There are no tuk tuks operating as their base from Rawai.

Any you will see there have come with customers from Patong, or Karon / Kata.

When in Rawai at night, there are taxis you can use to get back, get a bar to call one for you, or use the ride hailing apps of Grab, InDriver.

As of March, there were tuk tuks in Patong. There were always 1 or 2 near the entrance of my hotel. Business was so bad that we would take a tuk tuk to dinner and the driver would wait out front to give us a ride back to our hotel.

What is holding you back? This is Thailand. The worst that can happen to you is you don't have sex with the girl. In Thailand they are fine if you don't like the look of anyone, you can walk out free, no problem.

I thought it would be too long of a walk to go from Nai Harn to Saiyuan. I'm in good shape so I just started walking and took my time. Earlier in the day I asked TGT what time the sun sets because I was thinking I could do some walking.

When I started at 5:30 ish the sun was out. I walked on the side of the street facing approaching traffic for safety. You're right, there's not much room for pedestrians. I just took my time.

When it got dark, its just as safe if not more in my opinion because you can see cars / scooters easier by their headlights. Of course its more difficult for them to see me. I own 8 motorcycles back home but felt safer walking at night than riding a scooter in Thailand.

I don't mind the long distance walks, but many of the bar areas recommended by TGT look dangerous for pedestrians (narrow streets and no sidewalks). Did you feel safe walking around? I'm worried about getting run over by a car at night.

Yes, Rawai is a spread out place, its basically a triangular circuit, some 10 or so kilometres in length.

TGT offered to meet up and share his knowledge of Rawai. I jumped on that offer and met up for bite and then a tour in his cool car.

Rawai is a different vibe than Patong, which is where I usually stay.

After the tour of Rawai, TGT dropped me at Nai Harn as I had read its one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket. It didn't disappoint. I arrived in mid afternoon so the water was a little choppy.

So I left Nai H by foot and just headed towards Saiyuan. It was a valuable experience because I was exploring at 3 km / hour. You get to see a lot at that pace and you get to engage locals along the way. So many cuties riding by me on the scooters. I was hoping to make eye contact with one and hopefully turn it into something.

Along the way I stopped at a massage shop that TGT recommended. Three girls. One was working. I chose the cute Isaan girl. When she stood up I was a little disappointed at her weight. Thought she was 50 kg but was probably 60.
