2 EXCELLENT reports and I've taken the liberty to add them to the ROD's. No doubt a forlorn hope that people might read there first, but hope does spring eternal.

Hey, his FIRST trip to Thailand, and watching too many Ytube videos, reading here, and visiting only the adult entertainment scene, easy to think that any Thai female can't wait to jump into your arms, totally overcome by your farangness. Actually, Thai culture is VERY conservative and proper, AND they are NOT stupid. That wai that you see, that takes YEARS of knowing how to do (my advice, don't as you won't know how. Who goes first, how high, how long, etc.). You might not see any Thai Smiles on the street these days, especially Bangkok, as everyone is wearing masks, but learn some words of Thai, be nice and polite, smile, and it comes back to you in spades. But it doesn't happen overnight.

Well, Timmie, you got me stumped for sure as I have no idea what 5 squids, 2 squids, are. Myself, tonight I had 7 or 8 squids, but I call them calamari, along with about 15 shrimp, all fried in batter, all spicy with those little red chilis, home cooked meal via some civilian Thai friends. They know I can eat spicy, so it was. Even a salad and they didn't have any trouble opening the container, but we can use sharp objects. So your squid comments went zoom over my head, and if you care to elaborate, feel free (and searching didn't turn up any clarifications, I did try). If not, I'll live.

It doesn't, but today I had to walk at 15:00 to pick up some ice cream to take for desert, and with a breeze, I wasn't drenched. The shop puts a few pieces of dry ice in each foil bag, so it remains frozen until you get back to your frig. What IS really jarring is the Christmas carols everywhere in the heat.

What an absolutely unbelievable outburst by you.

    You are wrong, wrong, wrong.

So now, you triggered at least a response.

If that was your intention, so be it.

I put 1000 baht on each. A month later, when I leave, my BTS will probably have 100 baht left, the MRT 700. No worries, I never try to get money back, just use the next trip. WORST case, the cards expire and you have to pay another 100 baht for a new one, BUT any unused balance from the old IS transferred to the new. DEFINITELY beats having to stand in line for the ticket machines or to get change at the office every time you travel. Just swipe in, travel, swipe out. Taxis are cheap, daytime, start at 35 baht (dead as dodos are the unmetered taxis, all metered for decades), and most have their air conditioning working. But taxis are subject to traffic congestion, while the BTS / MRT are not. I walk, but if tired take a taxi to the BTS station for onward travel..
I have to get there, been on my mind for way too long and your input helps a great deal. I have a feeling the night warmth adds to the ambiance of the scene. I'd walk a mile for a camel (toe).

Will be doing Business in Soi 7. Hotel that is. Very economical rates.

Actually went to take a look at the girls outside Wood Bar. Not to partake as I don't go to those type of places. Just to see which posters are credible in girl assessment. Hahaha.

Goat seems to have Won the Prize. Not an attractive bunch at all. Has to be below 5 on the ratings scale by maybe 3.5.

Nana and Asoke Area BJ Bars

Part 2 of my Bangkok BJ Bar tour report.

I focused for the past two weeks on spending some time in the BJ bars around Nana.

Although I've not been inside the bars there recently, I walk down Soi 8 at least weekly and the two BJ bars that are adjacent to Soi 8 do have half-decent lineups, with Kasalong appearing to have better talent overall. If you've not visited, walk down Soi 8 away from Sukhumvit and take your second right (at the 7-Eleven). Lolita's is on the left and after you've squeezed through the walkway to the adjacent soi after Lolita's you'll find Kasalong, also on your left. If you don't see anyone you like, it's a good idea to go grab a beer on Soi 4 (just keep walking straight after Kasalong and you'll bump into Soi 4) and return 30 40 minutes later for another look. Mid-late afternoon is a good time to go, if you're in the area. I saw a decent looking one about a week ago at Kasalong as I was passing by. Alas, on my way back she was nowhere to be found.

Soi 7/1 has been hopping and, in my view, is a real hidden gem in the lower Sukhumvit area. Easy to miss if you're not familiar with it since the soi curves away from Sukhumvit, making it difficult to see very far down. If you do venture down it you'll find multiple beer bars, several beer bar / massage shop hybrid businesses, and Wood Bar, which is deeper (heh) in the soi on the right. I'd always avaoided this place, pre-Covid, as I thought it was mainly a place for tourists, although I didn't find that to be true when I visited. The name Wood Bar is really something of a misnomer as this place is very much not about drinking / sitting around / chatting. It's all business, and despite the decent lineup (in my view, it's the best lineup of the Nana-area BJ bars) it's a bit too transactional for me.

After you walk in, they'll line up the girls for you and you pick. Then, you pay and head right upstairs. There's no foreplay, no drinking, no groping, no warm up downstairs. And don't even think about hanging out in the bar. That's what I didn't like about it. Mamasan agreed to sell me a beer only after I assured her I would take a girl and I ended up drinking the beer in the room. I prefer a more laid-back vibe, like Soi 6 in Pattaya, where you can sit and drink with the girl for a while. The "squeeze test" is what I call it and it's a fun way to relax, get to know your provider, and get warmed up. So, if you're at all like me then do your warm-up lap at one of the beer bars on Soi 7/1 , and then go take care of business at Wood Bar. (I will likely follow my own advice in that regard for my next visit).

Out of the way a bit is Duangporn's Haven. To get there, take the BTS to Asoke Station (or just walk from Nana) and then head for Exit #4. At the bottom of the stairs, don't cross the intersection. Instead, take an immediate right onto Thanon Ratchadapisek (that's the big road that intersects with Sukhumvit Road at the Asoke interchange). Walk straight on Thanon Ratchadapisek and take your second right (at the cannabis dispensary). Duangporn's Haven will be straight ahead on your right about 50 m down the soi. It's off the beaten track a bit and you would never know that it was there unless you were looking for it. Ladies will be congregated outside and Duangporn uses a queue system, similar to a massage shop, so the girl who gets up to lead you in is number 1 in the queue. Now, you can pick your girl, of course, you don't have to go with the queue girl, but remember to do this before you go inside. If you go inside with the queue girl, buy her a drink, chat with her etc. But then don't take her then she will lose her spot in the queue. If you take another girl upon entry then number 1 in the queue retains her position for the next guy. It's a strange system, for sure, at a bar like this. I've used a queue girl before, when I didn't have a strong preference, but I think I will just stop and pick the one (s) I want during future visits.

Inside, there's a bar, some couches, and even a pool table. If you want to play, the girls are very accommodating. I usually start at the bar, migrate to a couch, and then go upstairs but you can just grab your girl and go directly upstairs, if that's your thing. They have the usual BJ rooms with a sink or you can get the full-service room, which is old but surprisingly nice with a decent bathroom, shower, and bed. Overall, I like this place for its laid-back vibe and friendly staff but I would note that the lineup is likely stronger at the other Nana-area BJ bars.

TLDR: Lolita's and Kasalong both conveniently located near Nana BTS just adjacent to Soi 8; YMMV with both, but for my money Kasalong has the better lineup at present; Wood Bar on Soi 7/1 has a decent lineup and nice facilities but it's highly transactional approach, with a view towards operational efficiency, may be a turnoff for some; Duangporn's Haven has a laid-back vibe with friendly staff, no pressure, and nice amenities, but be mindful of their queue systemjust pick the one you want or take a pass.

Got to finish up a few end-of-year initiatives in the office over the next few weeks. Then, I'll be heading to Pattaya after Christmas and expect to have some good field reports. See you on The Six!

Also, short trousers, NO SOCKS, bare-foot in cheap plastic open shoes or sandals you can buy anywhere.

The BTS is unfortunately much too cold to be healthy after the outdoor heat. Why is it kept so chilly? My hunch is because they want the smells given off by people not to be noticeable, an instance of Thai saving face.
A clothing tip for people who don't do well in the SE-Asian heat, give Merino Wool t-shirts a go.

Wool is a natural moisture wicking material, which means it absorbs your sweat and it dries very quickly once you reach a cold, dry environment like an air-conditioned place. The natural roughness of wool fibre also prevents bacteria, which is the cause of odours, from growing, keeping you smelling fresh after a day in the sun. They also have the added bonus of being wrikle-free, so the girls won't think you're a slob even if you can't be bothered to fold your clothes.

As Nyezhov says, stay hydrated. Water, they have Gatorade and Perrier here, and I find a nam-a-now soda (it's lime (they say lemon but it IS lime) squash with soda water) VERY refreshing. Not sweet, tangy.

Given I walk a lot in the daytime, so my fitbit says, I'm wondering if I can write this trip off as medical expenses on my taxes. Just following my doctor's orders to get out and exercise. But I will say that NOT all the huffing and puffing comes from walking .... You'll be fine, traffic stops for pedestrians in crosswalks, and there are places to sit along the way.

But I will say yesterday and today, in the afternoon, a bit less humidity and a breeze. A world of difference. Talking today with a Thai civilian, he said things should start to improve. Certainly hope so. But still having thundershowers.

Well hell, you certainly showed her. I bet her heart is broken (the old "broken heart, broken heart" refrain). It must really irk her that you're there gawking at other women while she's making money. hahaha
    Think I figured it out.

Recently a Star from Rainbow 4 moved over to Rainbow 5. This Star likes getting 5 Squids about once a month from me. I'm ok with it, liked it better when she was on stage pre COVID Topless. Haha,

Mook thinks WTF why am I giving her more? Am I all of a sudden Chopped Liver? Resulting cold shoulder treatment. Mook gets 2 squids per.

Difference being Mook gets compensated way more than once a month. I'm not ok with compensating the ex Rain 4 girl more than once a month.

    Bargirl Dynamics.

P.S. The are. 4 girl makes huge money but she gets antsy when she Feels it's that time of the month.

So yes girls do think about nice gentlemanly gentlemen who appreciate them.

Definition of appreciatio- Show Me the Money. LOL.

Coming Face to Face with Harsh Reality - Overextended.

    Pre-OP

Monday, dentist finished. Messaged my Sakura Akasuri masseuse but she was unavailble, so booked Friday, and passed due to Tuesday's appointment. Tuesday it was Tulip. Wednesday, I was mentally incapacitated (I. E. I had gotten my brains f*cked out.) Thursday it was Paradise 4 hand massage. Friday, Sakura Akasuri, which I probably should have passed on, but it's just too enjoyable. Saturday was my fav watering hole and the GFE.

Sunday, major ops. Out to Chatachak on the MRT (DON'T get off at Chatachak Park, but it's the NEXT station, Kamphaeng Phet that puts you right on the edge of the market, in the most interesting section, 26). Looking for my favorite shop, of course, had lost the business card. But a grid search (the market is a grid) resulted in success. Then on for another fav. Here, no luck, a LOT of back and forth. But luck WAS with me as I walked back to 26. Passing a shop, recognized the merchandise. And, with mask down, owner recognized me; he'd just moved from 8 to 10.

Final target, and an important one: the resupply base, Viva 26 bar. Great bar for refreshments, a cold drink (or 2), some great music, not the usual stuff, but some eclectic tunes. Sadly, KIA, didn't survive. A REAL loss as it's been a mandatory stop for at least a decade.

Fine, no resupply. Back to the MRT, from Chatachak to Si Lom.

Thanks Blue Note (@#@%) for the can't miss directions to Rose. Easily found it. Yes the sign above the door is still there, the door was open, and I could feel the tractor beam rays trying to draw me in. And Zenminded1, you are SO correct about that feeling of peckers being serviced from the past as you walk up the long dark stairway to ... But only distant echos, and I was able to resist.

Given no Viva 26, over to Foodland's Took Lae Dee restaurant for some liquid refreshments. Chatachak has NOT changed, and it's HOT.

    Battle Report

From there, I am very familiar with the path to Meet the World. Only 2 ladies outside, but one was my target. I'd noticed that during my previous cluster suck, she was lubed as I practiced my braille reading. A subsequent visit for oral confirmed the lube. So now the OP was: FS followed by another beer, then a BBBJ. Well, that was the plan. Both ladies followed me inside, one on each side, massaging, but I quickly selected my preference and the other graciously disappeared.

The first part worked out: FS in the curtained chamber (2 other ladies relaxing inside, dislodged, one simply moving to the bench across the aisle) was, for me, 1200 baht, CFS. The bed left a lot to be desired, lumpy and saggy don't do it justice (I thought one area might be an old milking table without the plug). I can confirm the lube (shame to waste a natural lube) was genuine. Great service. However, now came face to face with the harsh reality. I was out of ammo. I mean there was nothing left in the magazine. Don't get old. But I accept reality, had enjoyed myself, so perhaps the double shot fantasy will have to wait for another time. Total damage: 100 baht beer, 150 baht lady drink, 1200 baht service = 1450.

WIR: definitely, both oral and FS, just perhaps not on the same visit.

    Zenminded1

On previous visits, walking along Patpong 1, there was a middle-aged lady with a laminated massage card, saying she had a bar with a lot of ladies. Personally, I give touts a WIDE bearth. I DON'T think it's like the dangerous OLD days with upstairs rip-off bars, especially with the decline of Patpong (will always be grateful to my Nana bar fine guide who pulled me right when a tout turned left instead of straight up the stairs on my FIRST visit). Still, I figure those touts are making money somehow ... YMMV.
