Tripolitsa asks for 70 K for the transfer from the airport. Is it a correct price for a hassle free solution, or is it a total rip off? IF so, what are the hassle free solutions?

Hi I hesitate between Tripolitsa and Hotel des Artistes. Both look good, and were confirmed by our master Pokeris hahaha.

Any thoughts, very good or bad experiences on these 2 hotels? I'll stay 6 days in Tana, so maybe 3 nights each?

You have other hotels at tana cheaper and girlfriendly in the same area. I tested shanghai (have a nice restaurant and bath tub), LE relais Normand (big room next to the big market where you can find enjoy! Sole (many freelancers waiting for you just outside the hotel).

For prices and location just look on Booking.com.

Of course the two that you mention are a little nearer from " cabaret LE glacier."

It is not always 20 K ST and 40 K LT. Could be much higher in Tana or Nosy Be. But certainly you will get many girls with these prices.

Anyway, I'll go there for 3 weeks in April-May, and as usual, I'll report. As I always did in Thailand, RepDom, Brazil, or Cuba. I'll go to Tana, then NosyBe.

As others have said, you don't need to read up on regulations about visas. If you only need 3 weeks, just go. No hassles upon arrival except of course the long wait for all the immigration bullshit to be over. I may be wrong but I am not sure about no USD for visas. I cannot recall for certain but I am pretty sure I used USD for the VOA and it was not an issue. Having the correct amount does help.

As for your 20/40 rule. Most of the time yeah, but I wouldn't use it as an absolute. Would you tell a gorgeous girl to take a hike for 2 euros? I applaud your desire to keep prices and expectations down but don't use 20/40 as a hard and fast rule. A ladies drink in Pattaya or AC is as much or more than a ST in Mada, and you don't need to buy them there!

I very doubt with this price range you will get best lookers in tana and nosybe. Some street dogs or glacier ugliest maybe yeah but nothing more. Your price range can work in small towns but not in tana and nosybe for best looking girls. Increase at least 50 percent your price range maybe you have more luck when.

You're French? Why do you ask? Forget all these "EVisa" websites. Take a flight. Land. And get visa on arrival for 1 or 2 months. Pay euro cash. Make sure you have the exact amount ready. No US Dollars. The 3rd month you can extend also. After 3 months you have to leave that beautiful island.

Not enough traffic through this airport to support any kind of business really. The shops have gone unrented and likely most of them to stay that way. But you can go into the lounge now where it's pretty nice and there's food. With not enough first class passengers, they let in coach class flyers for a nominal fee. Policy is evolving.

Hi, I'm french and arrive there soon for 3 weeks. Info about how to get a visa is very low: the french gov and Mada embassy websites don't say same things. Is it true that you can go there only with your passeport, and get a 1 month tourist visa at your arrival, at Tana airport? What anout e-visa? Are they legit, as there are dozens of different websites proclaming they are only the real one!. I can't call the embassy today, as it is a holiday for Mada people. Can you please enlight this?
