I edited a short FullHD video of a very representative room from a Sao Paulo classy hotel. Lets call it, the battlefield.
It has the original audio from the moment:

Hope it takes you to the place.

Posts: 88SP | Renaissance vs AirBnb
Hi guys,
I have been hearing good hype about Renaissance. Is it worth it? Last time I stayed at San Mercure Ibirapuera and that worked out just fine with half the price of Renaissance.
Also. Just in general, what are the best ways to find cheaper hotel deals for place like Renaissance?
While I am exploring stay options, how about staying at Airbnb near Renaissance and just go to Renaissance for drinks and get the goodies there? Are Airbnb's safe and easy to find GF friendly? Airbnb's are like dirt cheap -- 60 USD per night.

As far as speaking of other non-native languages, I have this problem even in my native Indian language. Living in the USA for 35+ years, I am now considered an outsider whenever I go to India. I know enough of the language to get around but never going to be considered a local no matter how much I brush up on it. Same with Spanish and Portuguese. But I feel that it is the attempt at speaking and trying to blend in that the locals appreciate. I try to communicate in their language as much as possible and sometimes, they will practice their English with me and we communicate in two languages.

Hi EverythingBlue,
Sure, if they are just random pictures of the place and not a portrait, I just say "can I take a picture?" (posso tirar uma foto? If you're going to make a shoot you'll need a talent's release or at least a simple receipt bill with the persons signature and 18+ ID (already verfied by hotel when check in). If you're going to make an entire week of productions, you'll need a contract for sure. Like we do.
It took almost 20 years to speak fluent portuguese. But my personal advice is to hear brazilian news all time, brazilian music in the background and read newspapers (it applies for the languages you're learning). I buy paper newspapers when I'm in Brazil so I can be up with the local news and have conversations with people.
By the way, brazilian polititians and local stars go very often to the clubs mentioned on ISG.

Posts: 43Cafe Photo: Not ready for prime time
Went to Cafe Photo around 9 pm on Wednesday. Definitely more girls than on Saturday, including a few options which looked good. Upon closer inspection, one of the options had a huge butt / thighs which I don't like, the other option was taken by an older guy before I walked in, and the third option didn't quite have the right look in her eyes. Specifically, she didn't know how to make eye contact and generally seemed new to this. That and the crappy live music (much worse than the recorded stuff), and I decided not to risk it and leave.
Which leads me to my conclusions about Cafe Photo. It's a great place with a lot of potential, but a lot of the girls are new and they don't know how to behave properly yet. They don't know how to dress without looking uncomfortable in evening wear, or how to wear colors that don't emphasize the large, unbalanced posteriors common in Brazil. Only a few of the girls, older mostly, know how to make eye contact properly (and likely by extension how to talk with a man). This might be a good place if you're looking to find someone new, a diamond in the rough, but for me I think this place is a visit in a few months to see if it improves.
I went to Scandallo afterwards and was immediately overwhelmed by a different kind of problem, namely too many good options. This is the right kind of problem a place should have. I ended up seeing someone I met last week, having both excellent conversation in my broken Portuguese and a great time in the rooms. We agreed to see each other for lunch on the weekend. If she wasn't there that evening, there were at least 3-5 other decent looking options, a few of which probably wouldn't work out due to irreconcilable differences in personality. Scandallo remains a mostly sure bet (during Tuesday-Thursday).

How do you approach the girls to get all the action on camera? You negotiate each time using google translate? Sometimes I wonder if it's only a North America thing where girls are so camera shy, I haven't faced this in Colombia or Brazil yet.
I can't wait to go back to SP and check if my credit cards work LOL. Just kidding, cash is king dammit!

Pain is so close to pleasure. Like the song of the late Freddy Mercury jajajaja Sometimes o "papai mamae" is kind of boring.
Attached original pics of two of a kind from Brazil.
