I'm on the west coast and it ends up being about the same amount of time for us crossing the pacific and connecting primarily through Japan, the trip ends up being around 30 hours to BKK. In addition, it consists of three flights for me as I don't live near an international hub.

Good to hear things are still well like last year in Pattaya.

A girl getting big bucks is likely to have a live in Thai boyfriend who she gives money to.

For a Thai man to pay money for sex in Pattaya would be rare.

Exactly. And the prices asked from tourists are one step above what is asked from the locals. A women that would be happy with 1000 baht from a thai customer, want 1500-2000 from a tourist. And that is why you just say that you pay max 1000, or 1500 for a younger and cuter one. Check the sideline webpages. See what thais are paying. I have seen several gogo-class girls receiving customers for 30 minutes a 1000 baht. 1500 for 60 minutes. Older ladies get less.

My understanding as to the prices at go- go's was because of the bars paying girls on 10 - 30 day contracts, they have to increase the barfine and sometimes require you buy the girl a required number of lady bar drinks to complete the deal. That's the bars break even pricing. That said, the 8 - 10 rated girls have always been able to command higher ST and LT fares.

Thailand vet, but Pattaya rookie. Done some research, and while nothing is as good as first hand experience, would like to get opinions about MClub if anyone has one to share. I have heard Heaven is a fun G club, but I have also heard they have had a name change. Any information is appreciated!

I'm back in Pattaya for hopefully most or all of the summer.

As I get older, the flight over from the US East coast gets more challenging- both in terms of handling the 26-30 hour flight duration and the 11 hour jet lag time zone displacement. Science* says that one day of recovery is required for every time zone crossed and I've found this to be true. European / Aussie mongers will not experience this problem and think us American's soft but I assure you the struggle is real. I spent my "recovery" time in high energy trekking type stuff in other SEA countries which was probably not wise in some ways but turned out ok. I arrived in Pattaya more or less recovered from the circadian displacement. My plan for future trips is to break the flight up with a day or so in Doha or Dubai, or even 3 or 4 in Istanbul..

From my observation guys are not getting Hosed at gogos spending 4-5 times what you spent.

It doesn't make sense to refer to good looking girls as gogo-class girls.

Most gogos are filled with more than 5 O% of unattractive girls, a good bunch of average girls (these two categories are the ones that most customers finish with) and a handfull of good looking girls only.

So which category are you referring to? Obviously not the last one.

Walked in front of Helicopter bar in soi6 this evening and noticed a few Nightwish girls inside.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's now a Nighwish bar too.

My hotel manager friend says they had a great "extended season" but come June his bookings have dropped off a cliff and the prices will go down. I'm staying at a high-mid range hotel in the Buakhao area but will switch to one of my favored long term hotels in a week or so.

I started things off with a 24 yr old spinner from TF who asked 1500 which I accepted. She was in my range of the type of girl I like: small, slender, age 30 or below, face probably a 6.

I start my trips from the same time zone and I've tangled with the same jet lag. Here's what works for me.

No alcohol during the flight to Thailand. I realize some gents start the holiday clock upon arriving at their hometown airport, and I realize lots of guys use central nervous system depressants of various types to aid sleep while flying. But that just doesn't work for me.

Instead I choose a flight that departs after sundown and I skip the proffered meal. After a few hours, I'm usually tired enough to at least doze a bit. During the layover I again stay sober and limit my snacking to a light bite. The second flight is more difficult because I'm anxious to arrive, but squirming doesn't make the jet fly any faster.

I touchdown in Bangkok around dawn, and the sunrise wakes me up enough to handle the formalities and to get into one of Nam's taxis. The excitement builds during the drive, and I'm usually wide awake by the time we arrive in Pattaya. That gives me several hours of energy to get settled in, to lay in some supplies and to have a bite of lunch. Always at the J. Daeng, by the way. There's just something about being at ground zero in central Pattaya that screams HOLIDAY.

As the afternoon wears on it's the middle of the night on my body clock and it's easy to take a combat nap. The secret is to set the alarm for around sunset, lest my schedule shift into total vampire mode. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) The first night I'm tempted to go hard. But that's a rookie move. A few drinks and a few laughs with the usual suspects, then perhaps a quick snack and I'm back in bed.

I know I'll bolt awake around dawn, but that's fine. The key is to get outside and walk to breakfast - preferably staying outdoors while dining. For the next few days I still need an afternoon snooze. But usually after three or four days I'm on Pattaya time.

Good to see Mr. Sopheni posting again. I look forward to his take on the ground truth during the low season.

Been to Pattaya many times only with GF so never had chance to solo explore. This is going to be my first time.

I was wondering if there is short time room in those go go bars?

Do I have to buy lady drink first?

Or I can Straight proceed to do deed?

Think of GoGo Bars sort of like strip clubs. The only difference is there is a higher chance you might get to buy the girl out for short time versus at a strip club.

I think all your questions relate to beer bars on Soi 6 and not Gogo Bars. They're different from each other.

With such good fun to be had for 1500-2000 I'm not sure why guys are blowing 4-5 times that getting hosed at GoGo's. Everyone does it their own way and that's a beautiful thing.
