    Holiday Inn Express, Soi Buakhao

Stayed here one night. It is within walking distance to Soi Boomerang or Soi Diana, or just hop on the baht bus.

Liked everything about this place, considering the price. Breakfast included, and pretty decent. Underground parking garage, which was handy for my driver (Nams Taxi), so she could just wait in the lobby for me.

Didn't spend much time there, so don't have alot to say, but I recommend this place for a quick stay. I prefer other hotel or condo for longer stay.

    Chains seem girl-friendly

I got a bit tired of sifting through all the hotels listed on sites for girl-friendly hotels, and cross-referencing various things such as distance to beach, noise levels etc on TripA. So I just checked out a Mercure and it serves the basic purpose of this visit. In the TA Q&A sections several questions are typically asked about the girl-friendliness of hotels, and it seems the chains are too, though they don't get a mention on the girl-friendly hotel sites I've read. I chose this mainly for my budget. If one reads through some of the popular monger hotel reviews on TA or Booking, there is often a deal-breaker such as noise, air-con problems, strange smells or similar.

Last night, I had a lady over to my condo for drinks. She has a new Farang husband, and my rule is I don't do ladies with Farang boyfriends or husbands. So, no hanky panky. After drinks, we went to Area 39 in TreeTown, where she invited 4 ladies, plus her Thai boyfriend, and I paid for a bottle of Sangsom, and a huge beer dispenser. 3 of the ladies were described as her daughters, quite lovely.

The drill is that I can her to come back to my condo for drinks in the future, and she can bring one of the ladies, again, no hanky panky. But then I can have the lady come alone, at a later date, as a barfine. A great recruiting system for me.

Oh, if you were wondering if I fuck ladies with Thai husbands, yeah, they all have Thai husbands unless they are gay or really old.

I don't know how Mr. Bugzy defines a "large" swimming pool, but the Diana Estate complex has a two nice pools. You'll find that complex on the east side of Soi Buakao, across the street from Tree Town.

The booking agent for the investor-owned condos in the Diana Estate complex is Khun Meow. Here is her web site:

    Condos / residences

Thanks for reply mate, your on spot as I want to enjoy lap swimming rather than sunbathing. 25 m up is all welcome and with regards to budget lets say in the region of 1500 Thai baht daily. All other requirements are pretty normal. Nice modern apartment with possible views. I'm not doing any cooking or laundry so I don't mind about cutlery, washing machines or things.

How many meters is large for you?

There are View Talay 1,2,5, 7 all in Jomtien which do rent furnished condos, generally for 30 days minimum, but some do it by the day as well. That is the route I have taken for my next trip, I got my rental thru [URL]Dancewatchers.com[ / URL]- see their web site.

Pre-Covid I stayed a little more than a month at the Centara Azure about a 2 minute walk to the LK Metro Alley. I had girls over and it was not a problem. They did not collect an ID for the guest. One side appeared to be a hotel (towards Buakhaow 15) with the rest being condos.

Rooms are small but very livable. Mine was service twice a week and overlooked the pool which was nice.

This Airbnb posting will give you an idea of the rooms.

Also it has been mentioned a couple posts below the Grand Avenue Residence condominium is also guest friendly. Seems to be a similar layout to the Centra.

Sunshine Hotel and Residence, Soi 8

    Thanks in advance.
    Anyuta,

If you check on the hotel's website, in the booking section there's an option to "view availability chart". It would appear that only Economy Single, Standard, and Superior are open for booking between now and October. It is highly unlikely that the Deluxe, Sunshine and Seaview are fully booked for all these dates.

Either the hotel hasn't opened up the higher floors yet or, more of a potential red flag, they are refurbishing those floors with the resultant potential for disturbance to the rest of the hotel.

On a side issue, the last report I saw on Beech Road Soi 8 (and Soi 7) was back in March and Sir Lancelot said not a lot was happening there - obviously that was a few weeks ago and I admit I haven't wandered down them to check since but whenever I've passed by on Beech Road even the bars on Beech Road itself (places like Lovely Corner, Poppy 2 and the complex with 6 or so bars on the other corner of Soi 8) have been very quiet. You might want to reconsider your location.

Any others who have encountered a similar need, I'd appreciate your input as to how the process works.

    Many thanks.
Currently, the USA Only requires an Antigen Test I believe within 72 hours of arrival, you can go to the Embassy website and obtain the exact language.

There are places like Bangkok Pattaya Hospital on Sukhumvit currently charging 1090 baht for results and paperwork in two hours? I believe one can also obtain one at Pattaya Memorial on 2nd Road I've not known the cost. I recently got a lead on a lab near Jomtien website that said to test for 490 baht with proper paperwork one should also check with your airline and any stopovers for requirements?

Cape Dara Resort in Naklua. A great place for a romantic getaway, if you want to take a girl out of the bar. The hot tub is about the right size for fun.

It's still alive. I just made a booking a few days ago. But take note that they are no longer going to North Pattaya even when it's selectable. If you're going to Pattaya, choose the stop "jomtien bus station" instead. It's about 10 min car ride to central Pattaya from there.
