    booking a domestic flight

I assumed what they wanted was for foreigners to use their European or US website, so I tried the German website. After all, little did it matter where the ticket came from (except the Brazilians might wash their hands of any issue like rescheduling and tell me to direct my enquiry to Germany). But lo and behold, the price for the same ticket on the LATAM German website was three times as high as the Brazilian price. Dual pricing through the back door.

I'll give the cash to the garota and she'll do the bookings at the Brazilian price for us both, but I don't like this as it involves giving her my personal data.
What about just going to the local Airline Ticketing Office (or purchasing ticket in airport upon arrival) or local Travel Agent Office? I just wondered if a CPF is needed at a local Airline Ticket Office or Travel Agent instead of using online to get Brazilian pricing?

I see the garotas de programa aren't the only ones engaging in gringo pricing! Despicable!

To board a flight from Brazil to Dominican Republic you're required a yellow fever card also.

But you're right, the airlines might not tell you until the minute they're denying you check in. And for US citizens, it's not mentioned on the embassy entry / exit requirement page because they assume US is the country of origin. Probably same with Europe too.
Like others have reported, I too know of someone who was denied boarding en route to Colombia from GIG because he was not vaxxed for yellow fever. Wasted plane ticket down the drain!

Does anybody know if there are any other South American countries, like Colombia, that require or "sometimes require" yellow fever certificates when traveling by air from Brazil? Does Argentina require yellow vax? How about Bolivia? I'm thinking of traveling to these countries during my next jaunt down to South America. It would suck to by plane tickets and then be denied boarding because I don't have a yellow fever certificate.

No more Ueber Eats in Brazil

This is a minor setback. I liked to live in an AirBnB in order to order food from time to time.

The food delivery app cornering the market in Brazil is Ifood and it requires a CPF to register. It can be set up with Google Pay but I don't even know if I can use Google pay with my European credit card. Anyway I don't want to find out since I am not using my main Google account on the smartphone I'm moving around with in SP as the risk of the phone being stolen is high.

A warning about cash: money changers are closed not only on Sunday but also on Saturday. The only way to get cash over the week-end is from ATMs (but banks are also closed and I'm reluctant to use them outside banking business hours in case my card remains stuck).

It's not a scam. I booked a flight from Rio to Medellin via Bogota on Avianca and was denied boarding because I didn't have a yellow fever card. You'd think airlines would tell you before hand but sadly no. Buyer beware. You will need to enter Colombia from a different country such as Peru or Mexico or USA.

No competition here. SP is the place to go.

He moved back to Transamerica when it got cold. His room in communidade only had a mattress. I guess you get what you pay for.

The landlord at my ap in Transamerica is increasing rent 10% from 3200 to 3500 (including 5 g WIFI), but it's not a big deal for me. I am looking around at the other condos in Barra, though.

Yesterday I went to Barra First Class. No bus to centro, but a much better gym. Further out in Barra, near Outback steak house.

I also walked around Novo Leblon which is a top shelf condo, pool open from 6 AM to 22 h, judo and jiu jitsu. But really environment is frankly, whites only. Not a mulatta much less black person in sight in the community gym and restaurant. Very secure. Might as well be in Orange County, California or Lucerne, Switzerland. There appear to be buses at Novo Leblon which run even at 20 h30 at night.

The way to go I think is to find a realtor at Remax or other mobiliara realtor.

I will keep posted about these housing options in Barra.

I even flew into Leticia, right on the Amazon river. I have the yellow fever vax but at no time was asked for proof of it.

Airlines don't mention it at all when booking or in the countless emails they send after. Even the US Trav Gov site doesn't mention this. Anyways, if you book a joint country trip life me, plan accordingly. You need to have your Yellow Fever shot done 10 days before you would need to use that card to enter / exit another country with restrictions.
