Now add what the clientele was spending daily in there in food and booze and you will have some serious figures coming in daily.
That makes some sense on how it could work but I don't see why someone won't spend the money to do it. When I was there it was middle of the day and a weekday so maybe not the best time to judge but I can't see how it could have made that much money or all of the girls could pay their rent. Not sure I'm just sad. I want it to open again.

It was a good thing while it lasted

In the the last years the money was simple not going were it was supposed to because of a bad administration, a lot of theft, which led to a lot of debts, and then as a perfect storm came covid.

For sale only main building with bar, main stage, restaurant and barracks to the left of the main entrance. Or maybe the authorities on the island in the future will open a new legal place for prostitution somewhere in a remote part of the island. A mini Campo.

I don't think so. Campo is right next to the airport. Property values next to a runway are usually low. I know the volume of planes taking off is low-ish compared to other airports but I think Campo is the only place we will ever see a legal brothel in Curacao. Happy to say I had four good trips there before it closed. Good memories. Most of my contacts from that time are still pursuing their career in other parts of the Caribbean but I don't think it compares to Campo in terms of price and selection. I don't know though, I haven't been mongering in other parts of Caribbean. If I am wrong, someone please tell me and I will start planning a trip!

I feel sad that I never got to visit Campo

For years, a decade at least, I would think about Campo ever since I read about it. I remember one time I was in Amsterdam enjoying the window girls, at a time when the prices were still somewhat ok, I walked into a bar to have a beer, and talked to the bartender about the scene and because she's Dutch, and I'm in the Netherlands, she's heard of Campo or at the very least Curacao, and she said to me, sure check it out. And for years I kept saying to myself, one day. One day I'll do it, it's not like it's going anywhere. Campo is practically an institution there. Place has been open for like 70 years. And then the lockdowns happened. I hear ya fellas, the world of hobbying has changed a lot. I wrote a bunch about that in the Prague rants section since I tend to hang out there. Like many of you I've travelled a decent amount to gain access to our hobby. That being said, I just got back from a month long trip to Bangkok, the old standby, and I got to say, when all else fails, there's always Thailand. I chose Thailand mainly because at the time it was one of the few places in the world without any travel restrictions. Check out my reports in the Bangkok section, I'm up to day 9 I think. Like you guys, I hope someone buys Campo, sets it up again. I'm old. Very old, hopefully I have just enough years left that when and if Campo gets back up and running, I'll still be around to visit. My mongering career has centered around mainly Europe and Asia. Campo was supposed to be my gateway to South American / Latin American / Caribbean mongering.

Probably not but they are using the name erotic massage which is massage. A couple of weeks ago they there was a big news on the island. A call intake at the police station was running a massage / sex business on the site and the info leaked to the press / newspaper. She was put on temporary leave while the police is investigating.

The quality of the girls arriving on the island that are advertising on websites is also very low. Mostly old girls, fat, and staying very long on the island. Most use old pictures or fake pictures. The prettiest ones are not returning back on the island.

Man it just makes me so mad that covid happened for many reasons but closing campo after it's been open 60-70 years 3 months after I find it is such a bummer. Is there anything else like it? I know Germany and europe have some decent places. But campo was just awesome.

I have been to Campo every January since 2010 except this year when there was an epidemic of chicungunya (a virus spread by mosquitoes). It was a tropical paradise.

    Thanks for the pointers.

WorldTravel69. Can't find your Curacao map.

Guess I better do some seeking and put up some recent info after I get back.

Did find a map from 2017 off the wiki sex guide will wander. It directs peeps to Punda and North of the Kuranda Holanda hotel. Street fare I guess.

Anyone else with pointers appreciate the help.
