It lasts for the entire month you choose (June, July or August) and can be used on all public transport but not the flixbus, IC or ICE trains. But for Frankfurt as an example, it will work on the S bahn (subway), trams, buses as well as the RC trains down to Darmstadt and back. If you end up travelling to other cities within Germany you can use the same ticket for that cities public transport for the month you chose. At the DB ticket vending machines you just pick the month you need. As I was there in June I chose the month of June. In July you would need to buy another 9 euro pass and likewise in August. After August the promo ends. A significant saving vs having to buy individual tickets, day passes, etc.

I stayed at the Intercity hotel at Frankfurt hbf main station. Was on the 7th floor. Heard absolutely no noise at all from the station or street below. Might be a good choice for you? Not sure if lower levels may have more street noise??

It's a special deal between June and August to ride (not all) trains for 9 Euro a month. Not valid on long distance trains (ICE, EC, IC).

It was a good hotel and amazing access to the station. I tried the scooters (I used lime scooters), you have to leave them in designated areas, and it was still a pretty good walk to Sharks. Also if you're not familiar with the area it can be difficult to find drop off spots. If you're taking the train use the RMV app / website instead of google maps, google maps will only give directions through Darmstadt hbf and you want to go through Darmstadt noord as it is a much shorter walk.
