You are talking about a PCR test that takes over 24 hours. You only need an antigen test which takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Has anybody managed to use Apple Pay in Brazil? I tried to use it few times without success, then I gave up.

It worked for me in Sao Paulo in several bakeries. I used cards most of the times due to mask. I don't recall that it not working or problem.

When I first got here 2 months ago I got 7. 7 to a at the gambio, exchange rate was 7. 5. But since then it has gradually been dropping I got 7. 5 and 7. 4 last week. But you need to shop around, most were offering 7. 2 throughout.

The official exchange rate was 7. 38 yesterday.

I got 7. 33 using my starling bank debit card.

I got 7. 1 using an ATM, no other fees using bradesco bank.

I would recommend using a card as much as possible, the rate is reasonable and everyone pays by card here for everything. It can be a pain getting change from a 100 note in bars, supermarkets etc.

A couple of weeks ago, Kinnoplex located in Catete, and Leblon Kinnople as well, were asking for proof of vaccination before entering theatre. Gyms also asking for proof before signing up for membership. So be alert.

I was asked for my vax card upon entry of the Starbucks in cinelandia today. Showed him a pic on my phone of my card and was granted access to the store.

Thanks, that's the site I normally use to check the rate. My friend went to Brazil a few years ago and he said he remembered the rate for exchanging cash over there to be quite a bit lower than the one on that site. Just checking if that's true.
