Okay, I get it now! The "work tax free" question that Mimic86 asked, was referring to your bulletin point #2.

I assumed (perhaps wrongly so), that the point of this visa, was to win-over, recruit and more importantly KEEP "butts in Brazil" or foreign nationalist with "boots-on-the-ground" (for lack of a better term), spending tons of money in their local economies. Spending for their domestic living arrangements and ONLY pay local taxes (if any), related to things like housing, and transportation. Basically take advantage and benefit from this worldwide "nomadic" virtual workplace trend. But perhaps NOT!

I did read on some more and in the "Background" section, under "Remote work visa warning", it warns that tax law implications may exit but states, "In countries where remote work is unregulated...". Again I assume the purpose of this Nomad Visa is to regulate such work activities in Brazil.

Anyway, what can say, is that it's early days (visa began on Jan 24th, 2022) and will watch for clarification, in the days to come.

I think last year there was a big issue with an America female who was deported from Bali, Indonesia. She was on Instagram daily, bragging about what an amazing lifestyle she had in Bali while working remotely from her laptop. When the authorities caught wind, they deported her for not paying taxes. She was complaining that they kicked her out of the country because she was a lesbian.

And that shit was hilarious. Internet attention has made it impossible for some people to keep their mouths shut. She could have still been there the same way Cuba Dave could have still been in Costa Rica had they just kept it on the low.

Not sure, what taxes are you referring to w/r to "work tax free"? Wouldn't that be a tax function of your home residing country?

The minimum requirement of just USD$18K , in you bank account, in order to work from/stay a year in Brazil, is very enticing, indeed.

Also the visa is "...renewable for the same period if the applicant continues to meet eligibility criteria (including a clean criminal record)."

Must have been on or a week after her 18th birthday that she contacted me. There was no whatsapp then so maybe it was email or yahoo messenger or something. So I was 36 then. Now I am not advocating you start trolling for Minors in Brasil but this was just an example of their viewpoint on age gaps. If you are 50, you shouldn't have too much problem picking up a mid 20 year old female for a relationship. I know a number of mid 30's brasilerias who had 60-70 year old boyfriends and husbands. For the women its more about security and financial stability then it is about your age.

(doesn't mean she won't be out getting some young dick on the side, but you will probably be out fucking around too!

I actually agree with VB's plan of action for getting girls IF you are staying long term in the city. I don't think it is a way for people who are visiting for a short amount of time. Now if they plan on coming back and forth, then they need to decide what works for them.

I am doing the same thing here in my town. I frequent a strip club for their cheap drink specials and get the numbers for the girls or waitresses who might show interest for P4 P. I don't go often but whenever the mood strikes since they are open in the afternoon and I have the freedom to go. Have had some hits and more misses but that is the game. I have a car, know what time the club opens, know the specials, know which girls are cool to sit with and have a drink and which aren't. Why? Becuase I live here. That is why. Would I recommend this approach to a person who comes for the weekend? Hell no. It is not a feasible thing to do.
