You are ascribing to me an argument I didn't use. What I think I said was that the OP to whom I was replying loved posting pro-Russian propaganda so much that he ought to live in Russia. What I believe I didn't say was that living in Russia gives somebody a greater insight into reality.

BTW, 81 million folks from the USA have a very clear understanding of what happened in the 2019 presidential election. 74 million do not.

I've been to Russia a few times and can say its the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.

Good summary, Chris. Yeah, Biden's last stand with Russia was when Putin asked Biden if he was willing to keep Ukraine out of NATO. Biden said no and then Putin went in. Putin had no choice, and Biden wanted war. Why do we even have NATO now?

The irony is these days most wars seem to be about energy. The whole Syria fiasco was about a natural gas pipeline through Syria from Saudi Arabia. It did not even benefit us, but we seemed to be willing to do anything to placate Saudi Arabia or we were until we became energy independent. So why are we there now when we can be supplying Europe natural gas instead of Russia or Saudi Arabia? Because Biden is pro-war, and he wants to hurt American energy companies and hand over Europe's electricity market to the Saudis.

In the mean time, Europe and especially Germany is set to freeze its asses off this winter. Prices are through the roof there, and Europe is going into recession. I wonder how those solar panels will work this winter. Was there any idea more stupid than solar power in Germany?

Thing is I think most Republicans were willing to transition to non-polluting nuclear and near non-polluting natural gas for electricity and away from polluting coal. As long as the change was gradual, I would be all for that.

Before the move to sell LNG and natural gas prices skyrocketed, natural gas powered cars made sense. Hell, even having a second vehicle that is electric for shorter trips can make sense for some people.

But the idea we get all our power from solar and wind is beyond stupid and now we have California banning the sale of all cars that are not electric, and we have to do it to save the planet? Say what? We have had 20 years until the earth for the last 40 years now. Even Elon Musk had to come out and speak in favor of fossil fuels.

You would think we would hold these fucking scientists accountable for being wrong but like with Fauci and lockdowns, they get a pass. Can you imagine how fucked up we would be this winter if we Republicans had not stood up to these blowhards?

Yes, the sensible thing would have been to say that Ukraine wouldn't join NATO, but continue integrating it toward the West. Russia wouldn't have had a casus belli. They hadn't invaded in the 8 years since the 2014 CIA coup so there was no reason they would have without the NATO idiocy.

But under Trump tarriffs the USA government collected billions, China factories got billions less. With the trade war farmers lost business. Trump just made sure that the farmers were not hurt and gave them a small percentage of what he collected.
