Even though I love the small flats like Vecinitas, I'll agree with you. They are the "girl next door", not runway models. In fact, doesn't "vecinitas" mean "next door neighbor"? I personally feel they offer excellent service rather than "decent service" but YMMV. I love the fact that BBBJ / CIM / DFK is all included. To me, that is a real worthwhile experience. Vecinitas is also my favorite. It is a shared flat with young girls. Really one of my favorite mongering venues in the world. If you want a more traditional brothel, look at Perla Negra or La Vie En Rose. If you are on a tight budget, look at the Haima group of brothels.

For example one of the more well known agencies in Barcelona (often recommended on this forum) lies about the sexual health and STD testing of the girls. If you ask the agency you get one answer and if you ask the girls sometimes very different answers. This kind of appalling behaviour sometimes makes me sympathetic to the abolishing arguments. I would Google the Cotton House hotel, and search in that area.

If you have Marriott loyalty points to spend, the Cotton House is a truly fantastic boutique hotel, but too expensive to pay cash for in my opinion.

If you are a walker, 30 minutes in any direction from that hotel will take you just about everywhere in town for sex and sightseeing. The beach is one direction, the Gothic Area another direction. Sagrada Familia another direction, etc.

If not, the metro is easy to use in Barcelona.

Vecinitas is close to the Girona metro station. A hotel in hotel in Gracia or Eixample (closer to city centre) would be in relative walking distance. (These two areas also have nice bars / restaurants).

OKEsc only does outcall so either you can send them to your hotel or book an "apartment-by-the-hours" (see their website for suggestions), It works like this: you tell the manager which one you want and for how long, you arrive and pay in the reception.
