For me there is difference. If a guy says, hey, I want to do / did some heli skiiing, then sure, why not, good on you man. It's only a matter of money. You go in a group with experienced mountain guides. If you can't make it down the mountain they know exactly where you are to rescue you. You just get to pay for another heli ride when they rescue you.

But if a guy says that he is better skier than Sylvain Saudan or Candide Thovex then I know the guy is a bullshiter and won't believe anything else he says. Including anything about driving, cycling, running and how amazing he is in all possible things in life.

If you ever climbed only 1 of my legends and you can ask any high level athlete, you would know so much more difficult than running 1610 meters in 5 minutes, but you can 't know, when not even knowing so easy and fast to reach 80 km / h downhill if I didn't brake when no helmet and most often even topless, already having insects crashing on me and painful. How would you know? You are far from a high level athlete, just an untrained almost 60 year old cycloamateur who will never run a 5:00 mile. Nobody is comparing them except you. One is a sub-threshold effort and one is a VO2 max effort. You don't even know what those words mean.
