One thing I don't see mentioned much in the Rio vs SP debate is that Rio seems (to me, at least) to have better options for early evening mongering. In SP, the boates don't really get going until 10 pm whereas the Rio termas generally have good lineups after work and in the early evening. For someone like myself who may be working remote, this tends to make Rio a better option for weekday mongering.

I was in Brazil for about 6 weeks, of which two weeks was spent in Rio. I have been to Brazil before, but I am a newbie for the most part. I thought the best approach would be to just give my overall thoughts on things as that might provide more value.

Stayed in Copacabana for 14 days, had an AirBNB that was girl friendly. I had two friends with me, so the apartment was quite large. I must say that it was a struggle to find decent accommodation we paid through the nose for the place. Granted end of the year in Rio is a clusterfuck *but there were a few lessons learned. Given my tastes, I am likely to just spend a bit more and stay in Ipanema or Leblon next time. One question I have with regards to AirBNB is how frequently they are guest friendly? In future the preference would be to stay there rather than a hotel, the hotels are not great in Rio given the cost I must say. *.

I went to 4 termas - 4 x4, Solarium, Centaurus and Monte Carlo.

4 x4 was my favorite by far, loved the energy in the place and the selection of girls. Some nights I was doing multiple sessions there. Solarium was a bit more low key, but also very, VERY good. Monte Carlo did not have the same selection of girls I thought, but its close proximity to Copa made it convenient and I enjoyed it. Overall, when I return as a solo traveler next time I am going to spend the bulk of my time hunting in the termas I think, and will sprinkle in some massage therapists and girls from the clinicas.

Centaurus was a nightmare, which is unfortunate because the experience itself ended up being quite good with the girls in the room. Both me and my two friends were mauled when we got in there. There is one thing with the girls being aggressive, but we could not even get a drink in the damn place we were just being bombarded to the point we had to be rude with some of them. I actually suggested we walk, but both of my friends wanted to just stick it out and see how things went. I am assuming this is because they could see a mile away that we were tourists, but Ill never set foot in that place again.

The girls were relentless, and it was not fun at all with endless pressure to go to rooms and attempts to upsell before we even got halfway through a beer. I ended up taking two at once for a threesome, and even then the upselling did not stop. To the point that one of the girls disappears, then comes back to the room with a third girl! I had to threaten to leave before they accepted the no. At the end of the session, that same girl then pushed for a large tip and tried to convince me that I had not paid her yet, after which I said we would settle it downstairs and the bullshit stopped. Beyond that was a push for drugs too, obviously the plan is to get you inebriated and just accept everything they throw at you. I wish I could say that it was just me, both of my friends had similar experiences they said after we met downstairs. We spent all of 2. 5 hours in the club, of which 2 would have been in the rooms. We exited as soon as the sessions were finished rather than deal with anymore bullshit.

Its unfortunate because the threesome ended up being one of the best I ever had. Both of the girls where highly engaged with each other too, so even with the issues I had (and the cost! Not cheap!) the experience was very good. Both were great performers, and the quieter one who was feeling embarrassed by her friends antics I met outside the club on once occasion. She told me that competition is relentless there, and she was likely to go to a different club because it was getting worse with the girls behavior. The experience with her outside the club was very good too.

Pulled a ton of numbers from the boates and worked through a few girls though, as did my friends.

Dolce Vita on one occasion, while fun I preferred the Termas. Cost wise its the same and I just think you have better options at the termas.

We had 4 days in Barra, but got rained out a bit. I really liked Perola Negra, was disappointed that we only got to go once. I liked Barra a lot, however unless you have a car you are going to have to taxi everywhere. I can see why living here instead of Rio would appeal though, and I think once you get rolling in that place and build up a book of working girls and favorites it would be a pretty decent place to spend some time. If I was going to come to Rio for 3 months plus, I would likely choose Barra over Ipanama / Copa / Leblon area I think.

Also used the BarraVIPs site, must say I was surprised that even though the pics are photoshopped, the girls did match their profiles for the most part and I thought the value was reasonable.

Went to RJ Massagem, girls would not fuck on site but I got the number and ended up fucking a lady called Thais off site. She said all the girls should be available to meet outside, the owners were just strict about sex in the shop. Not sure how typical this is in Rio, in Sao Paulo was not the case at all.

No doubt this would have been cheaper if I spoke a bit more porto, was a solo traveler and had a bit more experience. On average though, the cost is not that much higher than Thailand these days all in when you consider the rate of the average barfine at a decent gogo. Sure you can fuck mongrels on Soi 6, but compared to what's at the termas and escorting the thai women are not in the same league not with these exchange rates.

I think the longer you intend to stay, the more Rio wins out because its a better city to stay in lifestyle wise.

If you have a short trip of a week or less, then SP has it beat.

I've found the talent to be better on Sunday more so than on Monday and Tuesday nights. As always, Ymmv.

There are plenty of lighter-skinned girls for the taking in Rio too. That's my number one preference, and I've never been disappointed with Rio on that count. Not ever. In fact, I think that if you want a good mix of both lighter and darker then Rio is the better pick. Sampa will lean more towards the lighter for sure. For better balance pick Rio. But then again why choose? It's like trying to pick between two kids! Show devoted love to both cities haha! I for one can no longer go to one without going to the other. Neither is better than the other. They are just different with both being great in their own ways and not to be missed!

Yes. That is how it is on the ground also. The women in SP are just hotter but also more expensive. If you are more into the darker girls, then Rio is the place for sure.

I did a quick search to my hotel in ipanema and you can get a black car for 95 reals. I don't want to deal with taxis or shuttles. Has anyone tried this before leaving for Rio.

Theoretically, yes, and they promise the driver will wait for you in case you're late. However, I've tried it twice (both times in Brazil), and it's never worked for me.

Have not done it but it appears to be possible in the app. Of course you run into the problems of a late flight or early flight. I would hate to be sitting around 45 minutes for an Uber that I ordered to be there later. Then if you get there later he will already be gone and more than likely with your money. Better to stick to that route when you know for sure you will be at the exact point at the exact time. If you get T-mobile you will not have to worry about wifi not working.

The truth about VM is, if you know what you're doing, you can most definitely find diamonds. I always do!

And of course you should stay away from the simple crappy rooms there at the little bars.

However, as I've posted before, there are some very seldom used rooms there, called suites.

Clean, AC, shower, etc.

Also love motels in the area.

I visit the other venues in Rio, but I'm always drawn back to the girl, the diamond I can find in VM.

And take her wherever I like.

Just me, I enjoy the prowl. LOL.
