Flights into POP are ridiculous. Santiago is much closer than Santo Domingo.

More ridiculous is that the Spirit airlines flights in and from Santiago arrive / depart at 2-3 am in the morning. You either stay awake all night or crash in Santiago.

I good evening everybody. I plan on taking a trip from Santo Domingo to Sosua next month, I was wonder if anybody has ever rented a car to do this trip. For some reason there was no good flights from my city to Sosua (puerto Plata) so Santo Domingo was the next option.

Flights into POP are ridiculous. Santiago is much closer than Santo Domingo. If you go that way, I can give you the number of the gentleman who drove me from Santiago to Sosua. Friendly guy, fair rates and a modern, Air conditioned car. Charged me 4000 DOP each way.

Yep. I have been renting a car and driving all around the country since my 4th time there about 17 years ago. I can not longer see myself there without access to a vehicle because I move around like the wind.

Google doesn't do anything with those coordinates either.

My map skills are minimum. I simply plug these coordinates into google maps and got "Google Maps can't find 18 d31 m12.8 and 69 d53 2. 7 W". I tried plugging this in a number of ways with the same result.

A street address (or even the name of the nail place) would help those of us who are computationally challenged!

Send me a message and I can get you better directions. Check out the original post for names, names of streets etc. Just a disclaimer. This isn't the type of nail place you will find at plaza noli. Closer to more tourist activities. Closer to police etc. Good for cheap manicure / pedicure / beer. Prices posted in original post.

But all sarcasm aside, I suggest that you make contact with an attorney that handles immigration issues for Dominicans who want visas for other countries. If you asked me how do you get a visa for a chica to visit the United States of America wouldn't know and I spent most of my life living there.

This is not a surprising response, except it is so parsimonious in content that I cannot tell if you have actually done this, or have tried and failed to bring a chica to Europe. When you say "Job Letter", you mean a job in the DR? Everything else is easy to arrange.

Does anyone have experience getting a schengen visa? What does my chica need to show when she goes to the Spanish or French embassy?

I have been mongering in Sto Domingo for 15 years and yet I have no idea what this place is. Is it a Plaza with street girls?, a casa?, a massage place?, a bar?

You are overthinking it. It is just a corner with shops. Barber, salon, nails, etc. But you can walk into a place and go in the back room with one of the chicks that work there. Damn the 2000 or 2500. I have never had a problem bargaining for 500 pesos there. I would say if you must then pay 1000.

If you walk out of the side entrance of Grands and go left, you enter Plaza Noli at the corner. It is the same block and I think the buildings are connected together on the outside. Here is a picture from google.

Nah, it is at 18 d31 m12.8's and, 69 d53 m12.7's W.

It did something with coordinates when I uploaded the last post.

I'm dating again. You know, real dates not just straight to the cabana dates (I'm always doing that). I have to really like a chica to take her out to eat. My time is too valuable to waste it on a girl I have no chemistry with while sitting and having dinner. El Corrido, Calle Lic. Carlos Snchez 14, Santo Domingo 10119 is a Mexican restaurant. Or shall I say a Mexican / Creole restaurant. Think Tex / Mex with a twist. Food is good. I had the tacos, my chica had the wet burrito, in the restaurant and in the cabana afterwards. We were both happy with the quality of our food. But I had a problem with the speed of the wait staff. Even though I had cleared my schedule and there was nothing pressing there is a pace and rhythm that good with good service and this place did not have it. With so many other Mexican restaurants to try in Santo Doming it will be a while before I return to this one.
