Remember, Texas is mostly desert and Florida is half swamp land with cities located several hours apart. The proportion of people living in sparsely populated rural areas is greater than in Germany where cities are only an hour or two car ride away with suburbs connecting the entire space between cities. That's not the case when you have hundreds of miles of rural land between Houston and Austin or Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

You mistook when telling 1 year ago vaccine would stop virus, when highest ever new cases peak right now in Germany and France, with many hospitalizations and too many deaths for my fingers and much more than before March 2020 . Just real figures. More than 2000 known daily deaths in US since beginning of the year. More than 300 daily in UK. But you are right, Omicron is just sweet killer. Yes, old, fat and weak are the most at risk when I would have preferred not to vaccine, but had to buy my freedom, even with booster and in few months we will be told once again because only efficient for next day when you are sick from injection. Medical don't know anything about this virus, just following, when Omicron still kill many and not finished with so many new cases and vaccine short efficiency.

Pretty sure the vaccine did exactly what it was supposed to do for those who actually took it, protect the people and reduce transmission.

True Omicron deaths are likely higher than the cases where there is an exclusive respiratory cause of death but lower than the actual number of deaths reported.

Proportionately to prior variants, not many are dying or even hospitalized for respiratory disease. But how many of the hospitalized with "incidental" covid findings might be suffering from an exacerbation of their chronic conditions caused by covid's non-respiratory, systemic effects will forever be unknown.

Studies and news changes day by day and goes in all direction depending on how you want to measure the data. What matters is to inoculate you with a 5th dosage by summer.

Why? I have natural immunity with a recent Omicron infection which was rendered ridiculously mild due to being previously boosted. No need for vaccines unless a more virulent strain pops up.

What matters is being a rational person that makes evidence-based decisions.

France is basically that guy who was a complete LEGEND in high school and is still doing rather well to this day, but you still get the sense hes kind of coasting on past achievements. In this case high school was sometime around 1805.
