Guys,

Why'all act really high and mighty, but folks in this thread are no better than the new influx of tourists. We see you with your rent-a-chicas at night in Centro or Bocagrande. You're paying huge prices just like them because you don't speak Spanish. In fact, you all are probably worse because you're there often enough to know better.

Can we please stop recording other tourists? It's a ridiculous invasion of privacy. No one here would like it if someone set up shop outside of Space or LDV and caught you all bringing those slatterns you love out. Let's have some common decency.

Most of the ones who set up shop and record the girls are the same loud mouths that always want attention. It's why I avoid walking by Delirium where they like to stand across the street and record, through the clocktower they like to stand by the hotel and record, or Playa Hollywood by Kiosk#4 where they like to live stream. Many of them already had their YouTube channels deleted so now they are on their second or third channels under the disguise of calling it a travel channel but always mention the "extra footage" they cut out is behind a paywall on Patreon. Certain channels like Kurt Caz, Ace Live, or Life with David focus more on what foreigners can do in the country besides mongering and those are the channels I watch to see what I can do next time I visit.

Thank you Nypher, but it's not that; it was a long you tube video from a traveler; you can't recognize anybody; its more about light and shadows, on the typical windows of clock tower.

Its on youtube, a vloger from Holland I think.

Hi I saw a YouTube Vid some days ago and I think I 've seen the link on ISG, it was on Clock Tower and the YouTube guy was filming a window in Clock Tower where a girl was seeing fucking! I the like to see it again bu I've lost the link! Anyone knows this vid? I think it was maybe from a Vloger from Holland! The rest of the video was showing nightlife in Carthagena! Thanks.

The ones in JFK kills me every time. Straight loud mouths with "all eyes on me" attention seeking syndrome. I'm starting to think allot of them have hearing problems because the whole terminal can hear their conversations and they won't shut up.

It's quite entertaining to watch but get annoying when I have to constantly tell locals that I am not with them.

THe hotel I am referring to is called: Eurostars Marqus de Villalta. I am not certain how this post got cropped, but I would appreciate advice.

My company's travel office tells me that the Ermita is located in an area that is too dangerous to walk at night. I guess the route is populated by prostitutes and other unsavory people! Does anyone agree that it is too dangerous to walk from the Ermita to the Clock Tower? (of course, I could always travel by taxi!

If this is the hotel located 1 block north of Space and Dolce you will have way more prostitutes and unsavory people outside along your route than Ermita. What I can suggest is to tell you company you will take responsibility for your own safety with a hotel of your choice, put that shit in writing if you have to, because if they put you steps away from the 3 main clubs and you see what goes by there every night for 2 weeks and cannot bring any of them in to enjoy yourself it will be maddening getting short time hotels everytime.

We can give new travelers the heads up what not to do because what will happen, but chances are they will do it anyway and be shocked of the outcome jajaja.

That video shows one of the reasons why I stopped traveling in large groups years ago and enjoy solo travel or group of 3 max because the bigger the group the more chances there will be 1 that will do something stupid messing it up for everyone else.

Great video. . what a circus. He missed the part where the beach guys fight over who is going to rent them chairs. I will try to be friendly and talk to people. I really feel sorry for the guys.

My confusion was that Marriott owns the Ermita hotel, and I found it hard to wrap my head around the idea that the Marriott would be GF when so many other hotels were not. Now I understand.

I stayed 4 nights at Ermita hotel couple in May and I have posted a report on that. To answer your specific questions.

1. No. When guests come they are asked to fill a form and sign. Do not know what it said because it was in Spanish. Even getting two girls in is no problem.

2. Answered above.

3. No fee.

Although it says Marriott, this is a small hotel. There is a beach across the hotel. Also I went and watched fishermen catch fish from the beach. They were catching big fish and selling. They were cleaning and cutting the fish and lots of people lining up to buy.

From there you see the wall. Short walk to the centro and the clock tower. I went for massage every day at centro. Can walk to the bars as well but I found girls on the street. Taxi is cheap also. There is a small store within 50 yards where you can buy water, drinks, food etc. They have small places which sell snacks along the beach street like arrepas..

I will be heading to same hotel in 2 weeks, thanks for info!

This may be covered by RTFF, but I went back 6 months and could not find it. I apologize but I just learned yesterday that I have no hotel room in Cartegena, and I am supposed to leave for there (for work) in 10 days.

Basically, I see that the Ermita is guest friendly, albeit a bit pricey (but this is covered by my work). I assume this is the Marriott chain Ermita. Correct?

Can someone tell me how GF this hotel actually is?

1. Do I have to register my guests?

2. Can I bring more than one chica to my room for the night?

3. Is there a fee for the girls?

From the airport if you are going to take taxi tell them Ermita hotel, Carrera. Not Marriott, in fact there is no Marriott sign outside.

Since I am a valued Marriott member they gave me a nice room on the ground floor. Breakfast for two is included. Adequate with lots of choices and tropical fruits. I took a taxi to many places to sightsee, restaurants. Just went to couple of clubs but did not like it.
