I have been here a couple of days now and there are punters around, I've been on Soi 6 and LK. Thailand has only just opened the doors to tourists so it's building up from a very low level. The next six months should continue to improve as tourists come back. The only difficulty is that some will have booked other destinations.

One reason the hotels are not filled is due to expats who live in condos. I have not stayed in a hotel in Pattaya for years, outside of quarantine requirements.

Thailand is a shell of itself from 5 years ago. Soi 6 quality nosedived. Thailand is my fave foreign country but this year I had more fun in PI and I'm ashamed to admit it.
