I made over 40 trips to Sosua in 12 years. In my opinion, it is better to fly into POP and pay a few hundred extra. It's ten minutes away from town and less of a hassle and a safer much shorter trip. I flown into Santiago and Santo Domingo in the past but will never do it again when going to the Sue. The few hundred dollars extra is well worth it.

As a Delta customer, the cheapest flight for me is into Santiago (based out of Salt Lake a Delta hub) so I can not tell you the difference on price between STI and PTO. I used to rent and drive but now that I stay several months at a time I have used Caribe Tours the last several trips. Cost wise from STI to the bus station in Sosua on my last trip is was 700 dop from the airport to the bus station at LOS Jardines, 220 pesos for the bus to Sosua and 300 pesos from the bus station to my hotel / condo in Sosua. That is about $22 at the current rate. The bus leaves every hour from Santiago and will take about 1. 5 hours to get to Sosua. With the bridge out maybe a little longer than that. The first bus leaves at 6:00 AM and the last bus at 7:00 PM takes about 1/2 hour to get to the station at LOS Jardines so if you flight lands after 6:30 PM you would need to factor a hotel room into the overall cost.

Metro Tours looks like it has 2 buses a day at 1:15 PM and 7:15 PM. The advantage is that Metro drops you in Sosua near the hotels and you would not need to use a taxi for the last mile. I assume the bus rates are similar but I have never used Metro Tours.

This is my experience of taking the bus from STI to Sosua others may have a different experience than me. I you do not speak any Spanish there might be a little difficulty with the airport taxi and understanding the buses leaving the station but it is very doable.

This is exactly right, and can be applied across the tropics through LA, Sub-Saharan Africa, and SEA. Outside the tropics is a different story. I'm naturally aggressive, and that style worked well in HS, then girls learned about feminism, and it was like butting heads. To those of you applying US rules to the girls down here, you're just going to be taken for a ride with no respect. Take control right from the start, tell them what you'll pay, don't ask, and you'll have better sessions.

To Turgid, the Haitians are close to what you remember.

Seems more like I got gamed on there. 3000 pesos for a BJ. Damn I would hate to see how much it would cost to fuck her. Sosua has come a long way from the days of chicks gladly accepting 1000 pesos for all night. Who ever thought the day would come when a Dominican hooker not only asked, but could actually get $100 for 1 hour? I bet they are even shocked themselves. It is like a money tree just grew in the middle of Sosua. Looks like I can't afford that place anymore even if I wanted to go.

I think you need to rethink that.

Finally, I met a 20 year old with no english, but cute and tight. She was nervous and naive. We hardly talked, but after a smoothie, she came back to my room without question, but then wouldn't kiss or do anything. I said I could give her money for her school, but she wouldn't budge. She wanted a boyfriend. I can respect that, but I am 30 years older than her, and we can't talk due to language. And I wanted to advise her to NOT go to a guys room if she doesn't plan on at least kissing, as a guy will get mad etc. It was a little naive on her part, I hope she stays safe (treat these girls well guys).

It is game on there, I got the girl to give a BBBJ for 3000 tip. Yes, I overpaid, but it was worth the experience. The 3rd was a place with Dominican girls on the main drag and the parlor is right on the street. There is no HJ there, and I heard the guy in the booth next to me ask for it, and get shot down, funny! On my 2nd trip there, the girl ask me if I wanted a HJ but told me to be quiet as it wasnt allowed. Fun times. But all in all, the parlors are sleezy, dirty, the massages bad, etc. But for 1000 p or 1200 p, it was an ok way to spend an hour.

I didn't make it to the Casino or the Ahnvee as it was Christmas, And I figured they were just to be the same girls off of Tinder asking for 100 usd per hour anyway.

Fun times, and its only a 2 hour flight from Miami, so rock on!!
Nice honest report. The Sue can get frustrated for many of us; especially first timers. Out of frustration many of us often find ourselves paying more just to get the deed done. We have a pocket full of money however our dicks are harder than our patients or negotiation skills.

Unfortunately you did not overpay; you have establish the standard price. I mean if you over paid her the first time did you expect her to be cheaper than next?

You overpay once. Charge it to the game. You overpay twice. It's not considered the same.

I assume having a good time meant more than wasting time negotiating. I'm not passing judgment more than I'm understanding the scenario. You are the vein that keeps the Sue heart pumping.

Tinder my friend. Most of the high class girls that you can get with 150 usd (for 2 hours) will NOT go anywhere near the strip, or Rumba's, or the casino etc as they don't want to be associated with street girls or be around cops etc. Yes, if you want to stay out later at night you can find decent girls at the Casino or at Bailees, and they might go for 150 usd for the night. But they are to be 'consistent' working girls (even if they only come out a few weekends a month). The girls on Tinder are students and I don't think they get with guys that much. They are young, tight and clean. And it feels much more like a date where you don't know if you are to get any as many of the girls will NOT discuss money until when the act has begun or has finished. Many will take money for school or taxi etc. Take them out for drinks or dinner first, and it feels like a date and feels like you are conquering them when you get them in the sack rather than renting their services. It is much more fun in my mind. Street girls are much more mechanical, in and out, and often have depressed or bad attitudes where they would rather not be doing this with you.

Also, try the girls in Blue Ice which is next to Chez Montreal which is across from Rumbas. And report back who they are. I was curious what they were looking for and never went in and talked to them.

    Just my 2 cents.

Thanks. I was avoiding driving / riding since I'm vacation. I'm about a 10 min drive from the strip. Any ideas on how much a taxi would be?

    Pyramid Plaza

Heading back to DR and going to spend a couple days in Sosua late January. Not going to make superbowl. Staying in Pyramid Plaza for the first time. I have about 24 more hours to cancel, anybody stay there recently? Just wondering about how the hot water is, and if it consistently has electricity issues? Can't wait to report. Stopped in Sosua for a few hours during the day in early December and immediately was smiling for ear to ear. Not even because I was in awe of the women. I was just happy to be back in the town and see some familiar faces.

Theres always 3 or 4 drivers hanging outside of the New Garden waiting for customers.

They usually drive Toyota Siennas (minivan) - ask ALL drivers what there rates are.

    They will negotiate.

I just got back from there last night. I rented a golf cart to get around in and there's plenty of places that have them as well as scooters.
