I found it interesting to see reports from 10-13 years ago on this forum of women asking for $100. Enjoying what I am seeing from BoricuaOnline from back then. Also seeing appearances from you, OldKool, Grownman1, CoolieHigh. I think I saw a tripledarkness and DCups in there somewhere as well. It seems these women have been seeking that rate for some time but clearly have been giving it up for much less. I have paid a range of prices for different services over the last year or so. I wrote in my Santiago report I got a taxi from Sosua to Santiago for 6000 pesos but that was a typo. I got it for 3000 pesos (which at the time was around $60). Not many taxis will take you to Santiago for that price but just for others to know it is possible. Dominicans pay 3000 pesos for that trip.

The only thing taking me away from DR this year is my trip to Thailand in April. I feel like I am growing a little to attached to some of my new DR friends. And some of them too attached to me. I have been back to the island every other month since my first trip haha! The combination of Caribbean+Latina culture is the perfect storm for me. Comfortable and happy there.

2 nights ago I went to check the temperature at the hoarhouses that most tourists mention going to; the ones on the malecon. I parked the car on the street opposite the'Luis and got out to walk.

I went across the street to Oasis. Went upstairs and that was definitely where the party was. They were playing OT Genesis. I counted 15 chicks and there were several tourists standing around drinking and shooting the shit. I contemplated buying a drink and chilling but then I was like fuck that. I asked a chick what the prices were and she said $100 or 6000 pesos. I bid her good night and left out.

I agree. Anyone who thinks they can just randomly pick up women in SD as a short term tourist is wrong. First, you better know fluent Spanish, then you better know where to look, then you better hope they even want a monger. Not every hot chick is looking for a random tourist. Many already have boyfriends, lovers, and kids.

SD for me was a disaster, I was extremely lost because I don't know Spanish and the traffic was awful. Sosua was the "holy grail" I was looking for with more than enough WGs to satisfy anyone. If I ever return to DR, Im going straight to Sosua.


I dont necessary feel safe when I see security guards, dressed in regular clothes, armed with shotguns at every ATM/bank. But I agree, Ive been to plenty of shady places abroad that were still 100x safer than any shady place in America.

My theory is that known tourist/expat areas for the most parts are going to be relatively safe. Hell, Ive rented Airbnbs in sosua where my neighbors were Canadians or Europeans. I have no idea why a white family would want to live in sosua, but it goes to show you how safe DR is.

Yes, easy to get laid in Sosua. For Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Cupid was a godsend.

It would be interesting to hear from a criminologist why that is so as so many countries in the hemisphere, especially Latin American countries, are riddled with crime and the DR is no more economically prosperous than they are.

Haha. It's great to hear thoughts about both sides of a place. There's a tendency to sugarcoat shit, especially when talking about shagging pussy. Everyone wants to have a positive attitude, no one wants to hear gloomy shit repeatedly. But when you're buying something online aren't you just as interested, if not more, in the bad reviews?

I been comparing in my mind lately Davao City with Santo Domingo. Two midsize, rather shit-cities. In Davao my friend calls it "texting with retards". In Santo Domingo, one might call it texting with retards in Spanish. About money.

I can see why guys come back to both places. But the only reason I do is because I'm on a limited income, and in both countries I have my comfort zone. The draw for Dominican Republic obviously is Caribbean beaches. Does anyone fly to, or live in Santo Domingo and not go enjoy some tropical beach while they're at it?

For generic Viagra, I always use 100 MG Ethical Sildenafil at 100 P per tablet (less than a 1000 P for a box of 12). For generic Cialis, try tadalafilo by Calox or Acrofil. Don't recall the cost.

Could people please advise as to the ease of picking girls up off the street / bars etc. I'm a seasoned punter from Europe and had plenty of times in Thailand.
