One more thing on Global Entry. One time before COVID I went down to Tijuana and forgot my actual Global Entry card, I only had my passport. There was a small main line so like many times before I used the far right GE / Sentri line. When I got to the officer I told him I forgot my card but that GE is keyed to my passport. He told me I must have the card and told me to go back and wait in line. I started to argue that in airports I just use my passport and he cut me off and loudly and rudely yelled at me "This isn't an airport, go get in line! Those guys can be suck dicks!

So from my experience walking across the border at least at San Ysidro and flying into any US airport are the opposite. For walking over you need the card, don't even need to show passport to return. For flying back to the US, the card is useless, GE is tied to your passport which is used in the kiosk.

Yes you need the global entry card with you or don't go in tbr global entry sentri line. Usa border patrol is not mexixan border patrol. You can not crack jokes, act happy, you just banged six girls in 24 hrs, or had fun dancing drinking at pulgas. So your in good mood. Border patrol is never in good mood. All they know is ordering people where to go, to stop, and always on alert to be harmed themselves. Their only joy is staring at the halfway decent looking woman who cross by foot. If youvpay attention all them do it and they love to smile at them ask questions. For me they brush me thorough now since I got the card. Before that I had few incidents where the guy jumped from behind the counter "put your hands up" patting me down. When he felt my phone in a pocket and I said "I don't know what that is" he almost lost it. He wanted to find drugs so bad ibcould feel his desperation. . I got a million things in my acket pocket how the hell am I supposed to know on instant moments notice what he's touching.

When returning to air, land, sea entry in the US, Global Entry bearers have to have the card in their possession.

When you stand in front of a GE machine at airport, it reads RFID from the card in your wallet, take pictures of your face and use facial recognition to verify your ID and makes a GO or NO GO decision within 15 seconds. Compared that to 30-45 minutes wait inline with 450 passengers without GE returning in a B777.

I've had Global Entry since the program's inception, I'm on my 3rd renewal now and have used it well over 100 times flying back to the US in airports. It's unbelievably valuable for international travelers and yeah for crossing back from Mexico when the lines are long it's worth the price and hassle of getting even for that 1 time crossing back with long lines. Anyone making even semi-regular trips to Mexico should get one.

I also fly internationally a lot, and returning to a US airport is as you describe but I have never known the kiosk to read anything from the card. Global Entry is connected to the passport. I have always slid my actual passport into the passport reader, from there the facial recognition thing kicks in and the paper slips comes out, usually in 1-5 seconds never 15. I just did it a month ago. This is from the official web site FAQs:

I am off to Thailand again next month and I'll try when I return but I don't think the card has any use when flying back; only the actual passport book. I actually don't even bring my card but next month I will just to test this.

Otherwise at airports it's as you describe we just veer off to the GE kiosks which rarely have a line and if they do I have never waited more than 2 or 3 minutes. Then after immigration and picking up bags, there is often a special customs line that again is never long, in fact usually just walk thru as GE holders just get waved thru. It expedites walking back from TIJ using Cross Border Express into San Diego also.

I know this is off topic, but for those who go to Southeast Asia a lot (Hello, Thailand and Philippines!) The APEC card is similar to GE except it works in Asian countries and can also be a life saver when airports get packed, as you can use all the Diplo lines. It's especially helpful in NAIA which always has super long lines earning its ranking as the worst airport in the world. APEC card is harder to get though, you need a business reason to get one. But once you get it, it's easy to renew.

Walking from the parking lot through customs, walk out to the taxi stand, wait for taxi, ride in to La Zona Norte, in traffic the whole trip will take about 1 hour each way.

Fair enough if that's your individual experience. It has never once taken me that long. If I walked from my parked car near the border and walked over the border and walked all the way to the Zona Norte, I could see that taking me an hour though.

Without wasting 2 hours walking and cabbing across the border, we have 8 to 10 hours to spend in La Zona with hot girls every trip, so have no need to stay over night in Tijuana and waste the next day.

It absolutely is true. I've made several posts exclaiming how amazing having the Global Entry card is and just gliding past the enormous line getting back across the border on foot. Usually, I've been staying overnight in a hotel and will leave before noon, generally staying over on Saturday night and coming back on Sunday morning to the US side. The line from about 9 am - 12 noon is exceptionally long in the regular line. Being able to bypass it with the Global Entry card is incredible. What probably might be a three hour wait, takes three minutes.

Made some errors getting out the airport, cost me quite a bit of time. Then when I got there, hotels were full, no rooms left in Coahuila, and the last single at Rizo the'Ora went as I was asking at the counter. So I went to Riviera, that I'd been meaning to try sometime. $30 for a decent room, just wasn't the right night to try this one as there were vastly fewer street girls out in the pouring relentless rain than usual and it's tough to take girls from clubs there.

Crossing back in cars with GE in San Ysidro, you have to wave the card at the RF reader. It pulls up your ID for the CBP agent. Cameras also take pictures of the front and rear of the car, read the license plates,. High selectivity and directional audio mikes record any sound and conversation in the car.

One time I drove back in an unregistered car, identical in model and paint color with a registered one, only with different license plates, hoping the agent did not notice. When the car arrived at the booth, the CBP agent immediately told me this car was not registered, but let me go through.

Another time while waiting in line at the RF pole with all kinds of cameras and mikes hanging on it, I remarked to my wingman the blonde CBP woman was very attractive. Looked like our conversation was recorded in the agent's computer. She snarled at me not to fool around with federal officers. Man, she was very sexy as an authority figure hehe.

For the last 10 years, I drive back in SENTRI lane almost every weekend, discharge non GE wingmen near the gate to cross over on foot and drive across in 1 to 5 minutes. After 10 PM the pedestrian line is usually very short. The non GE wingmen usually walk across in 5 to 10 minutes and meet with me near the Jack in Box. CBP records all border crossing data but my crossing data must way too big for any federal computer to store. This is the most efficient way to visit La Zona with wingmen. Without wasting 2 hours walking and cabbing across the border, we have 8 to 10 hours to spend in La Zona with hot girls every trip, so have no need to stay over night in Tijuana and waste the next day.

Just be careful that CBP agents may arrest drunk drivers and call in CHP to do DUI tests in the Secondary Inspection tent. I have seen a guy driving a Toyota pickup truck in front of me, got arrested by CBP. He was shouldered by 2 agents and could hardly walk on his feet.

Why do American strip clubs hire morbidly obese women. I was at a strip club and there were 2 strippers that were at least 225 pounds. Not curvy or thick but obese. The worst part is they have nasty attitudes. What is it with fat women that think they are hot and how are they getting past the audition. There is this tall really beautiful woman who frequents the supermarket I go to. She is most likely the hottest woman I have seen in years. I think it has to do with the emphasis placed in American society on looks. Women who are pleased with themselves tend to have a better attitude and the converse is true.

I just got my Global Entry application approved. During the interview, I asked the CBP agent if Global Entry works for the Sentri lines at the San Ysidro pedestrian crossings. He said yes, it does. I hope it's true, because the lines to return to the you. S from Mexico can get quite long. But the interview took place in Atlanta, so I'd like to corroborate this.

Is it true? Can a USA Citizen use the Global Entry card to go through the Sentri line at Ped East and Ped West?

There's nothing tricky about Ticuan. I've stayed there dozens of times. It's literally monger central outside the Zona. I have no doubt many of us have walked past each other in the lobby, on the floors and getting on and off the elevators. I see escorts all the time entering and exiting the lobby. I have rapport with the door guys and will joke with them if there's been a lot of good looking putas that day / night which always gets them rolling. Everyone knows the score at Ticuan and now you do too.

Yup, and I've seen a lot of mongers, probably from the US side who speak perfect English in the lobby or roaming the halls. Haven't seen a lot of escorts, but I've definitely wondered if some attractive women with guys are. They probably are! I'm not sure why Ticuan would ever be viewed as difficult in the least. I love that it is so friendly towards having escorts and that it is such an easy place to stay.
