Bone Marrow / Tuetano Tacos
Does anyone know anything closer to Zona Norte? I like Xolo Tacos near the airport but curious if there is anything near the mongering action.

The purple striped La Linea bus goes by that area. You can catch it by 4th & Constitucion or 2nd street. It then goes to the border. Not sure the route it takes from the border however?

That is likely the same food court. But you can't miss this place you can see it anywhere in San ysidro or Zona Norte just look up in the sky for the tallest building. It will say new city medical. Its a few towers together and go and ask for the food dinning court. It's semi outside I guess you could say there's a ceiling but one wall is open. It's the nicest place I've eaten in Tijuana besides wine country in Ensenada. You can take the bus there from revolucion street if you know how to navigate the buses.

No, you do not need to live their. The prices for what I've been ordering are less than revolucion so I was getting burritos for $8 dollars and chips with guac for $5 The parking garage was only 2 dollars. I've been. A few times and the staff is polite, on par with usa restaurant compared to revolucion restaurants / hotels which can't hide their distain for gringos sometimes. And Yes it is built like a embassy, one entrance from what I remember for the housing section. I waited for a friend one day 1 hour outside watching the fancy cars pull in. You can be a politician, musician, businessman, drug dealer, they all want the new city safety. My 1st weed smoking experience was 5 yrs ago, a girl I met was a house cleaner, of a famous drug lords family. The weed they didn't want she would take home to smoke. She was just messed up and loco enough to be able to handle that job and enjoy their company. They were very good to her sent her home with a lot of food too.

It does look like a really nice place but I just wanted to throw it out there to anybody who's thinking of going. Expect to pay 80-100+ usd round trip if you take a taxi or uber down there from Tijuana. Also getting a uber back from portales to Tijuana might not be easy.
I drive my own car to Mexico. If you decide to go then you can take the free road which takes longer and more traffic or the toll road to expedite your trip. I prefer the toll road which is like 40 peso every toll booth. I think you hit 2 or 3 toll booths, but memory isn't good since I haven't been to Rosarito and Ensenada in a while. Lots to explore in Baja. I would give Valle Guadalupe a pass unless you or your chica likes vino. It is overpriced and places close early.

You should try Encanto or LOS Portales in Rosarito. They usually have live music, good food, and good mixed drinks. Good place to take your favorite chica or best buds, but preferably chica or chicas.

Shit I don't know and was wondering the same thing while waiting in the sentri line. They got a 12 foot wall surrounding the entire block with limited gate entrance. Slightly resembles our fortress embassy in Iraq.

Not at all but prices are much closer to San Diego. That goes for everything in that building. It will be the first place to follow SD in everything. Especially pricing. Found a two bedroom there for $2,300 but I turned it down. You know that rent will go up into the 2,600 range then up from there. However I do plan on using their medical facilities when I need a doctor. The hospital / lab should be opening soon.

My Mexican dentist recommended the same New City food court. He said it was really affordable pricing for the quality of food provided. I got to give it a try.

Yeah, I learned a bit more about the taxi ruta routes the last time I was in Tijuana a couple months ago. Found out how to take the red taxi ruta for 10 pesos (75 cents) from Revolucion down Agua Caliente to the main Caliente casino, which is a nice area where the main soccer stadium and a bunch of nice restaurants / shops are located. So I guess no more Uber / Didi down there for me LOL. You can get pretty much anywhere you want in Tijuana for cheap through those taxi rutas if you know what you're doing.

You must not get out much. There are maybe 100 places in Tijuana to eat that are light years better than the nicest food court.

Across the street is Deja Vu club, Escobar swingers club, and Aqua Caliente Casino. You could probably walk from the border to the New City building complex. Many nice upscale places to eat throughout Tijuana. For sushi try Odayaka or steak can try El Grill. El Grill is like USA Prices and great service. Slacking on reviews, but ton of places I've been throughout the town. Todo Santos has good ceviche and some bars on same street. It just depends how far you want to venture around the city.
