Many moons ago when I first came to Taiwan, a naive neophyte to the ways of its people in the Longshan Temple area, my first stop was the Huaxi tea rooms stroll.

I will have to hand it to her, a thin, robust, energetic, attractive, opportunistic, lively, manipulative street walker spotted this green, stupid westerner from a distance, set her sights on my pockets, and unabashedly moved in to claim ownership of her new, exclusive cash cow, fearlessly protecting her kill like a depraved, famished, ravenous hyena. I kid you not. Every one of those adjectives are true in their embellishment.

I had no idea of price, as she devised an "a la carte" menu once she had me in the room, extracting thousands from me, and laughing all the way to the bank. This went on for a while until some other girls wised me up and blew the whistle on their overzealous greedy competitor.

She mastered the science of double-talking deceits to draw me into the room, promising every possible pleasure for a standard fixed price. Upon grabbing her fee, she would turn stone-cold before pricing every movement I made on her at an inflated markup until my pockets were empty..

I'll answer my own question. Stopped into the Brass Monkey, which used to be a very sports bar sports bar. Seems maybe it has acquired the Carnegie's mantle.

We both laugh and reminisce the days when she used to rob me blind and she probably bought a house in the country from all the dough she swindled from me.

But, because she is not one to walk away without something, and she always tells me a story about her starving mother who has no shoes, just to get rid of her and make her disappear, I give her some small change, but not before making her admit that she abused me and professing that she is sorry. Of course she'll say anything with a smile for money.

And, the other day, I saw her racing through the catacombs with her prized catch, a young, innocent westerner in tow. Poor sucker. I looked at the poor bastard straight in the eyes, shook my head and said "good luck," clearly knowing the way this is going to end for him.

If life and relationships were this easy, my life would have been an uncomplicated easy existence. I might even go as far as to say, that even a blind man with a red and white walking stick placed in the center of these alleys, would be swiftly and easily ushered to his destination to have his desires fulfilled.

A friend over there has told me that a lot has changed though. The free-bees of old seem to have dried up. Its much harder to find now. And, now that Carnegies is gone, what is the new "pick up" place for Pros? Or Non-pros. Thanks!

Maybe some of the other guys could chime in with specific compass parameters.

There are many ways to approach the general area known as The Diamond Building. But, one way to approach it is through a few different alleys on Kangding, with the nearest intersection being Guilin, across the street from the public bike rental racks on Kangding.

Another way to enter is on Guilin, close to the Kangding intersection, there is a very wide courtyard entrance to the alleys, next to a bike shop.

Another way to find it is tunneling through the alley on the right side of Xichang, while facing Guilin.

I guess I am making up for a very long drought in the not so distant past. (a common excuse for pleasure-seekers).

Anyway, one more won't hurt.

This is an odd psychic type event.

For the past few nights, I have been thinking pretty intensely about a lady that I haven't see in almost a year.

You got it. I walked into the temple area and we spot each other from a distance, almost immediately.

I am sure we all feel a certain deep connection with certain ladies. She is of that ilk. She doesn't press the timer, and we embrace for a very long time before we enjoy our exchange.

Truth be told, I refuse to have her on my phone because it will be a very easy temptation, and I know she will call me too often. She undercharges me and we have a long-standing relationship, that goes beyond language, as we barely communicate in words.

So, I felt deeply satisfied with that session.

Went onto a foot massage, and was knocked off my feet in a very pleasant way by some delicious street food. It was actually something I never had before. It was a rolled up and barbecued pheasant filet.

I am about 95% vegetarian, and I thought that it would be like an egg-roll with mostly vegetables and a bit or two of pheasant. But, no. It was extremely succulent and juicy pheasant. It was delicious!

After that, I took a stroll to see what I missed on Xichang, never entering the Diamond Building alleys today.

And, I will tell you, I was seriously tempted to go again. What basically stopped me was a few too many nice options. I couldn't decide between two lovelies conversing with each other.

But, other than a few beauties, mostly chubby moms. Only about four cuties. They were probably Diamond Building overflow. The Diamond Building was probably loaded with lookers. A function of the warmer weather.

But, I did resist and stopped my money spending hemorrhaging.

So amazing to find this forum here. I'm a longtime poster on the USA site. Now based in Asia for the foreseeable future. Any basic overview or words of wisdom for a Taiwan newbie? I have friends who are well versed in the KTV experience, but their norm is to drop NT 25 k-35 k for a full evening GFE. I'm much more interested in 30-60 minutes for a fraction of the cost, but would like to maintain a similar safety / security level that the higher price tag seems to offer. Anyway, point is, I know nothing about the scene here besides the high-priced KTV outcalls.

AbcGators, trust me, this is an old established red light district. People are there for one purpose. You look at them, and they look at you, "the size up. " It is primal, intuitive, blatantly clear, even if we all were deaf, dumb mutes, it would remain automatic and simplistic.

Sorry for going off with all of that, and I am not mocking the situation, but it really is that clear and easy when both sides know exactly what the other wants.

So, to answer your question, without the unnecessary rants, as soon as you approach each other or make eye contact, that initiates the process. Almost nothing needs to be said except a nod of agreement, and she walks you to one of the hundreds of closet-like under-furnished, except for a bed, tenement rooms, where sometimes a shower is offered.

And sometimes not, and nature takes over, as soon as she presses the timer for nothing exceeding 20 minutes.

And, depending on your choice of companion, and your chemistry together, I have experienced every level of satisfaction from, "Oh My God, I'm in love," to "Oh My God, why the hell did I just do that?

But, of course, having established a frequent-flyer relationship with one of your favorites, the tension evaporates, and ease infiltrates the process and session.

They are a chatty, gossipy sisterhood, though, for their own survival. So, they do share information on your MO, "modus operandi" with each other, which seams obligatory for the survival, preservation and safety of their profession. I have seen them flash glances and mutterings as if to say, he has been here before, or he is okay.

Unfortunately, I do have only one there that is not enamored by my presence. But, as far as I can tell, the only negative thing she can say about me is that possibly I took too long, and wasn't a quick-flip. Because, I do go out of my way to treat the ladies with the respect and admiration they deserve. Knowing full well that I will be returning, and not wanting to in any way give a girl a negative impression that she might share with the community and lessen the ease with which the system operates.

Agreed. The girl seemed nice and friendly, however as soon as she started you know she is going to rush. Barely doing any massaging and just randomly touching your back.

I always avoid spas that look like glorified brothels. You get cheated in them in so many ways. She usually has no massage skills, they cheat you time, and they do the perfunctory hand slide wand motion on your back, ask you to turn over, and brutally, savagely torture your junior member until he coughs up his essence. And total price tag is usually over 2000 NT for that debacle.

Far better to find a bonafide legit massage parlor with possible privileges, with a probably less attractive girl that knows her skill well, nurtures your body with a healing massage, and finds it in her heart to finish you off for a fair tip.

Don't we deserve that?

It is possible since a purely legit massage in Taiwan usually goes untipped. I mean the girls are usually flabbergasted when I tip on legit massage. So, a 500 NT stipend for a nice tender kind release, on a great 1200 NT, 90 to 120 minute massage, for a grand total of 1700 NT is a great deal for service and soothing on so many levels.

And, it is totally possible to get all your time on legit massage, plus special attention because you pay up front for your time to the boss, and if you leave early before your allotted time was completed, she knows the girl whacked you early, and you left. The boss in a legit place frowns on that type of behavior from her girls. She will be reprimanded and could lose her job.

But, we must show restraint, and not show our sexual gratification desire until the near end of the allotted massage time. It is like game management in this last Super Bowl. You wind down the clock to the last seconds with your legit massage before you ask her to attempt the field goal.

One time I went to a place for a 2 hour oil massage. I got horny way too early during a good massage, but she was splashing oil and kneading way too close to the boys, and I was starting to paw at her way too early, and she finished me, and I was out in an hour, not two hours and I wanted to pay the hour rate and not the agreed to 2 hour rate, and the owner was furious at myself and the girl because she knew the girl got tipped well, and the house lost money.

Met a very friendly and accommodating young lady in the XiChang Market. For some reason, I avoided the Diamond Building / Kangding area today. Looked like a lot of commotion, and I didn't want to get frazzled.

Anyway, this girl was just simplicity personified, in a good way. About maybe 30, Vietnamese, tiny, cute enough. 1. 5. No hassle, all smiles, diligent. Skipped the BJ because her enthusiasm and cuteness got me up fast. Overlubed, but that is okay.

Wonderfully, she was so petite and pliable, like a Gumby Doll. Really amazing how she flowed with no resistance. Super accommodating, warm, friendly, cooperative, and appreciative.
