Nomad Visa and work related taxes?

Okay, I get it now! The "work tax free" question that Mimic86 asked, was referring to your bulletin point #2.

I assumed (perhaps wrongly so), that the point of this visa, was to win-over, recruit and more importantly KEEP "butts in Brazil" or foreign nationalist with "boots-on-the-ground" (for lack of a better term), spending tons of money in their local economies. Spending for their domestic living arrangements and ONLY pay local taxes (if any), related to things like housing, and transportation. Basically take advantage and benefit from this worldwide "nomadic" virtual workplace trend. But perhaps NOT!

I did read on some more and in the "Background" section, under "Remote work visa warning", it warns that tax law implications may exit but states, "In countries where remote work is unregulated...". Again I assume the purpose of this Nomad Visa is to regulate such work activities in Brazil.

Anyway, what can say, is that it's early days (visa began on Jan 24th, 2022) and will watch for clarification, in the days to come.

And that shit was hilarious. Internet attention has made it impossible for some people to keep their mouths shut. She could have still been there the same way Cuba Dave could have still been in Costa Rica had they just kept it on the low.

    The million-dollar question

Not sure, what taxes are you referring to w/r to "work tax free"? Wouldn't that be a tax function of your home residing country?

The minimum requirement of just USD$18K , in you bank account, in order to work from/stay a year in Brazil, is very enticing, indeed.

Also the visa is "...renewable for the same period if the applicant continues to meet eligibility criteria (including a clean criminal record)."

    Cash to carry

I know answer could vary a lot but typically how much cash folks carry for like 10 days trip to Brazil.

    VISA requirement for US citizens

My quick search tells me that, US citizens does not require any kind of visa to visit and stay in Brazil for 10 days. Can someone confirm? (apart from ANVISA that I need to do no prior than 24 hours of boarding).

    Pick one

If you had to pick between Tinder and SA which one would you focus your time on in Brazil. When I was in Medellin I had about 40 likes but only 1 match. Which means I was only attracted to 1 girl that was interested in me. The other 39 I left swiped on. I'm hoping for better results in RIO.

I am 18 years older than my ex-girlfriend in Cali, Colombia. I met her on Cupid when she was 16. I told her no thanks. She said her parents would not mind. I said I was not going to jail for her or her parents and to contact me when she turns 18. .
That was a smart decision you made. My current Brasilian girlfriend in 19 years younger than me. Nobody bats an eye when we go out.

Uau. . Who she dates, Arab sheiks? That much pays for unlimited sex with my girlfriend in the Philippines, who looks like a bikini model, for more than three months. That includes a nice 2 bedroom place for her and her mother, utilities, Internet and groceries. And she says thank you a million times.

    BTW, Rio field report forthcoming.

Must have been on or a week after her 18th birthday that she contacted me. There was no whatsapp then so maybe it was email or yahoo messenger or something. So I was 36 then. I started going down to see her in Cali and her parents would always insist that I stay at the house. Of course I was sleeping on the couch though and we had to go to motels for intimacy. We reconnected in Bogota last April, 13 years, a separation, and 2 kids later.

    Age gap in Brazil

I'm about 50 now, so it's something I have to deal with now and never worried about before. We know in the US it's considered sleezy for a older guy to be with a 21 yo much less 18. I would get shit from other guys in the US for being attracted to 21 yo. It's like they are either lying to me or themselves about being attracted to younger legal to drink women. If I had to guess, Brazil has the most acceptance for large age gaps. What are you guys opinions and any good stories about seeing older guys in public with younger women.
IMHO Brazil has the least issue with age gap when it comes to dating. I was at a friend's house a few years ago and we were going thru her photo album. After a few pages I asked.

ME; "Was that your Uncle at your birthday party?

Her: She nonchalantly said "No, that was my boyfriend".

Me: I laughed and said "No, the older guy who is hugging you, It looks like your sweet 16 birthday party. ".

Her: She turned back a couple of pages and said "That was my boyfriend".

Me: I asked "How old was he?

    Her "32 years old, Why?

Me: "How the FUCK did your parents allow you to date a 32 year old man when you were only 16? WTF?

Her; She started laughing and said "They would rather I date him because I was safer with a 32 year old men than a teenager who might place me a in a dangerous situation or get me pregnant! Plus he was a Cop!

Me: "Are you fucking serious. You were dating a COP when you were only 16? Wait a second. If he was with you at your 16th birthday party, that means you were dating him when you were only 15!

Her: "Yeah, I met him when I was 14 and then we started dating when I was 15. What's the big deal, its normal in Brasil".

Now I am not advocating you start trolling for Minors in Brasil but this was just an example of their viewpoint on age gaps. If you are 50, you shouldn't have too much problem picking up a mid 20 year old female for a relationship. I know a number of mid 30's brasilerias who had 60-70 year old boyfriends and husbands. For the women its more about security and financial stability then it is about your age.

(doesn't mean she won't be out getting some young dick on the side, but you will probably be out fucking around too!

I actually agree with VB's plan of action for getting girls IF you are staying long term in the city. I don't think it is a way for people who are visiting for a short amount of time. Now if they plan on coming back and forth, then they need to decide what works for them.

I am doing the same thing here in my town. I frequent a strip club for their cheap drink specials and get the numbers for the girls or waitresses who might show interest for P4 P. I don't go often but whenever the mood strikes since they are open in the afternoon and I have the freedom to go. Have had some hits and more misses but that is the game. I have a car, know what time the club opens, know the specials, know which girls are cool to sit with and have a drink and which aren't. Why? Becuase I live here. That is why. Would I recommend this approach to a person who comes for the weekend? Hell no. It is not a feasible thing to do.

Anyways. The strip club has opened a "champagne" room and I have been getting hit up by the girls to go to the room. Here is what made my jaw hit the floor — 30 mins is $500 with a bottle and the girl and an hour is $900 with no guarantee of sex. The girls asked for an hour and I told her that for $900, I can get a girl in Brazil for close to a week and have sex as many times as I want. She wasn't happy with my answer and walked away pissed🤣.
