That was the old rule and now unmarried man and woman can safely stay in the hotel together. You are not breaking any law. Registering a girls or any guest staying in the hotel is for your safety and it is mandatory hotel policy. If you want to take her without registering is your choice. There are many hotels like Marquis or Meridien at airport with large lobby where you can sneak your girl in. I did it many times with my girlfriends whom I don't want to register to protect her privacy. Hotels in Dubai have became more liberal.

You can probably say this 1,000 times and people will still be asking which hotel is green and red. That concept is now gone. These days if a hotel tries to limit your unregistered guests its probably because they want to run a family friendly property, that's all.

Therefore registration of a girl under my hotel room no is definitely not a good idea since I do not want to leave the evidence of having broken this crazy law and probably getting in the best case a record in the files of the LE or in the worst case getting prosecuted. Appreciate the insight. Registering the girl is a standard protocol therefore it doesn't classify the hotel as red. If they force a joiner fee then its a yellow. Red is where they refuse the girl going up to the room and they make up a bullshit reason for it.

Not really, it's not a problem unless you make it one. , In fact the not so girl friendly hotels are the minority not the other way around. And most of them won't even turn you down they'll just apply a joiner fee for the WG and that's it. Once you go around the city you'll realize that this concern is way blown out of proportion.

In Booking.com they have Refundable and Non refundable options. The second option is slightly expensive but gives you flexibility to cancel it at last moment. If you are regularly booking through them they will not charge even if you have missed the deadline to cancel. You pay only when you check-in by credit card or cash.

From what I can recall, booking.com has a 'pay later' option (you pay once you physically check in at the hotel), which is what I always use in case a cancellation is required.

Mmm I did few searches but no luck. What keyword should I be looking at? Only normal hotels in Dubai popped up.

My hotel is somehow not green in terms of guest, so I was wondering if around Moscow are there short term hotels for a 2-3 hours period?

In case of girl pick up, I could also check if in Moscow they have a room but it's hit or miss. Plus I guess more expensive than a 2-3 hours temp accommodation.

Stayed there last week and have to say they are definitely not a green hotel. Each night from 8 PM onwards they have had a guard posted near the elevator and chasing unregistered girls to sign in

Yes, that is correct. It's an Australian debit card (Commonwealth Bank of AUS). You get 2 accounts, a savings account and a current account. The debit card is linked to the current account, and I move funds between the two. I guess it's possible since it's a debit card and not a CC. The good thing is that booking.com don't block the amount while booking, you just need an active card, that's why it's possible.

Have they charged your credit card yet? I usually book with a debit card, and if I find myself in such a situation, I remove the funds from it and then booking.com can't do shit even if you don't show up, etc. They will just send you an email asking what happened, why you didn't show up. Try signature hotel in Al Barsha.

One evening to my surprise some elderly Russian working girls were giving me the eye at the Sheraton Chelsea Arms Pub. How this fits together with the hotel policies I don't know.

I just booked 7 nights in Grand Heights Hotel, only to notice later that, in booking.com questions section, the staff mentioned that only close relatives may visit the room after showing ID. My booking is non-refundable so I guess I am fucked then? I could try to sneak the girl in the elevator at the same time as me, or hope that the elevator doesn't open with room card and have the girl enter after me.
