-19, the check in staff won't just accept any piece of paper signed by a doctor.

Rule number one, everything to do with authorities in Brazil is supposed to be complicated.

Monday Night from Vila Mimosa to Copacabana

I connected with Vagabundo and Chege (another solid wingman) around 20 hrs in Uruguaiana for street food before taking the metro to Sao Cristovao station. Chege and I had our two drinks, then we moved on to the next spot.

We arrived in Dolce Vita around 01 hrs. After paying a $r50 cover, we entered to discover the place was totally empty. Probably a combination of it being a Monday night and also the huge crowd watching the football game at Mabs. We didn't even stay for 5 minutes before leaving and going back to Mabs for some street action.

Upon arriving at Mabs, I noticed a slim morena crossing the street. So I approached and asked for her details. She's Raphaela, 28 yrs, no kids. Her prices were $r500 for short term and $r1000 for all night. I declined.

At that point, it was clear to both Chege and me that the night was over. We had hunted from VM to Copa, gathered some great intel, and were able to compare and contrast the two.

    • No significant difference in physical beauty between the high-quality girls I saw in VM and the high-quality I saw in Copa. Sure they dress differently. Girls in VM typically wear bikinis and flip flops, while girls in Copa wear skirts, blouses, and high heels. But in terms of physical beauty, you can find some absolute stunners in VM, and some average (at best) girls in the Copa clubs. It's also worth noting that I like dark-skin and natural (no silicone, light/no make-up, girl next door) which are more prevalent in Centro and VM.
    • Copa's sex game has a tourist feel. The doormen, bouncers, servers, bar tenders, and some garotas speak English. In Casablanca, the TVs on the walls were blasting hip hop, and the vibe felt very much like an American night club. On the other hand, VM is unpolished, raw, and local.
    • Many tourists in Copa are paying top price. At Mabs we saw lots of Americans, and I quickly understood why girls requested $r1500 for all night. It's because many tourists are paying it. The sex economy can become distorted in favor of the girls when too many gringos overpay for services. This is another benefit of going off the beaten tourist path. You will receive a better value for your money.
    • Portuguese skills are important no matter where you go. It's been said again and again, learn basic Portuguese and your interactions will be more enjoyable. Even in Zona Sul. Learn to introduce yourself, to count, to ask questions about her age, number of kids, and birthplace. And learn to understand her responses. Language improves communication, which builds comfort with the girls, which results in a better overall experience.

    Mabs

They had a full house 11 pm watching Rams beat down Cards. Talent was a mess. Looked like the LA CA stroll. Pure sausage fest. Quality was way down from 2 years ago. A lot of the patrons thought they were hard cause they were 4 deep and wearing cheap outfits. Tons of people on beach but I took a very short Uber ride for safety.

    CDC 5 day isolation

For better or worse, The CDC shorten its isolation period for COVID positive people to 5 days if you meet certain criteria. Here is the full guideline. You can travel on day 6 but recommended to wait until after 10 days. You will need a letter From a healthcare professional stating that your isolation period ended or you are safe to travel.

Shouldn't be hard if a certain period has passed (10 days?) and you're showing no symptoms.

I tested negative last Monday in Rio, on the same day I traveled back home. On Friday I tested positive (totally asymptomatic). It made me wonder if I would have got stuck in Rio if I had tested positive earlier?
Yes, you would. Symptoms don't matter, the reason this virus is so dangerous is that it starts spreading before symptoms even appear (or even if they never do).

If you have had a positive viral test on a sample taken during the past 90 days, and you have met the criteria to end isolation, you may travel instead with your positive viral test results and a signed letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official that states you have been cleared for travel. The positive test result and letter together are referred to as “documentation of recovery.

You'd need to check your country's specific requirements though.

I had belladonna for two months. She stopped working. I was happy, but there was no end in sight to the expectations of me paying which I could do. I mean, she expected a laptop for Christmas which I never got her but she kept asking for even to the point I told her it was arriving this week, which she will never get now, on top of paying $2000 reais for Christmas gifts and food for like a family of 8, which was fun, and it's only $400 USD and I am making $100 k annually remotely from a stateside salary so it is nothing, but it was clear that it was always going to be more, like $30 k reais for a car, etc, etc..
