Only Korean nationals and Thais seem to be wearing masks outdoors. I will put on a mask in a Starbucks, 7-11, or Bolt but not other than that. Restaurants, bars, clubs in Pattaya are largely mask free aside from the aforementioned Korean nationals. A few GoGo bars on Walking Street with Indian customers also seem to be wearing masks.

At times I make myself the same question but in terms of laidback lifestyle, food, culture and quite beaches its still worth it for me, lets face it a legit masage for 300 baht is a fine example. Then if one looks at the sex, nightlife, girls and booze package on a daily basis, no its no longer value for money. Basically its paradise for expats or retired mongerers but for guys like me who afford only 3 weeks off from my job a trip to Thailand is getting more expensive and you start questioning the real value for money. In my country for an equivalent of 3500 baht you get a full blown hour of sex with a latina. Not to mention the availability of other east european girls. Asian massage shops are mushrooming too but don't offer FS. So, when you add the flight and accomodation bills to all spending money like food, drinks and chicks, you start thinking again. I understand that many guys look for more than just short time here in Thailand and they feel glorious having a lady accompany them at cinema, for dinner or even for a walk at Central or Royal garden plaza but please don't come up with this GF bull. It's all in the art of the negotiation. ST / LT prices will be higher from the go-gos; always have been. Stick to the girls at the open air bars; much more fun (IMHO).

LK Metro does not have the touristy riff-raff that WS does; that's what makes it so nice. I say it's a buyers market at the many bars that have 10-15 girls and no customers.

This is the valid point:

There is a certain contingent here who are "making it rain" ringing the bell and spending big creating an expectation in the girls (especially the hot ones) that they don't need to do anything other than sell Lady Drinks. Everything Pattaya youtube channel goes over this in depth quite well and I can confirm on the ground. Several Soi 6 girls are posting on FB pictures of giant drink bills from bell rings and other assorted "fuckery". One wonders what these guys get out of this other than conspicuous consumption and why this seems to be a specific cultural phenomenon.

However, I haven't seen any Zoomer youtuber in the clubs or bars messing it up for anyone- average monger age here is probably mid to late forties with the bottom range mid 30's and top end maxing out late 60's. Occasionally you see a young hot guy, but no more than 10% fall into this category. If anything your competition is really low- I sat at a restaurant one night trying to imagine the girls perspective and having to have sex with each man that passed by. Fully 65% were completely revolting- out of shape, weird, freakish, or otherwise unfuckable. The top quarter of guys are somewhat fit and normal and non revolting- but that's a small number when you think about how many unpalatable men the average provider will need to open her legs for. Unless you refer to some specific shop, the girl is getting very little off the amount paid to the shop. Hence a 1/200 tip / fee is expected for her (non sexual) services. If you engage in more, then a "tip" is definitely expected and varies with service rendered.
