Day 4 Continued.

After smashing out the previous post, I headed out again to continue completing my shopping list. Headed to Platinum Mall. Originally, I had planned to go to the Pratunam Shopping District but after the morning session. Maybe next time. Rather than walk through every floor of the mall, I went directly to the 4th floor where the men's clothes were. It still took me a while and effort to find what I liked. It's definitely pricier than Chatuchak but the quality's good and they had what I wanted.

Feeling peckish, I headed to the food stalls outside and feasted! Ah. Food. One of the main reasons coming here!

Day 5.

Designated no sex day. I had things to do, stuff to buy and food to eat. I quickly packed all my clothes purchases off to the laundry and made a beeline to MBK. Got myself a suitcase, bought a few more souvenirs and had my first fitting for my bespoke tailored suit. Zipped back to the hotel with all my goodies and dumped them on the bed and off I went again. This time to Jodds Fair. Oh Lord! The variety of food there is insane and there's only so much space in my stomach. I found out a while back that after a certain age, my stomach cannot stretch anymore. So rather than have one sit-down meal, I walked around having tidbits and nibbles on skewers. Missed out on so much.

Day 6.

The original plan was to do the touristy thing and check out the temples and Grand Palace but on a whim, I went onto the Sideline Thailand website and took a gamble. It wasn't long when I got a reply. After setting up the appointment, I headed off to the designated location. While I can't say that this session was a total success, it wasn't a total failure as well. The young lady that greeted me at the door was definitely not the young lady on the photo but I kinda expected it. She was definitely pretty. Until she disrobed. Oh. My. Lord. Her figure was stunning. She had the MOST magnificent pair of breasts AND they were NATURAL. No silicone. Soft, bouncy, malleable, squishy. Big, dark, delicious nipples mmmmmmm. While the sex was enjoyable and fun, I can't say that it was memorable (other than her boobs). The primary purpose was to see if Day 4's healing efforts paid off. Yup, full blown erection, hard as a rock, stiff as a post. Downside was, maybe because of my age and fitness level, I have degenerated into a one-shot wonder. Gone are the days of multiple orgasms. Will chalk this day as a good experience anyway.

What's the problem? TwilightZoner was looking for a SPECIFIC experience, real by HIS definition, and one that with his definition, not often reported on. He searched for it, found it, experienced it. Paid for the massage, and when offered extras, opted in as, no doubt, he wanted to experience the FULL package. For some experiences, IMHO, it IS worth the price. Now he KNOWS, and thanks to his ROD-quality FR, now WE ALL do. Not something you might be interested in, not something that I might be interested in, but now there's an ACTUAL FR for those that are thanks to his paying the dues. And YOUR takeaway is fat? Regardless of TwilightZoner's ISG status, he's varsity.

Now others remind me of that 2nd string junior varsity player who'll never make varsity, never gets in the game. So to make himself look big on campus (at least in his own mind), he has to denigrate any and all, making snarky comments ("1000 baht girls", "275 pounds", "little black girl successful on soi 6 not rainbow", etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam. Some "like to challenge" but provide no useful info. That Rainbow 5 is packed is NOT really news, unless there were some details: bar fine price, her asking price, her agreed to price, LT / ST, etc, USEFUL info). (Yea, that search engine is a real b*tch, so easy to detect BS).

No doubt YOUR experience, tolerance does take time to build. Myself, with current fav: 3 weeks, 1 visit each week. 3 years later, like it was simply the 4th week. Of course, rather than gawk, I talk with them.

I'm with you. 2,000 baht in bkk easy on TF and 1,500 baht in Pattaya. The prices mongers are paying at bars is insane.

In Pattaya, average price I paid in bars was around 1800 including one drink for me, one or two for her, price of the room, and her fee, for two hours of fun in total (1 downstairs and 1 hour upstairs).

How is it better to pay 1500 for a girl that never looks like her pics, is always ten pounds heavier and most of the time older than her profile states. I'm not even talking about the body odors she let on your bed sheets, her stinky cheap perfume that stays forever in your room, and her hairs displayed everywhere in the bathroom and on the bed.

Prices are getting out of touch in Bkk.

I've spent a few evenings in the Jungle bar in Nana, opposite to Hooters. A lot of LBs trying their luck there (in the street, in front of the bar), many of them negotiated just in front of me.

Price asked was 1500 and they were not even the best looking ones. Crazy thing is they were being picked up by many guys.

The gap between Pattaya and Bkk is getting huge, next time I'm quite sure I'll spend less time Bkk.

My word, I just can't help but gasp at these prices given the quality I've seen in bars post Covid. It's just nuts. Honestly, I'm paying 2 k average for 90 min 2 shots with far better looking gals online. Of course I totally understand that most visitors want to go out to bars and party. Guess the bars have firmly become pretty much tourist only. I do miss the days when Cowboy was the expat hang out. But 23 years in the past when I moved here was a lifetime ago.

A poster down below at this number in subject line discussed his night out on Suk. Quite an adventure, I must say.

He also mentioned visiting Lusty Lady off Soi 11. I have not been in Bangkok since this bar opened and will be coming to Bangkok for the winter arriving around NYE so what I mention here is word of mouth info. I will also be staying nearby so was pleased to see a report on this bar / club.

I was amused to find that the ladyboy owner approached him to buy a drink there. From what I understand, this Ladyboy owner is older and owns a LB bar on an alleyway behind Soi 10, not Soi 8, as he mentioned. There is a very attractive younger GG there who is also a part owner (from what I have been told) but is not available for take out. Perhaps, has a BF but not sure. I also understand that the GG's there are not all that great looking. And at those prices quoted, it confirms that I will not be finding GG's there. He mentioned the gal quoted him 3 k short time but did not mention the BF on top of that. Too rich for my blood! I read it's a nice looking bar from what I have been told but don't get the philosophy of buying drinks for girls who may or may not available and who want $3 k for ST. Perhaps, that negotiable, it usually is but still there is a BF plus buying drinks for whoever sees a random sucker.

Well, a VERY entertaining set of FR's, reporting on scenes not usually reported on, though I will say some of your adventures were a bit cringe worthy (trusting a tuk-tuk driver to look out for YOUR interests? What could go wrong there?) For me, that's always a "My Pie" (I don't go). But certainly makes a nice set of war stories, so thanks.

It only took one moment of weakness. Even though I stood firm all the days he tried to get me to go with him.

I always prefer to do things my way, rather than how everybody else does it. And that is where I got a lot of joy out.

Got up bright and early and headed of to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Wow, that place is amazing and next level shopping! Spent 3. 5 hours there and some money and still didn't manage to cover a fifth of the place!! My legs were shot and my back was aching so I called it a day and headed back. This challenge isn't done as I still have one more weekend in BKK.

I hit Chatuchak at least once every visit. While the BTS drops you close at Mo Chit, for me, better to take the MRT (I change from BTS to MRT at Asoke). As I've said, DON'T get off at Chatuchak PARK, use the NEXT stop (if coming from Asoke), Kamphaeng Phet. Using this stop, exit #2, you are right at the EDGE of the market, and, for me anyway, the most interesting sections (26, 25, antiques, handicrafts, silk).

I've shopped at Little Wings House, Section 25, 3/2, "room" 217-219 (corner), for over a decade. They sell mounted insects (butterflies, beetles, etc), along with beetles in acrylic (keychains). Good place for some unique souvenirs.

BagBerry, Section 10, 20/3, "room" 076-078, has some nice PVC bags, place mats, etc. Picked up some nice purses for female relatives 3 years ago, said hello, this year.

Other souvenirs I've bought are: molded soap in shape of various fruits (mangosteen, coconuts, mango, papaya, etc) with associated scents, 4 for 100 baht (don't even bother to bargain); facial tissue boxes with silk tops (they are flat to conserve space in the shop and your bag, but expand out to a 3D rectangle to fit the kleenix box); and place mats (bamboo, wood, PVC). I just wander around in sections 8-10.

At least in Nov 2022, there was an NPB (No Problem) T shirt outlet at Section 12, 21/4, corner. There used to be a shop in MBK but didn't get there this year.

A real loss is Viva 26 that was in Section 26, now just space; was a great bar, place to grab a cool drink or two while in the market. Another institution gone.

I do stay AWAY from the live animals section.

Day 4.

The 2 HR session itself cost 4000 B. Was it worth it? For a first timer like me, I'd say yes. However, I'm also withholding judgement until I try what Spring Spa & Massage has to offer. I only found out about it when I had my Thai Massage session there. I doubt they'll offer extras but I just need to compare the experiences.

NICELY reported, a venue that I'm sure will interest some. For me, it's like bargaining in general: you set the price that whatever is worth to you. If you can get it for that price, fine. If not, move on. And a one of, or infrequent repeat? Regardless, now YOU (and we) KNOW. Well done.

One thing you should consider is how you prefer to spend your time when you're AREN'T being a naughty boy. Are you a foodie? A shopper? A museum goer? Wanting to see temples and other cultural sites? Then you'll probably want to tilt toward Bangkok. Or do you prefer to spend your down time with a cold drink close at hand while watching the world pass by in a tiny little bar off the beaten path? Maybe watching the waves roll ashore while lounging in a comfortable beach chair under an umbrella? Or perhaps day drinking with your mates (new or old) in a beer bar or gentleman's club? In that case, Pattaya will probably appeal.

I live in a big city and enjoy the intense vibe very much. But on holiday I prefer to chill out. Pattaya's laid back beach vibe appeals to me, so I always start my holiday there. Wandering around town in my shorts and whiling away the hours doing whatever strikes my fancy just lowers my blood pressure. That said, I eventually get bored. So I transfer my flag to Bangkok at the end of my trip. My personal preference runs toward waifish girls who have not spoiled their looks with cosmetic surgery and/or tattoos, and I find more of those girls in Bangkok. I also enjoy shopping for electronic stuff and always find time to go that in the big malls. Finally, my flight home is a long one and it's nice to be closer to the airport when the time comes to leave.

Very well put. There are other things to do here, depending on your interests. Myself, I'm the opposite, like the big city even if I'm from one, don't care for the beach (two choices, white or RED), do like the mountains.

Aaah, Yep. Why I skip the bars, too many memories of the mid to late 90's (don't worry, my ears still work and I can hear the "Jesus Gramps" ...). Nana, Voodoo, G-Spot, and what was the name of the ground floor bar diagonal to the Nana entrance, the last bar on the right wall? Had a sister bar next door). Lots of attractive bg's; the "all dance", girls had to be careful of not falling off the stage it was so crowded. The music was decent, OK, maybe a little bit too much disco, but I still have Nanase Aikawa's Bye Bye Boy on my playlist, loud enough to mask the conversations at the next tables, but not so loud as to mask the conversation at your table with the girl sitting next to you. Most every bg wanted long time, the more (sequentially) the better. And LT was LT, not counted in hours. Pull one night, the next, have her meet you at your hotel, walk down to the bar, pay the bar fine, and have the whole evening to have her show you around the Thai places, THEN the night's entertainment. Even 12 years ago, Cowboy, Tilac, sit out on the veranda overlooking Cowboy, the evening's entertainment walking past. Then step inside, amazing how the girls without panties could stay hidden even in their miniskirts. Lady drinks weren't expected, they were earned for being entertaining. For me, the whole dynamic has changed; yes, it was business, but not so transactional. Well, times change, but I just can't see sitting in a bar, buying lady drink after lady drink, then a bar fine, then her service charge for a couple of hours, then have her get back to the bar to repeat. For myself, the bars were the means to an end, NOT the end itself.
