This is great advice no matter where you are, even the US. Find a restaurant or store nearby and use that for Uber / Lyft etc. Get picked up for the ride home the same way. All over the world you will get charged extra if the taxi is taking you to a mongering experience.

I've been meaning to return to PV, but never seemed to get around to going back. Thus; I was on a mission! Just like the good old days. My last trip was in 2016.

Flight:

I flew Volaris round trip from Tijuana. I had no idea what the trip cost because I had to rebook the trip twice and each time the price was higher.

Note: I flew there and back only using my passport card. Passport book was not required!

I used the CBX from Otay to the Tijuana airport and back; I highly recommend CBX. CBX round trip was 31 bucks. CBX has grown a lot in the last two years; so many damn cars. But it did not seem like there were a lot of travelers. This time I filled out and printed the FMM before hand and that worked out well.

I recently found out the VIP lounge at the airport has its own entrance and security. So once you get in the terminal, you will see a sign showing the entrance, and then you head up the escalator to the lounge's security check-point. If you use the lounge, there is no need to go through a regular security check-point; good stuff!

Taxi to hotel and back to the airport: From the airport, I paid at the taxi booth 380; WTF? Back to the airport from the hotel, my taxi driver, Javier, took me and I paid 300 plus a nice tip.

Getting around town:

While I was in the taxi heading to my hotel, I chatted with the driver and told him I needed a ride to Sayulita the next day. Well, he had a brother that drives for Uber. He called him and gave me the phone and we set up the trip for the next day. The drive up to Sayulita was $35 bucks, and it was the same returning to PV.

I used Uber several times during my stay and had zero issues. On Friday night, I decided to walk from Taboo to Paradise because it seemed like a short walk; after 25-30 minutes of walking on crappy sidewalks, I gave the fuck up!

That's when I met my favorite driver, Javier. We agreed on an hourly rate and off we went. He found Paradise a lot quicker than I ever could. I rode with Javier for two nights and he dropped me off at the airport the last day. He is highly recommended and I have his number if anyone needs his service. FYI, he speaks very little English.

Communication:

I have the North American T-Mobile plan, so calls, texts, and the using internet were included. I communicated with hookers, restaurants, and drivers; either with regular texts, calls, or using WhatsApp.

Hotel:

I stayed at a boutique beach front hotel. I paid around $400 for three nights. It was a very nice hotel with a rooftop pool, restaurant (sandwiches and snacks), bar, and spa services. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I did have only one mix up with the dude that brought my suitcase to the room, but it was kind of my fault because I got lost in translation. I told him I needed some bottled water, as in tall bottles of water. But he started speaking in "meters" and that fucked me all up! It turned out he returned to my room with a butt-load of water on his shoulder; it was around 2 gallons. Another lesson learned.

I did not know if the place was "Girl friendly" or not. But I did bring in two different girls on two different evenings. But with each girl, I got them in the hotel very discreetly. I told the girls to text me when they were close to the hotel and I would come out to meet them. The girls were smart and did not dress like hookers. One wore a nice dress and the other wore jeans with a nice blouse. I walked by the manager with each one and he just said, "Hola."

Restaurants:

No Way Jose. Outstanding chow! It's now called OK Jose.

Sonora Grill. Outstanding chow!

Meno's Place. Great place for lunch!

El Carboncita. Great fucking tacos!

Street tacos. In Old Town, even greater tacos!

Rico Mac Tacos. Late night dining; food was decent.

"When you get into a taxi and ask the driver to take you to a place with girls, you'll get led to one of these places and the taxi driver will receive up to a 400 peso commission and you'll end up with an empty wallet! If you have to go in a taxi, either make it clear that they are not receiving a commission (and tell the doorman that with the taxi driver present so there is no misunderstanding) and they won't charge you the cover charge. These expensive clubs survive by paying the taxi drivers to bring them a continuing supply of new clients. They need this since most don't come back after finding out how expensive they really are. This leads to a real problem since, when you get into a taxi and ask to go to one of our recommended inexpensive places, the taxi driver will tell that they are closed, that it's dangerous there or some other story. The real truth is, that he isn't going to make any money taking you there and since his average daily wage is 500 pesos, the 400 + peso commission is a big score for him. Be aware of this and if the taxi driver tells you that he won't take you to where you want to go, get out and try another taxi!

It is also best to pay drink by drink since there is a chance that if you drink a lot and run a tab, it will be inflated. Ask to pay immediately after you receive your drink and make sure they bring back change. They are also notorious for just not bringing back your change!

In each club, I asked several questions and did my best to write the answers on my trusty note pad. Thus, if I am wrong with any of my notes, feel free to correct me. Because I drank various things in the clubs, I just wrote down the price of the cheapest beer. The fichas were various prices; I am quoting the lowest ficha price.

The first three clubs are in the Zona Roja. It is a small compound on a dead end road called Privada Politecnico Nacional. These clubs seem to cater to the locals. When I was there in 2016 and last week, I did not see any foreigners in the compound. A few girls from other clubs said the area was dangerous, but I never felt uncomfortable during my two visits.

Club: La 10 (formerly Vizzio).

Cover charge: None.

Beer: 53.

Ficha cost: 235.

Sex with one of the girls: 3000 for 30 (2000 for the girl, 1000 for the room.).

Sex on site: Yes.

Number of Chicas: 24.

More comments: I went back to Mamitas on Saturday night around midnight and looked for the hottie I passed up on Thursday; no such luck. So I sat in a half-ass booth and checked out the other working girls. All of a sudden a real hottie jumped in my booth and then, she jumped in my lap. She was a dark skin beauty! Street girls: Two areas.

First area: 9/ Saturday.

Calle Guatemala, especially on the corner with Bolivia. There were also girls on Guatemala from Calle Peru to Calle Ecuador. Between Bolivia and Ecuador you will find Bar Terraza; the place seemed like street girl central. The girls there, 6-8, all seemed unionized and all were asking 800 for 30. I found 2 other girls on the same street that were asking 600 for 30. There were three bars in the same area, besides Terraza, there were Reja and Botana. All three were blasting loud music and dead at the same time.

Finally, I met this happy-go-lucky gal and she asked for 500 for 1 hour; how could anyone pass up on that great deal? Once in the room, I was mesmerized by the incredible thecor! Just pinche beautiful! I quickly asked if we could turn off the light because I did not want to be distracted by the thecor. It was a decent session.

When I left, one of the other residents was outside holding up the wall OR vice versa. She called me over so I just had to talk to her! She said she gives the best blowjob on these streets. And her motto was, "No leche, no paga!" Hell, I stood there for a few minutes just pondering my next move; but I decided to get back in the taxi and we headed out looking for more bars / clubs / street girls.

Second area: 8:30/ Saturday.

Romantic Zona: A street walker area in front of Hotel Enerdira, calle Naranjo. It was a challenge just to find the hotel and when we did; no girls in sight. I also read about two local bars in the area, Ballena Azul and Por K No. Either I could not find them or they closed up shop.

That was about the extent of my trip.

I did not go to:

Any historic sites.

Any ruins.

Any churches.

The Malecon.

Any statues.

Any massage places.

It was nothing more than a seeking chicas trip, which included some great food!

Bottom line: PV is a great place to visit. It has a great mix of people and lots of great food! Would I ever return to PV? Hell yeah! But I still have many places left to explore in Mexico. Should you go. Another Hell Yeah!

I will say, there is one agency in town that has always delivered in a good way for me. Chicas ranging from 18-25, always into everything I've requested. Man at the check in desk asked me for the name of the 2nd person for check in. I told him I didn't know her name yet and it might be different each day. He said "I understand, no worries amigo. He showed me around the hotel and to my room. I tipped him 100 pesos.

I went there a few years ago. Not sure it's still working.

It's on the East side of the coastal road going North from downtown, a few miles North of the cruise terminal and airport. There was a run down sign of a bull ring on the right hand side of the road. Right before that sign is a dirt road going East. About half a mile in you would see a walled in compound with a dirt parking lot in the center and about 10 bars surrounding the lot, backing against the wall.

I found then about 5 or 6 bars were operating with different themes, one sports bars, one traditional can can ect. I went there a couple times, both day and night times. At night that area was pretty dark, no street lights, no taxis. The bars had girls, some in sports clothes, some in can can dresses. I was able to negotiate sessions for about $60 in the girls' rooms behind the bars or next to them.

Ask taxi drivers for La Zona Roja or Zona Tolerancia. They would know.
