It takes a little bit more than that, but you're essentially correct. It's not difficult for a good looking girl in Colombia to make 5 million cop monthly online.

I had an obvious druggie try to beg money with a sob story about needing a doctor. He was speaking in Spanish, but I'm pretty sure he was a gringo. What sealed my impression is, when I interrupted his story and told him I don't care he got belligerent and started yelling and cursing me in English.

I guess if you want to be homeless, Medellin has a good climate for it.

That depends what kind of Civica card you are talking about

If you just want the card that loads metro (including autobus) rides onto the card, you don't need a passport. One is green, one is gray, I can't remember which one is which. The one you get with your passport also allows you to use the bikes, maybe other perks. For example, you can use a Civica card to make purchases in Exito like a debit card. And I think you can get the basic card at places other than San Antonio, I want to say at any station? But I am not sure about that. I have a green card and a gray card in my possession now, both were given to me by chicas who live here. I can recharge both of them with cash at the machines in the metro stations, if they have the machines. Clear as mud?? Jajajajajaaa. Welcome to Colombia.

I can remember when Parque Lleras was a family place and an upscale Medellin hangout.

    Not a hookerville like now.

Upscale girls began to walk about, selling their wares.

And then more came, but usually upscale types.

Slowly but surely, and now abundantly so, there's every type out there.

To be honest, I miss the days of Parque Lleras as a refuge, to check out and talk with regular girls.

It is what it is though, the ever changing world.
Ha! I remember when you could meet normal girls in Parque Lleras (and I don't mean "semi-pros"). These days a normal Paisa girl wouldn't want to be seen talking to a Gringo in or near Parque Lleras.

Wow you are so cheap. Those prices are too low. Those girls are not going for those prices. If anything you must be using that I am poor tactic like the guy that was just posted begging for food.

FYI: I have never been quoted more than 70 mil there. I did pay 30 mil more once for BBBJ. For tip, they seem to be happy with coins that I gave them.

Not sure what was the the meaning of that but I bumped without changing my pace and saying anything and continued on my way. The street behind the church seemed run down and empty so I decided to turn around and continue to look for supermarket. Found a well stocked Exito and did some shopping, spent like 10 minutes waiting in the queue.
I'm guessing that you walked up to Parque de Bolivar. It's a mixed bag of locals there, mostly harmless, but I'm sure if you flashed some cash or bling, there's a good chance you'd get robbed. There are a couple of casas right there too, a block or two east of the church. I prefer the Exito Junin. There are a couple ATMs in that area there too. It's a nice, safe, shopping area where you won't stand out, something you don't want to do after visiting an ATM.

As you head west down De Greiff, you'll hit Radual No. 3 where there are also a bunch of streetwalkers. It does get a little sketch past there down De Greiff, but it's not too bad during the middle of the day. If you go even further, you'll find the Plaza Minorista, which is a very large food market of sorts, which I personally found interesting.

Jajaja, just kidding. Your reasoning is faulty. If you were willing to pay her $28 where you met her, what she gets or doesn't get at a different venue is irrelevant.

In your case, too much knowledge created an artificial conflict in your own noggin about perceived value. But hey, your call. With what you supposedly knew about her kept you from pulling the trigger because then you would not be able to enjoy yourself. You mind-fucked yourself, which is different from mental masturbation, jajajajaja. If you were saying that you did not believe she was worth $28 under any circumstance, then your behavior would be consistent, but I don't think that's what you meant.

There were not as many girls in general back in those days. Families would still go to Lleras for Sunday dinner. Little by little, the girls started working a stroll between the middle of the park, the bars on the side streets, and of course the Juan Valdez cafe because it was one of a few spots the Manson crew would congregate off the Mansion grounds. It's all good.

I had no idea we were in the company of someone so powerful. So your take on it is that his writings about his experiences as an El Centro Rat proved to be so tempting that he created his own separate demand for people to make specific travel plans to come here? Now that is some persuasive writing. Funny, when I read him I often think how pathetic his life must be, skulking in the shadows and low-balling some of the cheapest putas on the planet. But he seems happy so I generally keep that opinion to myself except when needed to make a point against ridiculousness, such as yours.

What percentage of people who come here to monger do you believe to be regular readers of ISG? Surely, to make the kind of statement you did you must have some sort of data or inside knowledge. Please, by all means, share those insights. And of that percentage, you believe that readership holds Surfer Dude to be the main influencer on this Website? Am I close to correct? BTW, prices have not gone up in the past five years when you correct for inflation and the exchange rate. As far as the decline in quality, some would agree with you, others would say in depends on your personal bias.

Obviously, you have a bone to pick about something to do with what is going on in Medellin for the past five years. I suggest you reassess your targets. Usually when people blame others for their own unhappiness, a good place to start is the hallway mirror, Senile Turtle, jajajaja.

Very good report. I'm sure it will be helpful to many new visitors to Medellin.

Colombia is far more "cash oriented" than you are used to. People were getting money out of the cajeros (ATMs) to pay rent and monthly expenses. It is July 1st afterall.

You were smart to decline the stripper's invitation to take her to your hotel for exactly the right reason. One of villainy's rules. When you're here on vacation, you don't see one girl 10 times you see 10 girls one time. Enjoy yourself. Besides street-walkers, casas and strip clubs you might want to learn to use FB and expand your range of possibilities. Also if you enjoy your visit and plan on doing it again, suck it up and start taking some Spanish classes. It isn't obligatory, but you're staying in El Centro, and a little (actually a lot) Spanish would help on many fronts.

Yeah, Surfer seems to be a good guy, good intentions, tho I have to admit, I was thinking as he was posting so much of Ground Zero.

    Please stop! lol.

Just as another guy is calling for gringos to come to Cali, smh.

I posted a few barbs on be careful what you wish for, but to deaf ears only.

Oh well. I've found a few spots in Brazil tho, that I selfishly keep to myself.

I post about the usual spots, but better to keep some things on the down low. 😉

I think I will get back to posting on the regular, just to make sure that we are in the same Medellin. I come to Medellin damn near every month. I still have my home in Medellin, still have the same girlfriend of 3 years. Any American who is still in the job market and working in the USA in corporate America or working for self who has not made a killing in the last 3 years, must be living on another planet.

The return of pesos for dollars is at an all time high for me, nearly 4,200,000. 00 pesos to every $1000.00. So if you are really financially set or know how to function in Medellin, Medellin is still a gold mind. I can tell you this, I saw a girl recently, that told me that she works in Poblado and the 120 mil I once gave her would no longer work. I said ok, but I damn sure am not paying $300 mil for the same Centro chic I once banged for 50 mil. I left the date open if she wanted to make some extra money, she could come see me, for unrestricted sex without limitations. I would giver her $150 mil for 2 hours. She called me and she came by, I banged her in every position and did everything my mind could think of.

The greatest event of the date that left me speechless was this centro chic had an Iphone 13 pro max. So I have no idea if she robbed someone or she laid down some good sex and one of you unsuspecting guys bought her a $1500 dollar phone, good luck with that. I know what the naysayer will say, its only one girl, I was with nounce recently and VsebudeNY we were all in Centro together at night and there were girls everywhere. I wasn't feeling well that day, but no one was asking outrageous prices. I will always say and continue to repeat. It's all about a monger's comfort zone. If you are not comfortable in Centro and you need a crutch to say that the girls in Poblado are better, do you, no one is going to blame you. But for the kindness of us who love Centro, don't throw dirt on the centro scene because the majority wants to say that centro chics are cheap and dirty. Some of us like cheap dirty chics who do tricks or us at a set rate and charge others more when they go out to Poblado. Pollo Negro is out!
By all means I have nothing against those that monger in centro.

As mongers there's always a different comfort zone for many and for some there is multiple ways of doing things.

My only gripe is the scene at lleras use to be a nice scene and I simply stated it has become Sosua all over again.

But different than Sosua is the fact that now the lleras area has become somewhat a haven for the local criminals.

Even some cops are in on it with some of the girls who drug guys. I know it's a strong statement but it is true.

Have you guys noticed there's a drugging almost every other day in the poblado area or a robbery story.

This is what happens when you bring attention and act like a hot shot and act like you're better than people in another country.

We all enjoy reading reports as this is what this board is for. These forums always existed but reports have always been more toward a "trip report" and not a daily update and daily adventure of mongers banging stories, eating and detail of entire lifestyle of every minutes it seem. So yeah def excessive!

So you're right, excessive daily reports especially during the past pandemic years I noticed bought a whole new set of mongers in the game. It's good and bad. But to be fair to the guy you replied to incl others that did the same, it's not mainly their fault; The issue is mainly w the Youtubers and Social media posters bringing Weekend warriors incl a "Too young" of a generation of you ask me to the game now to MDE and DR at a whole new level. Cameras everywhere, heck I even saw myself recently on a Youtube vid finally after 10 yrs in this hobby, and going forward I will be wearing hats and shades when going out hunting in popular ground zero RLD places LOL.
