I arrive into BKK just before midnight on a Saturday. I only have two days in BKK so want to make the most of I.

I'm contemplating paying for a vip service that will fast track me through immigration. Price is 1200 baht which is the equivalent of a ST session. Wondering how much time it will save me. Are there alot of arrivals at that time?

Also any where I can pick up a sim at that time or am I better of going to 7/11 when I get to Suk 4.

Thanks for your help, I decided to change my flight and arrive 5 days early so will time for lots of fun. My only limit will be my bank account.

Just curious but did you not see that the majority of FL on sukhumvit from soi cowboy to soi nana were ladyboys? I was almost convinced that there were more ladyboys than women on sukhumvit to be had.

Yes it's a bit overwhelming and I agree way more ladyboys than women easy to pick out though. The rain is making it really tough too I don't think the girls like it.

The rain has made it a bit hard and weekends are tough otherwise lots to be found just walk down to soi 6 and back if you don't see any.

I've been in Pattaya where there are hordes of them. They have this weird thing where they get rooms next to one another, leave the doors ajar and loudly keep going from one room to another, a lot of times wearing only towels. I've seen this in multiple hotels now and even overheard them complaining with hotel staff about having to pay for the water kettle because they were putting non-water liquids in it LOL.

That is one of the reasons that I stopped using Ambassador on Soi 6. Had another experience where a freelancer was having an ugly battle with 4 Indian men in the tower wing room 2 doors from mine (hotel security resolved that problem). A friend stopped staying at Burisari in Patong for similar reasons.

When we travel internationally, we all need to respect the customs of our host nations and do our best to respect customs of other tourists. I've heard complaints about westerners too. Shirtless men on street. Women refusing to cover bodies in temples. Man putting feet on table by chair in hotel lobby.

There used to be an ample supply of FLs outside the hotel and the Nana sign. What is the scene like today? Also, I am curious about Kasalong. It used to be a wonderful place and I have many fond memories Thanks for any info.

I went thru last week no line at all (and my bag came out quickly too) so I wouldn't bother.

My flight arrived bkk airport at around 11 pm last Friday and I was out of the airport within 15 min of landing. Got to my hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 by 12 pm checked in and head to Wood Bar for a quick BJ than had time to stop by Nana to grab a girl at the go go before closing time.

So to answer your question I don't think the vip service is needed.

You no longer need to fill out any forms at customs. Just hand your passport over to the immigration officer and on you go.

Short trip report from last week, September 2nd, 5 days.

I like freelancers mainly, as I get bored very quickly with the Go-Go formula and I haven't advanced to the online scene.

Avoided jet-lag for a week in Bangkok by staying on home time (CET): get up at midday, relax in the afternoon, dine at midnight, monger until 6 am.

Honey, they are sex workers, they are happy to take your money for whatever you want to do, its literally their job. If you really want to make a home video, let them know beforehand and negotiate a rate. It won't be that much. Many people take pictures, or short videos, if you want to do a full video or whatever just say so.

There have only been a few girls at the sign for the past week-10 days. Well below the normal amount. We have had a lot of rain at night which might be a factor. There are still plenty of freelancers in the area.

I get in around the same time in early August and flew right through. Don't pay extra for BS services.

So. There is no Super Rich Exchange at BKK airport as previously reported. Thanks for the exercise. And if there was, the rates would be very similar to the other exchanges. It's a monopoly there and the rates are shitty 34.35 to 1 USD. No 30,000 baht ATM machines either like Krungsi or TMB. It's Kasikorn or bust. Just swapped out enough to get me out of that horrible airport. The Tourist SIMs are expensive, so I waited until I arrived in Pattaya to get one from 7-11. They will not sell you the same SIMs that are much cheaper in plans at the airport, even though it's the same company. Data only unlimited at 20 MBps for 200 baht monthly at 7-11. I bought a virtual Thai number for 99 baht a year, so all I need is data. And by the way, I'm the type that shouldn't be traveling internationally (according to some) because I can't afford to pay 1200-1500 for a private taxi or car to take me to Pattaya. Instead I only paid 350 (2 checked in luggage and 2 carry on) for bus to door step service. You can tell by the pics that it is very low class bus and ghetto. About 25% full. Left at 5:07 pm and arrived at my hotel near WS at 7:10. Saved me 1000 baht by taking the bus for a TF girl instead last night.

BTW there is no more forms to fill out at airport and nobody asks about vaccination status or paperwork at BKK. I even asked the immigration officer if it was okay to do border runs after my tourist visa expires and with extensions. She said no problem. Total time at BKK from landing to luggage was 45 minutes on a weekday late afternoon. 1 down 299 to go.
