I have done this 4 times already, once on a Sunday. No luck needed, just proper planning. Anyway, my backup plan (that was not needed as it turned out) was that if the S2 was late on the way there, I would just go all the way to Diet Bahnhof, and do the long walk. On the way back, if the S2 was late, I would just have to wait longer; but in this case I would have to wait longer anyway even if I started from the Bahnhof.
