This week, Low Season hit hard. There is definitely a shortage of customers, although the top places are still crowded. This year, Low Season hit just as the number of ladies coming to Pattaya is rising.

However, the "go with the flow" approach also carries significant downside risk. One could spend thousands of baht in barfines and other hassles in pursuit of only slightly better chances of BBFS compared to simply discussing upfront. As a result, I plan to adopt the following blended strategy going forward:

Scenario 1 - The girl is so hot that I don't care or I'm out of options for the night and am going to take her regardless. My approach = don't ask about BBFS. Just go with the flow and assume she's okay with it until proven otherwise.

Scenario 2 - Includes every other situation including Thai Friendly and those where I have more time or choice. My approach = gain BBFS agreement upfront or move on.

I know this may seem like common sense and overly simplistic, but based on personal experience and some experimentation I now feel confident that this is the optimum strategy for me..

Also the pills were in large containers that did not fit neatly in my luggage. OTO, I see no harm in prophylactic doxycycline other than a reported sensitivity to sun that I have yet to experience. Sorry to the do-gooders that see this a promoting species wide bacterial resistance. I put that in the category of abstractions like global warming that are just beyond what I can care about.

With BBFS, the risk of HIV is there, but I really believe it to be much more significant if you are engaging in receptive anal play (as in from a ladyboy or other man). Penetrative sex of a woman even if with an HIV positive provider is much less risk (although obviously to be avoided with prejudice). Statistically you would need to have sex with thousands of providers and I am nowhere near that number. If you do have sex with 100+ providers, you more than likely will get Chlamydia or gonorrhea, but both of these are easy cures with azithromycin.

Acyclovir does not prevent herpes transmission. It only helps reduce the severity of outbreaks. Also things like Prep or PEP are not to be treated lightly. These things if taken without proper tests can F up your kidneys and liver. As a doctor once told me, with HIV you can survive many years, even decades if you take proper antiretroviral therapy, but if your kidneys are gone, then adios.

Hate to say this, but it is also because of this kind of willy nilly pill popping and abuse of antivirals and antibiotics that there are stuff like super (resistant) gonorrhea. Play it safe folks.

Normally docs will do a full liver and enzyme panel and before prescribing those types of meds plus review all other current medications taken with. But of course on a sex board for med advice, nobody even mentions no alcohol with them either because of the hepatic toxicity. Because it's all about the BBFS. Folks should really save the medicine talk for another place so that they don't kill anybody.

Surely doing this as often as this means you will have been caught out once or twice? Also, does taking these drugs so regularly not play havoc with your system / immunity?

I was in Pattaya for 2 months. BBFS about 15-20 times and never caught an std there. I did have a scare and got the full test (swab and blood tests). Everything came back negative.
