I plan to stay at least 10 days at tana. Hotel sole, Shanghai hotel are full so I will go to Relais Normand even if I got a big problem in 2019. (steal of my cash) but this hotel is in the center, cheap and the room are big.

I Will check Manson LE Glacier, taxi be. And as Neddy I will stroll along during the day.

After I plan to check in an hotel with a swimming pool like flots bleu if the weather permitted.

I already went to hotel Carlton 1 day but it is too expensive but the inside swimming pool is beautiful.

After I will go tulear or morondava or majunga, tamatave.

I am looking for a cheap hotel with a clean swimming pool? Any advice,?

I will be in tana in this time too. Just for some days and then travel to tulear. I don't have a recommendation. Its my first trip to madagascar and expect similar environment to uganda.

Got in a couple of days back. Still no fan of Tana and waiting to get out. Fuck of a time getting over the jetlag from Canada. Will post a longer blurb on first impressions later when I get into a place with decent wifi. Staying in Shanghai for the first time and it's OK except for the absolute shit internet. Still better than Canada! Better go before I lose this.

I'm days away of returning to Isle Rouge. I personally like Tana. I spent 3 weeks there in 2018. There's 2 Tanas. I love haute ville. Isoraka and further up towards the rova. Now it's spring. The Bougainville will be in full bloom. Yes down in the belly of Tana it's different. That's the polluted traffic jammed Tana with beggars money changers and Street walkers. Fine with me as I'm not a beach addict. I love to explore on foot. And so much pussy from the whole country. Plus good restaurants and patisserie. The only drawback is transport. It is how it is. Still I consider Tana much better than say Kampala. And you can't avoid it entirely as you always have to transit through it. Especially if you traverse Madagascar on Taxi Brousse. Traditionally I stay in Tana a week for warm up. Then I consider my options. East to Tamatave West to Morondava or Mahajanga. South to Antsirabe Fianar or Tulear. I occasionally fly but only to the North I. E. Diego or NB. Internet. I can't be bothered with so called free wi-fi. The first thing I get is a Telma 4 G bundle plus orange telephone credit. Enjoy.

In the two and half year break I spent a lot of time trolling on FB for girls, and amassed a collection of possibilities. This depends on you. Antananarivo could be interesting for city travellers. So many old cars, old taxis (where else you can see this? Only Cuba probably) horrible traffic, chaos, pollution, danger at night.

Nosy be is great for sea and beach lovers. How long time will you have in total?

That shouldn't be an issue. After I pulled from the ATM I just asked bni bank next to relais normand hotel to change the fresh 20 k notes to 5 and 2 k notes. Costs nothing. Waited maybe 10 minutes. If you only need a few small bills can always just go shoprite, restaurants or places which have change and always pay with the biggest 20 k bill so youll always have change.

I think the game changer is also the new 20.000 Ariary note. Before there was only the 10.000 Ariary note. Now the ATM dispenses 20 k notes most of times. So. What you do? 40 k is sometimes not enough. So it'll be 60 k. I had several times problems with change. No 10 k notes. I'll be landing shortly on Isle Rouge the first time since 2019 too. Let's see how it goes.
